Party rentals are a joke. they don't set up anything and don't host the party. Justin is a complete butthole and doesnt know how to speak to patrons that paid for an unlimited party package. Disappointed. PROS: 1. Putt putt golf. Overall good indoor (huge plus considering it's winter time) course that was enjoyable, however there were a few mechanical obstacles on the course that were not functioning. And the 18th hole is bad. You don't even get to finish out the hole. You hit one time and it either goes in the hole or into the ball return trough. CONS: 1. Laser tag was closed. 2. Food was not available. 3. Several arcade games not working. One of them took our money so we reported it to the only employee we saw the whole time. She was less than helpful and stated that the arcade games were run by a third party and she couldn't do anything about it. 4. To cash in your tickets there are two vending machines. At first I thought this was cool but if you are purchasing small items, you can only buy one at a time and it takes forever to dispense. Also, the prizes are absolutely terrible. I am not expecting high dollar items but Dave & Busters is way better. Even Chuck E Cheese prizes put this place to shame. Nothing in those machines are worth more than 10 cents other than the candy necklaces so we just bought 15 of those but it literally took us 30 minutes to buy them. Can't rate the skating or the movie theater as we didn't do either. read more

I would be giving Hollywood Connections 5 stars if it weren't for the unprofessional, ghetto employees. Here are all of the fun family activities at Hollywood Connections: Laser tag, put put (mini golf), huge arcade, AMC movie theatre, and roller skating. STORY TIME: Here's the reason I will never return here: Roller skating is what ruined Hollywood Connections for me and my kids. What I am about to tell you is 100% real and actually happened. I saw it with my own eyes. So, their roller rink has employees that stand in the middle and help kids up if they fall. Or at least that's what they did the first time I visited here. The second time, two employees were racing each other through large crowds of kids on a crowded kids. I saw many times where they almost hit people. My daughter was standing toward the side of the roller rink, waiting for her younger brother to catch up with her so that they could skate together. One of the employees that were racing literally skated at full speed straight into her. They both fell to the ground, and the employee got up and continued skating like nothing happened. My daughter was lying on the ground bawling, because she had literally been hit by an employee. They didn't care whatsoever, and continued racing. I ran out onto the rink to help my kid. Luckily, she wasn't seriously injured to the level of concussions. Just few bruises and open wounds. That could have been much worse, though. When I told management about what happened, they were very unapologetic. I was accpecting at least an ice pack, maybe even a refund, after my daughter was hit by an employee who was messing around and skating at full speed! I'm stating to think that they never even told those workers to stop, because I still saw them racing. So, all in all, stay away from Hollywood Connection! It's a dangerous environment! It has lots of potential, and would be great, except for the careless employees and management who don't care about their customers' safety. read more

As a stock holder I'm very disappointed with the treatment received by the staff yesterday during a friends birthday party. The staff is rude, inconsiderate and not helpful at all. I've never been treated so poorly and it's very concerning. If this is how we were treated I can only imagine how others are treated. The party was at 2 upstairs in the glow room at 2:20 I ask where the party coordinator was at and a women spoke up and asked what we needed. I asked her how long they had the party room for because my friend was clueless on what was supposed to happen. She advised an hour, then everyone goes down to skate. I then asked if the lights were supposed to be off since it's a glow party and she advised she would turn the lights off after that she disappeared and didn't return for the rest of the party. They had extra kids arrive and had to chase down bracelets, then chase down cups, plates, plasticware etc. Next thing I know she comes up and tells them party is over and they have to pay 25.00 to clean up and rudely starts picking stuff up off the table to include the glow necklaces and other items to throw away. I had to tell her to stop throwing the kids stuff away. She then proceeds to tell us line 1 of the contract says there is no hostess And that we need to go downstair. Then she give us a pitcher of water and a handful of straws and says the kids can share the pitcher or we can pay 6.49ea for cups. I could go on and on about the disrespect and hatefulness we encountered but the bottom line is I don't recommend spending money for a birthday party there. You could save you money and have a better time somewhere else or just pay to skate and set up a table for free since you have to do it all yourself anyways. read more

This place was once a great cornerstone of entertainment in Columbus. Now I'm not really sure how they keep the doors open. We tried booking a party for the skating rink. There is no option to book online you have to call and speak to an "ambassador or fun" the thing they don't ever say is the isn't a party planner. I called weekly for months and never got an answer or a call back. Even went by a couple of times and the party planner always happened to be off that day. We decided to show up one day and just skate. They weren't open. The hours posted online do not reflect the hours the my are actually open. I would say you need to call ahead, but they won't answer. read more

I wish I could give zero stars but that's not an option. my skate size was way to big and when I asked for a smaller size for the second time they grabbed me by my hair and body slammed me on the floor. I shook it off as them having a bad day and just went to skate. But then one of the employees (which were racing with other employee) bumped into me and called me a beaner and slammed me into the ground forehead first.All while laughing at me and calling me fat chubs. They then proceeded to ask how I got over the border with all this weight holding me down. Please dont come to this place if you are tanned or a poc. read more

I wish I could leave a zero star review and it still go through, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. I called this place short notice to see about having what the girl on the phone told me is called a " pop up party" last night for my son and a few close friends and family. We arrived and things went smoothly until they didn't due to a sheriff deputy apparently hired by this place by the name of Julie Johnson. This sheriff insisted on targeting my son only because he had a hoodie on with the hood on his head. There were kids everywhere and adults with hoods on as well , but she somehow just saw my son. Mind you he was not causing any trouble, kicking babies, tearing up games just enjoying his birthday. He was self concious about his hair and is the reason he had the hood on. His face was not covered up at all either. This sheriff made it a point to say something to him about something else as i sat close by. At first i didn't say anything. It wasn't until his father told me she'd come inside the cafe to say something else and threatened to throw him out because of his hood! She made a special trip to come inside where we were eating , sitting and talking and put her damn finger in my son's face!! I went out to speak to her and walked up to her in another child's face clearly questioning him and showing so much attitude that a girl who worked there actually came over to let her know that the kid was fine to which this sheriff smirked and said " Oh ok!". When i walked up , i said Excuse me and she ignored me. Then she finally gave me her attention and i ask her what was the policy on wearing hoodies. She looks at me and crosses her arms, cocked her head to the side and with the same smirk tells me " You can't!". I explained to her that she'd spoken to my son and that i was just curious because she kept saying things to him. I also ask about hats and she said they coild be worn. I pointed at a sign that clearly said " hats not allowed". This sheriff got smart with me and her bidy language changed dramatically and this woman stood before me like she was challenging me! I ask her why she had an attitude because i simply ask a question and she smirked and told me she didn't have one. We stood there staring at eachother. I ask her why was she so aggressive and she continued to show attitude until my son's father came over then she started arguing with him and forgot about me. She told us that she worked for Hollywood ( another sheriff told us they didn't work for Hollywood) and that she would throw our son out. All over a HOODIE!! One sheriff told us he could wear it this time when we explained what happened yet this woman went and found an employee to come say something to us! Sheriff Deputy Julie Johnson continued to stare me down looking me up and down the entire time i was there! The manager of Hollywood was nasty and rude also and actually closed the door ON my son's father when he was talking with her and when he ask why she'd do that she told him " Because I'm done with you"!! Rude and unprofessional people running this place. They advertise this place to be fun for the family and the sheriff they hire to protect the kids is bullying the kids and targeting certain ones while allowing others doing worse to continue. Parents please be aware and please talk to yoir children about going in this place if you allow them to go alone. If the people in charge will treat adults like crap imagine how they will be treating your children when not in your presence! read more

Absolutely fabulous find in Columbus! Other appeared to have reviewed just the movie theater. We did NOT visit the movie theater but did enjoy the laser tag, bounce houses, mini golf and video games. My son LOVED our visit. So much that he said he wanted to have his upcoming birthday party here (We live in Florida!!!) First when you walk in you see the bounce houses. There is one for toddlers and about 3-4 other large ones for big kids. Each of these is connected to make one long bounce house with slides, ball hoops, obstacle courses and climbing areas. I followed by toddler through so I have first hand experience in there. The houses were fairly clean and well maintained. Next we did the mini golf. I was REALLY impressed by the course. It was all indoors (perfect because it rained all day!) and very clean. The course was fun and challenging with neat décor like waterfalls, dinosaurs, shipwrecks and even a King Kong skyline that rattles and shakes when you get your ball to the right spot (see pictures). The 18 hole course took us just over 30 minutes. We killed some time playing video games- nice games but pricey. Each one cost about $1 in tokens. Typical. There was a nice sized roller skating rink that we did not use. There was a summer camp going on and the DJ was playing 4 corners with the kids. We walked around and saw that the rink was well maintained as well. They also have a spacious 50s style diner. An employee said they have the best pizza in town. We, however, did not eat here. Finally we played a game of laser tag which is upstairs. When you go up you walk through this massive room with lots of little nooks and crannies for different parties to run simultaneously. I could imagine this place being out of control during peak times. As it was a Monday mid-day the place was empty. Laser tag was fun for what it was. It's a dark room with some barriers to hide behind and black light paint with alien themes. You get points for shooting others vests. Each game lasts about 7 minutes- we worked up quite a sweat in those 7 minutes! I wish the course would have been a little more creatively designed but it was ok. Each activity is paid for separately (see photo) or you can buy an all day wristband for $25. This was a really cool place (especially since we about had the place to ourselves!) that I would recommend to anyone with kids who need to burn off some energy on a hot, cold or rainy day. read more

If I could rate this place a zero I definitely will. I'm speaking exclusively about the skating rink . I think it's very disappointing and very hurtful that a parent would have to pay to go into the Skate Center in chaperone their own child . In times like these a business should be glad that the parents want to come in and monitor their kids . I know times are hard for everyone and y'all are not making as much money before the other family members over there in the area but you do not have to rob the families or have them pay extra money because of greed . And having parents pay a five extra dollars to watch their child Escape is very very disappointing . We will not be coming here again to the skating rink . And all the other kids that I used to bring here and even did field trips here but it definitely will not happen again . You guys need to rethink your business situation . That's probably why the business is not as good as it used to be because of greed this is supposed to be a fun place for kids and Families . But having the parents to pay a $5 extra to come in and watch their child should never ever be done ever . Visited Hollywood Connection again this evening & it did not disappoint. We have visited quite a few times in the past year+ that we have lived in the Columbus GA area & have always been impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, the variety of activities available as well as the affordability. My spouse and I came in for a game of mini golf & paid around $15 for both of us. The 18 hole course is fun, inventive & has lots of interactive props at the different holes. It's fun while still presenting a small challenge for both kids and adults. There's something for everyone at Hollywood Connection! My son loves the arcade & is always happy to see new games being added to the selection. Additionally, the laser tag & roller skating rink are awesome for parties or other group outings. The added bonus is that before or afterwards you can go catch a movie right next door at AMC Classic Ritz 13! I love that Hollywood Connection is always offering coupons in the "Town Shopper" mailers, group deals, and weekly discount nights for their customers to take advantage of. Overall, this is a great place to take your family/kids, great for low-key date nights, or just to kill some time & have a little fun. I could give Hollywood connection 0 stars but that's not an option here on Yelp. The Roller Skating rink and diner are run by the worst and most unprofessional managers I have ever encountered. It is billed as a Family Fun Center, but it is exactly the opposite. Brought the kids to skate on 03/01/2020, kids were having fun at first but then the fun ceased. A couple of children entered the diner and asked for a cup of ice water, the employee working in the diner refused to give the children a cup of ice water, told them to use the water fountain. The children proceeded to tell myself and other parents what happened, I approached and asked for a cup of ice water, the employee was very rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak with a manager, a very rude and I mean rude manager named Tracy appeared and said no cups of ice water are going to be given out. I asked for her managers name and she refused. The next incident was when we returned to the Diner and asked for 5 Chocolate milkshakes, the same rude employee said , I just cleaned the mixer so there will be no milkshakes being made !! This was at 7:00pm and the diner does not close for a few hours after that. What kind of management runs this establishment and hires these rude and terrible employees ? Its suppose to be a Family Fun Center, but its beginning to be more of a nightmare there. I would not recommend AMC/ Hollywood Connection to anyone. There are way to many options to take your children to and have fun, and not at movie theater prices for drinks and snacks, and employees and management who treat you with dignity. read more

I go to the movies at Hollywood Connection fairly regularly. It's definitely an aging theater, but I think they are about to do some remodeling. It has been abused at the hands of the local teen scene for quite some time, so it's a good time to give it a facelift. But the staff is friendly, the movies are fun, and the popcorn is great. If the movie you want to see is playing here, I don't see how you would have a choice unless you want to wait for the video. :) read more

15 mins before the end of the 1 hour allotted party time for my son, I was told that we couldn't bring homemade cakes, this was RIGHT when we were about to do the cake and sing, and we had to put the cake away. Thank you, Jasmine!! We got to sing over Sprite and my son got to blow out no candles. No photos or videos of that moment for him. Appreciate it! You ruined his party. With an attitude as well! Arcade center is alright. Limited, yet eats money up on that hollywood card real quick. Xanadu training is pretty pointless. They have the kids all roller skating and crashing no individual training. Was with my daughter to give her tips they told me to get off. Like "hello, I'm trying to help my child which you're obviously no help at all!" I think the trainer was abruptly rude. If training isnt too well of course which made us resort to a skater trainer. Food is pretty mediocre. Lockers are just another waste of money and time. They have to be the ones to open them up every time you need something. Update: Did the caddt shack today & beats the craziness of xanadu. Great quiet way to play as a family. I went to this theater for a movie a few weeks ago. It was fine. Clean, comfortable enough. It wasn't extra cold like most theaters are, so I liked that. My daughter and I went here to play putt putt on Halloween. That was a little something fun to do, and it was different. I particularly like the golfing area. It is well-designed. The arcade games are overpriced, but that's normal, these days. The bouncy house doesn't appeal to me because it is limited. For the price, I would take children to Monkey Joes (And the thought of that is not very appealing lol). My daughter has a party scheduled there this weekend and we are definitely looking forward to the glow room and skating! read more

We came for my birthday today Monday 6/27/16 Put put golf was fun and we enjoyed the skating rink. But I advise anyone going to keep your belongings attached to you. Especially wallets, purses, and cash. Normally I would not take to reviewing a place based on a random thief. But I have reason to believe that one of the employees in charge of the skating rink stole cash from my girlfriend's wallet. We came on a Monday, and we came during a time when one of the skating summer camps were in session. The only people in the rink were myself, my girlfriend, a bunch of kids, and the camp counselors. My girlfriend set her purse down for less than 5 minutes and it was missing, we went up to the counter and the purse was sitting on the counter where someone had turned it in. It was only when we left that we discovered that the wallet with around $100 cash was missing. We called back and the wallet was in the lost and found, empty. As I said we were the only ones in the skating rink besides the children and the camp counselors hired by HC. So it was either one if the employees or one of the children at the camp. Either way, keep your belongings on your person, or use one of the lockers. read more

I was overcharged for mini golf by $2 according to the pricing on the LED screen just to the left of the checkout. When I notified the cashier of the discrepancy, she called over a manager who reluctantly later told me her name was Tracy. Tracy was unwilling to speak to me about it on any level until she watched the Marquee flash through what she mentioned might be five or more minutes worth of displays before it would circle back around to the pricing for the golf. I finally got tired of waiting since we had already been overcharged. I asked for our balls to start our mini golf game. While the cashier indicated the pricing had just recently changed to $7 for everybody, neither she nor the manager was willing to acknowledge that there could even possibly be a discrepancy on the LED display. I asked Tracy as I passed by her if she would return my money when she saw the discrepancy on the screen and simply return my card to me at the mini golf course. By hole six, she had never come. So we returned to the cashier at which point Tracy immediately refunded miscellaneous $2. When I ask for her name, she said she never saw the pricing on the LED screen but took my word for it. Now? After what amounted to about a 30 minute wait and my card being kept on hold at the front desk. That's not customer service. I run a small business in Columbus Georgia to, and I certainly don't want to make my customers feel anger every time they think of my business. read more

I've been to movie Theaters all around the states. Some of them a bad, some of them are Real bad. Some should be good but they want to be bad... This was is A-OK. Your average small town movie theater. I lived in North Carolina Fayetteville for over a year and they had a shitty ass theater. This is a good theater. Yes hello me and 6 of my friends got kicked out cause one of my friends had his jeans a little low instead of a worker telling him to pull them up a little she told everyone of us to leave paying 14$ to get in we were there for 10 mins and a worker comes up little short dude come and punches me to slow down when I've been skating for 6 years then goes and tells his manager that I was being dangerous and disobedient after him telling me to slow down he hits me again making me almost run into a kid 14$ is kinda ridiculous to skate and get kicked out and not even getting a refund read more

I've been skating for 15 years and I can honestly say this is the worst skating rink I've EVER been too. There are no regulation on the skating floor. You can not enjoy skating without a child falling over your feet every 10 seconds. I've never been to a skating rink that doesn't require the children that can't with skate walkers to stay in the middle. The customer service is even worst, before I left a skate rink monitor literally screamed at me an inch away from my face. I told him I was leaving and he called another employer to escort me out. As a passionate skater, I will never be returning here again. read more

If you are not going to answer your phone at least have a website so people can find out times and prices. It is the 21st Century, technology is at your finger tips...utilize it!
