It has a large ventilated see thru bubble front and expands with mesh to about 4+ feet. I'd recommend it to anyone needing it for a balcony an area where kitty can see and be out. I called and they told me that they only had one left in stock and that they'd hold it for me. I arrived mid-day on a Tuesday and the place was quite busy. I met two resident cats and picked up my bandage. It looks like they have all sorts of food and anything you'd need. I was more concerned about getting home then browsing but the lady behind the counter was quite nice and we chatted about cats & traveling with them, I will return and if you're looking for something specific, they might just have it!

The self-guided tours are wonderful and the property is gorgeous. The volunteers and founder Trina (her partner and co-founder passed away-- rest in power, Barb!) are such great stewards of the property and such great caretakers of the residents. Once you cross the foot bridge over the beautiful stream, you can visit with all of the residents & you can scan the qr code posted along the way, you will learn the stories of the individuals who live at AH. There is a wonderful thrift store as well! So much gratitude that this beautiful labor of love sanctuary is in the area!

Today, we rented the washing room for Mom's 2 dogs that are socially challenged. We have used this room for years. Next thing we know a new employee is knocking on glass telling us that another dog is coming in and that the locked door is a fire hazard. We rented the room for an hour. I was under the impression that this inside lock only was to prevent dogs from running out of washing area. Never heard that one before. That's cool but then a frightened chocolate lab is standing right outside the door and our dogs go nuts. Poor lab's bowels release while we are trying to leave. It was a cluster. Sadly, we won't use Patton Ave Pet for anything- food, treats, bones, beds, toys, chews, dog washing. We both have spent thousands of dollars there since 2013 not only for our pets but also for all the rescue dogs we have had the privilege to care for.

(Choke chains, shock collars, etc) I had found The dog door online with the campaign of Asheville being a dog city. We were going to stop in Asheville on our way home from a hike. When we came into the shop and shared our issue, the staff member took us in the a separate room. She gave our dog treats and created a positive experience in trying on her suggested new harness. The harness is amazing and he has yet to slip out of it. He loves his harness and has made him a more confident dog, in stressful situations. I will be back!
