I found Classic Hair and Nails Studio. I was there at 10am when they opened and I was first in line, as a small crowd had gathered before they opened. They washed my hair twice and conditioned it first. The hairdresser was waiting for me when they finished. I explained the bad experience I had and she said that the former hairstylist (if you can call her that) did not cut my hair properly. She even went so far as to say that it was the worst haircut she'd ever seen. Which I concurred. She really gave me a lot of attention and a gorgeous style. She thinned it out and gave it lots of layers. It has a timeless style that I can do multiple things with now. I plan to return in two weeks and have a complete color and highlights done. Just in time for summer.

Not only was the…read moreenvironment here wonderful, and Tina and Kevin just as great as my daughters and wife had been telling me for years now, but I also had a manicure and pedicure myself. The place is a nice size but not overly huge and located right on Lincoln Ave in Prospect Park, and is just perfect. The few times that I have had my nails done I have never enjoyed the much larger places because you never get to know the wonderful people behind the masks and counter taking care of you. I was helped by the wonderful Landy, who was more than happy to entertain my flip-flopping back and forth on what I really wanted to do with my nails and how I wanted to do it, along with my incessant conversation and questions. I love to learn everything I can about everything I can. She worked with the skill of an absolute master and did such a wonderful job and even figured out how to pair everything just right, and then even agreed as I was leaving to be my tutor to help me in my current quest to learn Chinese when I am in there! So excited! They provide all the services you would expect from a nail salon, plus a few extra, and are easily the nicest group of people I have ever encountered in this industry. I cannot say that I have an absolute breadth of experience with places, but the friendliness, care, and effort to make you feel at home is unmatched in anywhere I have been before. If you live in the area you should definitely be checking out T & K for your next manicure or pedicure or other service, you'll be so happy that you did, and likely keep returning time after time.

She didn't clip my toenails barely filed them, and I could have gotten better polish at the dollar store. They are definitely way over priced. I will say the salon itself is very beautiful. Very nice inside and the people were nice but it's over priced and the quality is not great definitely my least favorite pedicure I've had in the area.

Whoa. Not busy today but I have got to say it's the fastest and smoothest color change I've ever…read morehad. Side notes: I have short nails and get gel. I walked in, the nail technician removed my old nail color and soaked my finger tips in acetone (not my favorite but it saves cotton balls, aluminum foil, and my time). I pick my color during the time she removed my old color and she asked me to wash my hands with water. Did that. Then onto another removal process which went smoothly and on goes the primer(?) and nail color I chose. About 30 minutes later, I was out the door. It was the fastest color change experience I've ever had. It was great. Not only was it fast, she uses layers of polish (which I personally like) and finishes with the shiny layer (at least 2 coats). She used cuticle oil, hot towel, and olive oil lotion at the end. Perfect & quick experience. $20 total (not including tip) $5 more than the nail salon I often go to (which is also a great place but they're always so busy).

She also recommended what I should do so they can be even better next time (bc I did them myself at one point and completely messed them up, so I was extremely happy when she fixed them and made them look great!!) Nails were done my Brian. AMAZING!!!! My hands felt like they were in heaven. Had my nails done here for my wedding too and some nails didn't grow out correctly. He fixed those nails right up to make them look perfect for my big day. My nails looked so natural. That's what I love about him. He does everything to your liking. Plus, my nail polish lasted for weeks without chipping. I was shocked. I dunno if he uses special nail polish or just the way he paints it on so smoothly. Definately check this place out. You won't regret it. :-)
