I mean, you get what you pay for and places like these are so budget that my expectations are pretty low. I go here with my SIL whenever I'm in Clyde because we need a day out. We are usually seen immediately and the friendliness has always depended on the associate. On this specific trip I had a guy that left his manners at home, but overall gave me a nice pedicure. For some reason, she decided to take the cheese grater thing and use it on the side of my big toe. I have skin removed and it feels like a burn when I walk. We had appointments made for 5pm pedicures, did not sit down until 6:30-- yes that's 90 minutes later, we were initially told "40 minutes behind" -- we even went and grabbed quick food and came back to still wait another HOUR. The pedicures were rushed, and although they did a good job, we then we were left to sit for a half hour to dry---no fans as previously experienced and no requested oil & plastic so we could put our shoes on --- asked TWICE for this so we could pay and leave--completely dismissed "with wait 10 minutes " while he was working on the next customer ----Ignored right up until payment. I have come here before, but because of this experience i will not be returning. And yes because they didn't put oil and plastic on, the nails are smudged. I get this is a business and you want to serve as many as you can for the $$$, but this is unacceptable treatment. I will NOT BE BACK. read more

DO NOT GO HERE i would rate this place 0 stars if i knew how. my friend recommended hollywood nails so i tried them out and i will never return. the lady doing my acrylics burnt my cuticles with the drill, used the drill on my actual skin and when i took my hand away yanked it back. she cut me in two places. the actual nails are lumpy, not shaped right and hurt badly. I'd I could give it a negative I would. I went in to get my powder dipped nails removed. They basically pried them off and said it would take to long if I soaked them. Then he clipped me with the drill drum. Told me it was $15 then charged it to $16. So watch your receipts. No tip .. don't feel bad about it at all. Worst ever .. read more

I am from Pennsylvania and was in Sandusky over the weekend. I needed a new set put on. He popped off old acrylic and ended up ripping my nail. The nail became infected and causing edema the whole way up my arm. I have had to see a Dr and OT this week, aling with wear a edema sleeve to compress inflammation My hand swelled twice the size as it is normally. Absolutely awful! read more

RUN! Don't walk in there! The pedicure technician had the personally of a bull frog and the touch of an angry bear. The other technician took impeccable care of my friend. Top notch pedicure. My lady basically slapped the shiitake mushrooms out of me and cut the crap out of my toenails. My gel polish which typically lasts a month fell off that same night! 3 toes. 58$. GREAT. I've gone here a lot for a mani. The ladies I get are usually awesome and give me exactly what I ask for, but 3 times now I've had two different technicians cut my nails when I asked them not to. I had long healthy natural nails. I had asked for a rounded shape so I figured she was going to cut the sides and shape them, no she took off my whole nail below my skin. Worst costumer service ever. I had never gone to a place to get my nails done before. When we arrived we weren't even really greeted the lady simply said "go pick a color." They assumed I knew what was happening and I didn't at all and the lady even got annoyed when seeing she had to remove my old polish. They were not happy with me not choosing an expensive option and kept urging me to spend more even though I am a teenager in high school and felt uncomfortable spending a lot of money on nails. I was never directed where to go when changing stations or going to the sink so I felt very dumb and confused. Overall I felt extremely unwelcome and regretted the thought of even going there. I don't often get manicures and pedicures but this was horrible. The staff seemed nice enough and service was prompt. However, the person who did my nails left all my nail beds red and on the verge of bleeding. It was actually a painful manicure and pedicure. I also found the massage pedicure chair ridiculously uncomfortable. That said, when I left there was a big line. Apparently, others don't feel them to be sadists. The absolute worst! We arrived at the mall on a Saturday evening. My husband needed a manicure because he gets overgrown cuticles that crack, split and bleed. We stood at the counter for a while and put our name on the list. No one acknowledged us or let us know how long it may be. We decided to wait around and hope to be seen at some point. When he was eventually seen, the woman didn't do a very good job... She hurt him, and it was unsanitary. It seemed that the manicurist used tools on him that she had used on the previous customer. She grabbed them from the table where she had just been, and we didn't see her remove them from any kind of clean/sterile packaging. The cloth at his station was wet and dirty from previous customers. I also did not see the manicurist wash or sanitize her hands between her previous customer and my husband. It was disgusting. We should've walked out, but we'd waited so long at that point we just wanted it over with. I hope that he wasn't infected with something there. read more

i went here for the first time today with w friend. when we first walked in, it was busy and no one really greeted us, we stood for about 5 minutes before they asked us to pick a color. so we went and looked but decided we both wanted french tips. i was getting a full set, and my friend just wanted polish, we were told to sit down by a woman across the salon so it was hard to hear and we were confused on what she said, we sat, but in the wrong seat and got yelled at. then, once we were correct, another woman began doing my friends nails, but brought out acrylics, once we pointed out there was a mistake and i that i wanted the set, she was extremely rude. my friend said she wanted polish, and the refused to do it! they kept arguing, try to get her to get something more done. eventually, she moved seats and got them painted. i sat with the original lady, and she was so rude and rough. she also kept talk about the price THE WHOLE TIME. it was uncomfortable, and the people working were very rude and mean. it was an overall bad service experience, however, she did do a somewhat decent job on my set. i would not recommend this place. read more

I would NOT recommend Hollywood nail salon at the Sandusky mall. Arrived about 4:30 pm. One person was working. I came back in a half hour. Numerous women stopped in for fills, pedicures etc.... They were told come back in a hour and s half. Women were stunned and mad! The women working on my acrylic nails was in such a hurry, she was rude and did a terrible job. I had to go to a private salon to get my nail fixed. I will never go back! The next day I called wanting to speak with the manager, she was not there today and they could not tell me when I could reach her. Bad experience! read more
