Went to this nail spa for a quick gel manicure and pedicure. The quality of polishing is absolutely terrible. I could have done better myself at home! When I asked the guy to fix the nail shape and to please polish the entirety of my nail, he got an attitude with me and was not kind about correcting the polish. He shaved off a ton of my nail when filing and then proceeded to tell me, he couldn't shape them because they were too short... I've never had this issue in my entirety of going to nail salon! I would recommend any other place except for this one because I left in tears after trying to explain to this man, exactly what I wanted done in a simple manicure and pedicure! read more

The quality of nail work is very poor. I paid 150.00 dollars for nails and a pedicure and I left the gentleman a 20 dollar tip. I had two nail that broke the next day while making the bed one snapped into the other nail started to crumble so I had to keep filing it down. When I call to have them repaired i had to wait three days to get an appointment. I showed up for my appointment and I was told that I was not on their appointment list.They verified my number on their caller ID but the Lady. I assume that she is the owner replied to me in a very rude manner I cannot do your nails today. I think the materials use are not of good quality. The customer service from the lady is very bad! We pay very good money to be pampered and to feel good! I would not recommend anyone to go to this nail salon! read more

Four of us went in today (8/20/19) for the first time and totally fell in love with this place!! The pedicures were very relaxing and comfortable. The nail tech Hannah was super nice and CLEAN!! I think I just got a artist on a bad day. I asked for French almond shaped nails, my nails ended up looking like bugles chips. While I was getting them done the woman who was doing the nails actually told me she hated doing almond shape and as a paying client I really didn't want to hear that. I ended up accepting the way that they looked because it was taking forever and we had other plans. The staff was very open to talking about other clients. I also was to have a pedicure done but I ended up asking for gel polish only on my toenails and not the massage or other things that come along with pedicure because of how long my nails took and how awkward I felt in there. I don't know if one of the hairs from the nail brush fell out while she was doing my big toe, but there is also a hair stuck inside the gel and it looks and feels very awkward. The mani and pedi chipped within 2 days and I had to fix the nails myself to the shape I actually wanted because I didn't want to come back and be a client they talked about. Overall just wouldn't come back. My friend came with me and had a great experience though and her nails look great! It's a hit or miss, but mine was definitely a miss. read more

I'm not from Sandusky. I travel around the world and I meet so many wonderful energetic people. I needed my nail done and came across this place! First off, it was only 2 nails techs and all the peticure chairs FULL... ? With 2 people, one doing nails and the other feet?? Second, the guy sitting there yells to me, Not hello, welcome, he yells," What you need?" I told him I need a fill in and he said loudly that I would have to pay more for long nail. So since the salon i originally chose couldn't fit me in so i found this salon. I am from chicago so i am used to going to more professional nail artists so i was a little skeptical about this place. I made a 4:00 appointment but i wasn't in the chair until 4:15-20. However the technician who did my full set did an AMAZING job. She was friendly and really took her time with nails and i can tell she enjoys what she does. I believe she said her name was Angela. Whenever im in the area i'll be going to her! (i recommend setting an appointment earlier in the day or if you plan on walking in do in earlier as they were turning people away as it got close to their closing time) read more

Owner is very rude. When they opened they had punch cards that would get you discounts if you filled them, no expiration date listed, they stopped accepting the cards. Mine was full and they wouldn't honor the discount. I called and asked the reasoning after paying and leaving and the owner hung up on me. never in all my 12 year of getting my nails done have I inquired a business that is so rude and unprofessional. had a busy schedule so I had to cancel my apt with my nail tech so I quick ran over to Sandusky oh VIP for a simple fill. 3 hours later they looked short but somewhat decent .. after 5 days tips came off and nails broke way way below the nail line causing my nails to bleed. chipping polish top layer coming off. I called and explained to the owner he said . can't get u in for 3 days! and told me to QUIT BITTING! (I DONT BITE) . SO 3 days had passed and i arrived 15 mins early presented myself told me to take a seat. 4 walkin ins walked in and they immediately got service.. 1 HOUR LATER I ASKED WHEN IT WAS MY TURN. ONLY TO BE LAUGHED AT and called a nail bitter. I sat another half hour the same lady that did my nails and I asked NOT to have took me. painted my nails and said she had NO MORE TIME FOR ME. He over booked his whole day so there were people waiting for an hour when they had made a appt. then he rushed through my appt and was completely rude to me. he had me leave with no top coat and a crappy nail job with my nail polish still wet. I had the gentleman work on my nails. They are lumpy with the acrylic, he did not go to the cuticle line with the acrylic. Less than a week later my nail started lifting and then just popped off!! We paid $120 for nails that are shotty at best! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

I started going to VIP nails last summer. I am only around in the summer, so I've only been there about 4 times. Last summer was nice. Everyone was nice, including the guy, who I guess is the owner. This summer they raised their prices (significantly) I went today & he was fine with me, but SO rude when answering the phone & when people walked in. LOVED the girl who did my toes, she was super nice. The salon is clean, but the guy needs to cheer up LOL read more

My wife said she'd never go again. They were lazy and clearly didn't want to be there. They didn't paint the whole nail. When she asked for a design they said she could do that next time. Someone else was in there and when she finished the pedicure she reminded them she wanted a pedicure and they said it was too late and next time they could do it. Do not go there. read more

I should've known not to come back after the first time I went here. The first time I went here the woman who did my nails pulled all the old ones off It was very painful and took months for them to not be paper thin anymore. The man who did my nails this time was constantly smacking my hand and snapped at me multiple times because there was a wait and it was taking "too long" to finish mine.
