Started visiting this salon a few months ago because of a bad experience with another place that gave me nail fungus on all my nails. When I first went to investigate, Annie (owner), as per my request, she was very thorough in showing me how they disinfect everything. My regular manicurist is Nelly. She is a professional and does a very good job on my nails. One day she was out of the office and I was referred to Maria to do my nails. Equally professional. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! They are disgraceful!!!! If I could give a negative star, I would. The American blonde lady is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! The "owner" who sits towards the front is RUDE!!! They attempted to charge me for a service I never received!! And when I spoke with the owner about what was going on, he repose was "I will train her more". Summary: My friend and I had a reservation and were seen after an hour and twenty minutes. We then experienced very poor customer service, painful manicures and employees that speak poorly about clients to other clients. After a horrible experience they attempted to charge me more than what was posted on their website. Long story: I had suggested the salon to my friend because I have been getting my nails done here for about 4 years now. I have seen the ups and downs but after this most recent experience (really the past 6 months), the current employees have shown me that they do not care about their business anymore. My friend and I had reservations for 5:00 and we walked in about 5 minutes early. I don't know the names of the employees but I assume the woman who initially helped us was the pedicure specialist because the manager had instructed her to just begin the removal process on us and nothing else. We had nexgen (dip nails) on, so that removal process involves a file down of the existing nexgen, then soaking the nails in acetone. After a painful (burning) drill removal, we sat in the acetone for over an hour. One employee took my friend after about an hour and ten minutes. Then I was finally seen over an hour and twenty minutes after our scheduled reservation. I hadn't said anything up to this point because the pedicure specialist employee ran back to the pedicure rooms after she had done our removal and the other two employees (who can do manicures) were busy with other clients. I don't believe in bothering them in the middle of a manicure and interrupting someone else's service just because the manager can't time manage. Once I was seen I requested to just have my old nails removed because I no longer had time to get a new set (I had plans I was late for because of the inconvenience). The manager agreed and she was apologetic yet making excuses as to why we had been waiting so long. "We are so short staffed," "this can happen," and "it's so crazy in here." All that meant to me was "I am unfit to properly time manage this salon." I have a degree in hospitality and management. I understand backups and mistakes can happen. They happen all the time, but it is how you make it right to the customer so you don't lose them. If I had been offered $5 off or a coupon for next time, LITERALLY ANYTHING, they would not have lost me as a customer. But due to their incompetence of customer service and time management, they lost me for good. My fiancé then called me to tell me it would be faster if he came to pick me up from the salon. My nail technician told me she could quickly do my nails in the time it took for him to get there and asked me if I wanted to proceed with a manicure. I accepted. Again, a time commitment was not met and when he arrived I was not finished with my service. Like I mentioned I was already late for plans I had made. I went to pay and the receptionist asked the manager how much to charge me ("you don't have that in the book?" I thought...but then I was thinking I might get a discount for the extremely long wait I had). The manager told the receptionist a price that was $10 more than what is advertised on their website and physical pamphlet. I spoke up about that asking if that was right. To which she seemed to be thinking and said "oh yeah you didn't get tips." The receptionist finally charged me what was listed. I said goodbye to my friend who was finishing up and left. 10 minutes after I left I get a call from my friend telling me how her nail technician was talking poorly about me to her about "how upset I was" and "I should have said something" (I made it a point not to be rude to these women nor annoy them while they were with the customers before me because I know there was no point, it wasn't going to change anything, AND it's not my job to tell employees when their reservations are). She was not only shocked about this, she proceeded to tell me about how many cuts she received during her manicure and that it was uneven. Ultimately, I now realize why all the nail technicians that I have ever liked at this salon left. If the manager treats customers like this I can only imagine what she is like to work for. Save your money. Getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing and fun experience. I was stressed out and in pain during my appointment and mocked and gossiped about after. Bad management, poor class and training of employees but, if you're a walk in...I'm sure they'll squeeze you in even if they know they can't accommodate you. So...there's a positive. read more

I liked my daughter's hair stylist in the beginning but double check pricing before committing..booked through their website for a child's cut for my child (12 under) for $25. When I arrived that's exactly what I said "I have an appointment booked for a child cut." There was nothing mentioned about price or possible differential from their website. My daughter for her cut which was to barely trim but frame the face and add a level of long layers but that's all because her hair was barely medium length if that. The hair dresser asked if I wanted her to blow dry it (shame on me for not asking the price but I assumed that the max would be the equivalent of the child cut, and shouldn't even be that because it wasn't some luxury hair salon). Time to check out and the hair stylist has to call the owner because apparently the prices aren't set (what??) and the owner tells her that the charge should be $80 but she'll give us a deal and charge us $75. I was in shock and questioned the technician how my $25 child cut could end up being that much from adding a blow dry. The owner tried to tell me that the child cut is for 10 and under even though I have screen shots from when I booked my 12 and under daughter who has short hair anyways. It was a back and forth but I finally agreed to pay $55 for a cut and blow dry that I could've done myself (zero offense to the hair dresser, just saying I didn't ask for anything wild and I've done my daughter's hair her whole life with the same style) so definitely check prices before you go there read more

The only reason I give this place 1 star is b/c yelp requires me in order to write the review. This salon has so much potential and the decor is very nice however the owner is extremely rude and a nasty lady. She does not like it when customers talk too much with the nail techs. She also hates when the nail techs take too long to do clients nails especially that the techs are doing a great job and it keeps clients coming back. If you looking for a salon that is inviting this is not the place. The owner should change her attitude with the clients who pay for services done at this salon. I would not nor do I recommend anyone to this salon. I treat people with respect and as a client I should be treated w/ the same respect. read more

Well, i'm going to be 100% honest! this place is a waste of my time. I arrived at 2 PM and I didn't end up leaving at 4:09 PM. I asked for a dip/NEXGEN and the services that they gave me was Gel. Annie was the person that was supposed to be taking care of me, she gave me the worst experience I sat in my chair for a good 25 minutes for her to do other services. I literally had to file my own nails while she was busy with another customer. this is just my honest review I was not satisfied with the service at all. Well to be completely honest this was a waste of my time and money!!! I used to come here when I was younger and it was amazing. I went today to get a pedicure and acrylic full set. The lady that did my services was rushing the whole entire time she cut my fingers about 5 to 6 times she cut my pinky to the point it started to bleed a lot and didn't even say anything. I also showed her a picture of what I wanted and walked out with no designs no polish at all. Also when she was doing my pedicure I got a gel pedicure and she was rushing and made it very uncomfortable to sit through and both my services I was in pain I was not comfortable or relaxed super super mad that I just spent $125 for some thing I could've done at home!!!!!! DON'T GO HERE. I purposely made an appointment for 3 mani/pedis (2 were for kids under 12) that would last 55 minutes. We were 5 minutes late, got a call as we were parking only to rush in and have no one ready for us. They did not have technicians for the 3 of us and they rushed among the 3 of us doing the shoddiest manis and pedis we have ever experienced. They took too long, they hurt my daughters' toes, left paint smudges all over their fingers and toes, and the finish was uneven, thick and on the toes did not even cover the full nail. There was no lesser charge for the children's mani/pedis as in other spas, when they should have been free based on the quality. I had already tipped before I saw the jobs done on the girls. I left frustrated and had to go back in and let them know what a terrible job had been done. I have never done that in my life!! Also, the bathrooms were disgusting, the area was not clean in general. AND as soon as I left the pedi room to get my mani (while my 8 year old was still in there) the technician apparently took her mask off!!! read more

I came here in march, and 1 days later my nails are breaking and then got them fixed and they broke again and they are trying to tell me that because my bail beds or buds whatever are too short thwy will break. My daughter and I had an appointment for 2 o'clock and when we got there Annie was running 2 hours behind. I scheduled them both for 2 so that we can get them done together. We had to wait for over 2 hours for my daughter to get her nails done. This was not the first time that I made an appointment at Hollywood Salon and had to wait because they were taking care of walk-in's. Plus she nicked my daughter quite a few times. Also, Juana did mine and she kept messing up the nexgen on 4 of my nails. She was like I don't know what is wrong why they look like that. It's because she did not put a coat of the clear powder on first. Needless to say we will not be going back to Hollywood Salon!!!! read more

Went for a manicure. Lady cut two of my fingers while trimming my cuticle. One would not stop bleeding and ended up putting a bandaid on the finger to stop the bleeding. I would not recommend this place at all unless you are into that type of thing. read more

Gorgeous salon, very sleek and clean. I went to get a full set of nexgen nails with tips. The woman was super helpful and even mixed yellow and white to create a pale yellow that I was going for. Love love love that, however my nails are square and she made one thumb almond shaped.... as soon as she cut the tip I asked her to redo it because it was so different (and I hate that shape) she told me it would match once she was done so I trusted her. End result? An awful, almond shaped nail that didn't match ANY of the others. I asked if I could come back and have it redone but she refused, she only wanted to shave the other thumb to match. So disappointed. Now I have to look at them during my vacation to Hawaii. read more
