I had to hike to the top of a mountain to get enough service to call Triple H Tow, but it saved my vacation! We were camping at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park when our car died and we couldn't jump it with a portable pack. No cell reception, no AAA, no tow trucks for miles. The closest service was Triple H, so I hiked to get cell service and called. He was super sweet and arranged to come out that afternoon, and he told us to try to enjoy our day around the camp and go for hikes and explore. We took a short hike, lounged by the river for most of the afternoon, and around the time the tow was supposed to come I took a short walk around the campground and when I saw his truck heading in, I turned around and walked back to the campsite. When I got back five minutes later, the car was alive!! (Note to self and fellow Chevy HHR owners, the battery is in the TRUNK!) Triple H Tow completely saved our vacation! Nelson is the real deal when it comes to being professional and a totally decent, kind man! Based on how he treated us today, I believe all the 5 star reviews that get filtered (scroll down and enter the captcha data so you can see them) are true. I think so many get filtered because the reviewers only have 1-5 reviews on Yelp. Obviously they were so impressed and grateful that they "yelped" about it! The hubby and I successfully made it up Hwy 1 without a hitch. Hubby's a mechanic and he saw no indications that our battery would suddenly die right after we checked in to our hotel. The car was dead and we were stuck on a 3-day weekend Sunday around 4 PM. We also have no cell phone and no AAA membership, so we really needed help from someone like Nelson. Due to the great reviews about Nelson on Google, I called him and he came within 30 minutes. He jump started our battery and my mechanic hubby was ready to drive our car to get a battery. Nelson offered at least twice to drive him to get the battery and bring him back, plus he had the ratchets needed to change the battery. I insisted that Hubby take the offer and go with the dependable vehicle and very kind man - Nelson - to get the battery. And that he tip him very well! An hour later, Nelson and Hubby were back with a dependable battery around 6 PM on a Sunday. Battery was installed, and Nelson still wanted a small payment for his time and services. The tip matched what he asked for, and I would have easily tipped him double but he refused our offer to give him more! I had the misfortune of needing tow service today after becoming stranded by a catastrophic breakdown, in a downpour, alongside a busy rural highway, deep in the mud. My insurance-funded tow was dispatched to Triple H, and I was able to track Nelson's arrival through a GPS enabled program on my smart phone. I can't tell you how comforting it was to see the "truck" location moving closer to me, with a real time countdown displayed. Within 30 minutes, help had arrived. Nelson quickly helped me out of the car (which was stuck in thick agriculture mud) and got me situated in the warm truck while he worked to get my car unstuck and loaded on the flatbed. He checked in with me when it took a little longer than he'd hoped (he had to pull it onto concrete so it would stop slipping), and was comforting conversation on the 15 minute ride to my repair shop. He listened as I had a breakdown over the potential cost of my repairs, let me vent about the frightening symptoms the car exhibited that morning, and was genuinely kind and extremely professional. Out of nowhere took a curb the other day just enough where I couldn't get the car off. Was the first one we called and he was here in no time, super friendly, and took great care of us! Let me just start by saying if you are looking for a tow truck stop reading reviews right now and just call Triple H!!! Their service is unbeatable and basically Nelson is the most amazing guy you will ever meet. Extended story...I was on a family vacation driving back from Hearst Castle when one of our tires completely blew out. My fiancé quickly replaced this tire with the spare, and we got back on the road. Not long after this the spare tire was destroyed, and we found ourselves stranded on the side of Highway 1. It was dark, cold, and none of us has cell service. My future sister-in-law and I left my fiancé and his parents in the car and hitchhiked 15 miles to Big Sur just to get cell service so we could call a tow truck. After fighting with AAA for literally over an hour, we just hung up and called Triple H. From the first minutes talking to Nelson I knew this guy was going to save us. He had knowledge of the area so he knew exactly where we were, and he even called CHP for us to make sure they were notified of our location. He showed up in Big Sur lighting fast, we found the car, and he loaded it on the tow truck in record time. Since it was a Saturday night and everything was closed, Nelson towed us up to Carmel, helped us find a hotel to stay at for the night, and even took our car to a local tire place that he knew would be open on Sunday. She finally found Nelson: he was at my house in deep Carmel Valley in 30 minutes flat, and the tow hook up took five minutes. Nelson gets infinity gold stars from us every day forever and ever! My fiance and I had an extremely difficult request and he delivered above and beyond. We recently purchased a 22 feet mobile home and needed a relocation tow. The final destination involved a very technical and steep driveway. Imagine backing a long trailer down a steep hill while simultaneously turning sharply along a curve with inches to spare on either side of you and sometimes losing sight of where the trailer actually is...whew! He came out to our location to scout the area a week ahead of time. He told us that he thought the move was possible but it would be the hardest one he has ever done. That didn't scare Nelson though! He pulled it off and we couldn't be any happier. I am still amazed to this day how skilled he was...just wow! We will be using him again in the future. Nelson is THE BEST, hands down. If you want the long story, read on.. Our brakes went out on an ultra treacherous stretch of winding road in Big Sur, and we thought we were doomed. We had to hitchhike to a restaurant a few miles away in order to use their land line (no service anywhere in Big Sur), and our auto insurance miraculously found Nelson. Somehow, he and his tow truck were there to rescue us in about an hour in a half (which is amazing, considering we were completely isolated out there, and the woman at the restaurant said tow trucks normally take 3-4 hours to show up). When Nelson arrived, I was nervous-- we didn't know where we would have to have the car towed, where we would end up that night, or how we would get everything sorted out. On our 1.5 hour trip back to civilization, Nelson helped us sort everything out. He even helped us find a place to camp in Carmel (the closest mechanic) on a crowded, tourist-populated Saturday night, when every hotel room in town was booked. Let me just start out by saying that I truley think Nelson is an angel. Nelson arrived to change our tire - on hwy 1 at midnite- I had a car full of kids - just coming back to our hotel from Santa Cruz. By truley gods grace my insurance company sent Nelson who changed the flat, and we discovered the car wouldnt start- he gave the battery a jump but told us that he thought it was maybe a fuel filter. He even called to make sure we made it back to our hotel. However the next morning the car wouldnt start-- we called Nelson who after being up all nite on service calls showed up - trouble shooted the problem - discovered we had a leak in the fuel line-- left to the parts store came back fixed it and with a smile told us to have a safe journey-- he wouldnt accept any money.- - all I can think is maybe we were entertaining angels. read more

Brandon was seriously the sweetest guy ever! I was driving up from LA to SF and car started smoking. Called road-side assistance and they came so much faster than I thought and kept me posted along the way. I couldn't tow my car to Salinas because it was July 4th weekend and the Hyundai dealership was closed all weekend so they helped me tow it to Gilroy (Hyundai dealership open on weekend so I could get it checked before Monday) which was a little further. Brandon made sure I was safe in his truck and not standing around close to the freeway for safety reasons, helped me through the whole process of dropping off my car in the Gilroy dealership, helped get all my bags and luggage into his truck, even got the drop box paper for me, and ended up helping me get back to Salinas because there were no rental car place open around the area at night and I had a friend from Monterey who could pick me up in Salinas. Honestly, I had never gotten my car towed or even a car breakdown on me on a freeway so it was pretty scary for me. However, Brandon had a great conversation with me the whole time, made sure I was okay, never left me stranded, and was just so calm that I felt completely comforted during this entire process where I was going to freak out. I was in Monterrey for work and got hit by a car on my motorcycle last June. Triple H just happened to be near the accident. He pulled over, reported the accident, and helped out until the emergency services got there. He was off duty and going home, but he stuck around. Nelson was extremely helpful and went BEYOND his way to help us out in a time of need. My mom and I went for job interview in Monterey CA from Elk Grove (Sacramento) CA. After dropping my mom off at her interview site 2 minutes later the car broke down! I called AAA of which was a HUGE headache and could tell you more about their story if you are interested message back. After 3.25 hours waiting to resolve the issue with AAA, they found Triple H and Nelson came within 15 minutes of the call to our exact location. Asked us if we were okay then asked about the problem with the car to see if he had a quick fix for it to get us on our way instead of the tow. Unfortunately it was a big problem with the suburban so it had to be towed to Sacramento. So he did. He went even went further as a Helpful Human as he dropped us home after reaching our mechanic shop location to drop us Home on his way back to Monterey. Making sure we had our breaks on the road and with lots of great stories to share of which i would love to share with you but i think it is better when you hear it from him directly. I feel like this review is overdue considering the quick and friendly service by Mark at Triple H Tow. I'm from Santa Cruz and I got stuck in a Safeway parking lot in Carmel when my battery died after camping with some friends. I called my parents to get our policy number, and my mom (without me knowing but glad she did) contacted Triple H to see if they took our insurance. Mark told her he was actually in his personal vehicle near that parking lot with his family and that he would come by immediately, which he did. At this time I still didn't know he was coming by (I tried to replace the low key battery before I called someone leaving my phone in the car) but he found my vehicle and offered help right away. It did require a legit jump, so he told me he had to get his work vehicle and that he would be right back, which was also very quick! He jumped my car quickly/efficiently and was super nice. Memorial weekend 2011...I am camping in Big Sur Campground loving the fact that I am out of Orange County/LA area for a beautiful weekend, when my car wont start. As I asked around the campground, it became apparent that the closest automotive service was 26 miles away in Carmel. I figured being 6.5 hrs away, I could be stuck for days, not to mention needing a 2nd job to pay for what was likely coming. But then the campground staff suggested I call Triple H Tow. At 6 pm Saturday evening Nelson at Triple H went out of his way to go purchase a new starter unit in Carmel, drive down first thing Sunday morning, and replace the unit and have me back on the road in 1 hour. I am 54...I've had a lot of cars in my life and I drive a lot period. I have never experienced such professionalism, and even concern for my well being as I did from this business. Highly recommended. Goes WAY beyond the call of duty for their customers. If this is possible, my weekend was actually "made even better" by this experience and even the pleasure of meeting such a great person. There are no word to fully express what a great guy Nelson is! On a trip to the Peninsula to visit my family and friends my car completely died. It happened on the 4th of July (which was also my birthday!) and I was about 100 miles from home. Of course, there were no repair shops open that day and I needed to get home. I decided to have the car towed and was put in-touch with Nelson. Nelson arrived and put my mind at ease, he took the time to check a few things on the car to make sure it was not something that could be fixed easily. Just my luck, that it did indeed need to be towed. Nelson had my car hooked up and ready to go in no time, I reluctantly informed him that we would be going all the way to a small town in the San Joaquin Valley and that it would more than likely reach about 110 degrees before we got there. Nelson was unfazed by that news and we began the long journey. I was so sad that I was spending my birthday this way and on the verge of tears....but only for about 2 seconds. Between Nelson's positive attitude and pleasant conversation I found myself having a great time! After unloading my car Nelson took the time to show my nephew the whole tow truck and what all the controls did. I did finally breakdown in tears but they wear happy tears and brought on by Nelson's kindness and genuine care.
