I was a new business owner and the owner of the company reached out to me on LinkedIn and nicely asked if I needed a CPA. I was happy that somebody had reached out and was pleased with his response as well as the response from the general manager. I own a very small business that does less than $200,000 a year in gross sales. They convinced me that they were not only a CPA but could advise me and help me in growing my small business. Fast forward to when it came time to do taxes, I received very little guidance and very little time with the person preparing my taxes. I was charged an extravagant amount of money to do a very simple tax return for my personal return as well as my business return. Because I was new to the business and wanted to make sure I was doing everything correctly I went ahead and use their services for the first year and it cost me over $1200. Second year comes around and I receive a quote to change my business from LLC to an S Corp. file my taxes and my personal taxes and the bill would be over $5000. For a company that does taxes, and it's supposedly advising small businesses I find it absolutely ridiculous that they would charge me such an astronomical price to do something very simple when they are offering me nothing more than simply filing my taxes. The majority of my emails and questions to the company had gone unanswered, when I did receive an answer it was always accompanied by an offer with a price to do something. This company's interests are only to make money obviously and they are definitely not here to help you grow your business or take advantage of any programs offered for small businesses like they had sold them selves to me. Being in business for two years now I have found someone else to prepare my taxes and I've had all my business taxes and personal taxes filed for less than $800. This company will sell you a big dream, and then take you for a giant expensive ride. When I disclosed my discontent with the pricing all I was told was that their business minimum is $2500 and best of luck. Run, don't walk away from this firm. Price Gouging at its finest. Understandably being in California things tend to be expensive but this is an absolute joke. read more

So disappointed. They told me they filed my S Corp election in January, I called IRS, they never received anything. Then again, the firm said they refiled in March, I called IRS 3 months later, still nothing. Asked them to give me proof of filing, so I can send it to IRS, never received a response. Now I'm stuck in the middle, trying to explain to IRS why it hasn't been filed yet and have to hire a new CPA to fix this mess, so I don't end up paying a huge tax bill this year. It took a long time to get work completed (Start of August - last week of October). The report was emailed on my court hearing date, and we needed it prior to that date (and this was clearly communicated). Since the report was not ready, we had to appear in court to request a continuance for the hearing. Unfortunately, this led to additional legal fees. Also, once the report was completed, the firm did not respond to my (multiple) inquiries in a timely manner. I was told this was because the CPA who had worked on my file was no longer working with the firm and my email was discovered later in an inbox. Thus, it appears the answers to my questions were not completed by the individual who completed the report. Furthermore, I was told that another engagement (meaning more money) would be necessary to address the issues I had with the report. Overall, I did not have a good experience. I should have known something was wrong, as when I first contacted the firm I was told (in writing) they did not handle forensic accounting for divorce cases. However, when my soon-to-be-ex contacted them with the same inquiry, he was told otherwise. Unfortunately, even though I was hesitant (as they told me they do not handle forensic accounting for divorce cases), he insisted on retaining their services. read more

When I called for questions or concerns there were times when I did not get a call back for days and after several attempts and finally speaking with someone they were more concerned on selling me other services that they provide rather than finishing what I hired them for.
