Well apparently my Economic payment the 2nd one is sitting in Ameritax Bank or they put it in someone else account...not good!!! Got a phone call from Treasury Department inquiring about services their. I've had no problems until NOW IRS states a deposit was made 2/3/2021 never received it called several times no one responded. Then I was told by Ameritax IT'S FRAUD yeah on which end???? My husband and I had gone to an accountant to do our taxes this year. We went in with high hopes of getting money back. I went here just because it was close to my house. I filled out this form and the girl looks at it says "I can't claim my girlfriend as a dependent I can only claim kids." Well I knew she was wrong because as long as my girlfriend meets the I.R.S. definition for a qualifying relative I CAN claim her as a dependent which I did at the tax guy directly across the street from her. I was going to tell her she was mistaken, but then I thought if she is making mistakes on something as basic as who I can claim as a dependent maybe I don't want her doing my taxes. As a side note the difference between claiming 0 and 1 dependent would have cost me over $650 ouch. read more
