We had a great time on our kayak trip. It took us about 2 1/2 hours and that was without spending time at the spring and booking it for the last half our when were caught on the river in a storm. My only complaint is things should be marked. We found the off shoot to the spring (we think) but as there were no signs, I'm not sure. If so, we didn't paddle in far enough - again, signs would be helpful. Also, when we got caught in the storm, signs every half mile or telling the distance to the exit point would have been helpful to us in deciding if we should pull off to the side and wait it out or keep on going. You can't start out after 12:30, which we found out the hard way after getting there at 1:00 and being turned away, just to have to come back the next day. read more

I went here with my boyfriend on the way to panama beach and this was the best stop ever. We rented a canoe and it was one of the best experiences. It was so peaceful and fun. We both enjoyed the clear water and river entirely. Also the mini water park they had was SO MUCH FUN. It looks small but we had a blast. We wanted to stay there all day but had to keep moving. WOW!!!! This place is insanely gorgeous. When you arrive, you will pay and sign waivers and then wait for your van to carry you canoes, paddle boards or kayaks upstream. It's not a very long way to the actual spring from the launch site and the directions are clearly displayed on the trees. The spring was pretty crowded but there was still plenty of room for everyone. I'm still speechless at how amazing (and COLD) the water is. There is a rope swing for the daredevils. (If this 35 year old can do it, you can too) The trip back to the launch is a bit long, especially if you've spent most of your day at the springs and now you're trying to get back to the launch by 5:30. The canoes cost $40 (so $20 per person) We will DEFINITELY be back. read more

The lady behind the table looked at me like I was stupid when she said they sell out super early. Told me good luck next time. Didn't seem friendly at all and could really care less that we had questions. This turned out to be one of the best things we did on our vacation this year. The rental equipment was in very good shape, the staff was friendly and the entire paddle was beautiful. The spring was way more than expected. I highly recommend checking this place out. It requires basically zero paddling experience. It took us about three hours to complete but you could stretch it out much longer if you were so inclined. The creek is very clear and very clean. read more

This was an awesome place for adventure on the water. This is a hidden gem and would of given 5 star but the van that we road if felt like I was in a 3rd world country. The trip down the water was awesome and relaxing if you remove then boat noise. The springs were beautiful but a little crowded. I would advise earlier the better and be aware of the recreational drug use as it was one thing that made us leave and not stay and enjoy. read more

We called the number listed for the business several times to secure reservations as suggested on their website before traveling an hour to their location. We read that the rentals sell out quickly and to try to be there at opening. The number went to voicemail every time, the mailbox was full every time, we even used the "contact us" feature on their website four days ahead of the date that we wanted to visit. No response with that method either. They must not be hurting for business or maybe be permanently closed. Who knows. read more

The experience was great overall and we were happy we created the memory! Expect: You launch conveniently at your spot of arrival without much fuss. Cash only. Reservations fall-spring required. No pets. The clear springs are all at the first part of the trip and are located off the creek with little notice. Hint: read the sign well before you leave regarding springs locations, there are 4. The creek itself is not perfectly clear, yet clean. The majority of the trip (2/3rds) is after the springs and long, yet peaceful; scenery was beautiful. The location is down a longish dirt road. The van ride back left a lot to be desired, yet punctual and efficient. Nothing educational about the springs provided. Tip: after your trip which is about 3+ hours if you paddle a bit of the way vs float and you spend little time swimming at the springs... you can also drive to the swimming holes directly. I enjoyed the double kayak having grown up in the area using canoes. Was just as or more stable. Legs relax in front of you, slightly bent. Less room for stuff. Suggest you picnic in parking lot before trip and take water down the river. Although we don't drink there is one area along the way you can drink your packed in adult beverages. We took a Bluetooth speaker for music and were fine; unless you plan on it... you shouldn't tip the kayak. We really enjoyed! Would do again and plan more time at the springs. Wear your sunscreen and bug spray! Not many mosquitoes in April but could be later in spring and summer. Even a cloudy day did fry a pale couple like us. Bring change of clothes for long ride home. read more

This is a warning to any who attempt to use this service. Look at low rated reviews. Apparently, these folks direct guests to camp on county land. Then the campers get fined for so doing. LARGE FINES. It smells like a kickback situation or at least poor facility mgt AND very poor conduct by the county or public officers. I am a local and will warn folks away from such. Let's ALL appreciate our guests and out of town visitors not treat them poorly and unfair. It is THE RIGHT THING TO DO. read more

Also the bottom of our kayak was the one that allowed water to flow in and out. We would have brought a dry bag, but that's not a huge deal. We will definitely return! read more

My family and I like to vacation down in Florida often and we thought it'd be nice to try something new away from the beach. We decided to choose this canoe livery - which turned out to be a very poor decision. We wanted to kayak for the day, they dropped us off, gave us little to no directions other than "go straight, stay on the right" when there were multiple spots where you could go left or right. When we were asking questions concerning our safety the lady who we were talking to was very snobby and rude, and very impatient. You could tell she just wanted money. On top of all that, they gave us a broken kayak with a hole in the bottom, which kept filling up with water, causing it to tip or sink, ultimately ruining the trip for that couple. We had to end up pushing/pulling it until a staff member with a boat came and picked us up, he was the only friendly staff who gave us good service, along with 3 other men. The lady absolutely refused to give us a refund, a $40 refund, for a broken kayak which ruined the trip. The staff member who helped take us and the kayak back to the place even said they had 3 broken kayaks, one which we had been given, and he sat there draining it for us so we could take it back. Still no refund, even though we were told that they had BROKEN kayaks that they still give out. The worst business I have ever done in my life, my family and I will not be going back, and I recommend that you find another rental place if you're looking to go down this creek and to the springs, there's much better ones. read more

Great place to bring a group of friends on a Saturday or Sunday. My buddies and I went a few weekends back and rented several paddle boards and canoes. Very fun/relaxing day on the creek. They also have a giant rope swing at base camp which we spent the last 30-45 minutes of our day messing around on. I ended up losing an item in the creek, which they found and mailed back to me. Can't ask for much better customer service than that! Would highly recommend to anyone who likes being outdoors. read more

Have been there many times before but WILL NOT GO BACK!!!! After I saw how she handled her customers today. Young couple with kids flipped over (which happens).She never even asked if their kids were ok. All she was concerned about was a $15 oar! Another man gave her $60 so she felt compensated and she still hasn't asked if everyone was ok. Not the type of person I want to do business with. read more
