Wow! That is pretty much all I can say... First of all entering Marcus's healing room is one of the most magical experiences ever, it seems like he has nearly a thousand crystals in there. I really liked how professional the appointment started and he went over the main concerns that I wanted to work on and then signing a consent form. The day I made the decision to call to make an appointment at Reiki for Inner peace. I felt sure that Marcus Sapere would align my chakras and I also felt sure that he would help me with my physical and emotional problem, I had somatized the feeling of being abandoned in a strong and constant pain in my abdomen. After years of hearing about the healing power or Reiki, I decided to finally give it a try. Between the stresses of work, some chronic injuries, and general "brain fog", I figured now would be as good a time as any to give it a go. Before I delve into my experience with the session, first - let me tell you about his office! Marcus has an amazing collection of rocks and curios which, combined with the soft lighting, rich aromas, soothing music, and the historic building, create an amazing sense of depth and universality. Before we began, Marcus and I sat down to discuss what I wanted from the session. This allowed me to get in the right frame of mind for what I consider to be something like a psychic journey! As for the session, it's a little difficult to describe the experience. Basically you lay on the table (I closed my eyes) and relax. It only felt like 10 minutes or so, but in that time I felt like I went on a mental journey - allowed myself to step back from the day-today world, and put the universe in perspective. I have not had experience with Reiki prior to my session with Marcus. Going into it, I was not attached to any particular outcome, hoping, however, to find some emotional release from a long childhood trauma, that has been a heavy sad elephant in my room for at least fifteen years. I recently saw Marcus for grief work. I lost my husband, mother and several friends in rapid succession several years ago and didn't do any grief work at the time resulting in a very unhappy result. Me and my husband went in for a reiki session. It was amazing. It really did not seem as long as it was. I feel much more calm and collected after it. I met Marcus a little over a few weeks ago. He is my second reiki healer who I had the privilege to have met. The atmosphere was very clean and full of interesting yet beautiful crystals. In the beginning of the session Marcus asked what I would like to work on and we did a brief history intake. The healing table he uses is very state of the art. It has music (singing bowls) that somehow are connected to the reiki healing table. There are different frequencies that I was probably not able to hear but my body could feel. There are no fancy bells or whistles but when he did the hand placement starting from my shoulders to my third eye and then to the rest of the seven chakras I was able to feel a coolness flow through my body. One of the issues I have battled with is pain down from my neck to my left arm and as I was laying down my left arm jerked outward from the side of my body on its own. As if the reiki energy was doing something to it for sure. I don't know much about reiki and how it works but I am a firm believer of its healing power. We also worked on past emotions that I did not realize I still carried with me (my brother and sister both passed away) when he asked me to find the grief within myself I was immediately overwhelmed by intense emotion and sadness. I truly felt the release leave my body as we worked on that. I felt a sense of intense sadness followed by a sense of calmness and relief. In November 2015, when I learned I was suffering from spinal stenosis and would need neck surgery (cervical laminectomy for c5 and c6 and fusion from c3-c7), I was a little freaked out to say the least. A good friend of mine suggested we try Reiki before the surgery as a way to prepare for the physical trauma and perhaps support the post op healing. We saw Marcus 2 days before the surgery which I'm sure alleviated any anxiety I might have experienced. I was pretty calm before the surgery, which was very successful. The recovery, however was much more difficult than I was prepared for. I've seen Marcus over the years for many things. I used to have chronic lower back pain and he eliminated it. A few years ago I had a painful grape sized lump on my left breast.Marcus was able to eliminate the pain in 30 minutes so I could continue to work and then the lump shrank and disappeared over the next 3 weeks after my session with him. I used to lose my balance and fall regularly. It was becoming frightening. I fell backward off of someone's back porch into their yard. I tripped on the stairs at someone's home and fell. I was already struggling with health issues when my mom died unexpectedly in 2010. Her death and the events surrounding it were so traumatic that I basically "broke." My doctors could find nothing; the meds they gave me were ineffective and created even more problems. I had been diagnosed by a sports medicine physician with calcific tendonitis. I had extreme pain and a frozen shoulder; I could not lift my arm forward or to the side more than 6 inches. The pain radiated down my arm into my fingers. In the x-ray, there were massive amounts of calcium deposits on the tendon in my shoulder (to the point of the doctor saying he had never seen anything quite like it). He gave me a cortisone shot and said come back in 3 weeks. When I wasn't feeling any better, two days later, I called Marcus. With an in person treatment and subsequent remote treatments that night and the next day, I had nearly full movement and dramatically reduced pain two days later. This "miraculous recovery" could have been because of a combination of a multitude of things I was doing, including Epsom Salt soaks, reduced calcium intake, chelated magnesium, visualizations and the cortisone, but I found it particularly interesting that I felt so much better so quickly after seeing Marcus for a Reiki session.
