I hate coming into this Holt Renfrew location - everything is so cramped and it's always so crowded. The sales staff are snooty simply "because it's Holt's" - but honestly, your store is under the mall's food court - there is no need to be pretentious and snooty. The makeup counters are always crowded, and on a busy weekend you'll probably have to wait to be served - if they bother to look your way. I save myself the grief and go to Sephora if they have the brand that I'm after. The designer accessories are plopped (and chained) onto the shelves and you have to hunt around for someone if you want something and then put up with their fake attempt to be genuinely interested in you. Since this is a smaller store their selection is somewhat limited. Their shoe corner has a pitiful selection of Louboutin, Prada, Dior and Jimmy Choo's - but if you are really looking for shoes either head over to David's in the mall or go down to Holt's on Bloor St. The only reason I'm restraining myself from giving this store location 1 star is "because it's Holt's" - and you'd be hard-pressed to find these designer brands elsewhere in Toronto since many have exclusive distribution contracts with Holt Renfrew.

So if you don't mind having money drained from your wallet and you have an expensive taste then you'll definitely enjoy Holt Renfrew. I'm totally guilty of this. With three locations, one being downtown at Yonge and Bloor, another at Sherway Garden and this location in Yorkdale Mall, gives a variety of locations to choose from. Being located in one of the biggest malls in Toronto, you get to have other reasons to pay a visit to this store. The store consist of booths and boutique stores that will give a great focus on specific product lines. Having boutique stores such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada etc, will allow each store to display their very own look and brands the way they want to. Holt's main focus is to sell only and nothing but independent and high end brands from all over the world. With valet parking and greeters, makes the store experience must more special as they would treat you with great honour. The staff is super nice and their service is super great. Every so often you'll catch a sale event that will give you crazy deals such as 70% off and hourly specials from specific boutique brands. if you can get to these, be ready for some fighting and shoving. With pricing being sky-rocketed, any sale that you can grab, take it. If hungry or thirsty during shopping then hit up the Holt Cafe for some grub. it's pricy but the food is more gourmet rather then the typical fast food. The bloor location is an actual restaurant but the Yorkdale location is more pre-made food. I would honestly just go to the mall and get your food from there if you're join to spend that much on food that you can get cheaper else where. Nevertheless, you'll only need to go there to buy rare things unless you have a very serious problem and buy purses/shoes as much as you do with candy and coffee. But if you do want something fancy, pricey and elegant, then come here.

Doesn't take NASA engineer to figure out there must be scratch-off code. Why doesn't HR have it? Cuz it costs HR money. Risk for customers!

Today I got a phone call from HR, and they confirmed that I could return the shoes, but only refund for store credit. No that bad.

Selections of goods can't complain, but these sales persons...I mean, they judge you.

The other side of the wall had streetwear. There were a few stakeboards near the front but I wasn't sure if they were for sale. It turns out the target audience is mainly teenagers. Well this store is not for me. Out I go! But not before I get some info and photos for a review. I am a reviewer after all and I can't waste a store visit! The staff member was courteous and helpful. Prices are reasonable. There are so very many sneakers on display! There is even a game machine similar to those where you try to grab a plushie with a claw. In this version, you try to move a big key into a keyhole to receive a sneaker as a prize! This location opened on 2022-10-15. They have a second location in Vaughan. Review 2023-076

She was also helpful with a question I had and helped me even though I didn't expect it to happen. Ordered a bag from TeKoop since they're one of the few stores (that I'm aware of) that sells Anello bags that has a relatively easy location to get to. This is helpful when you want to see the actual product vs having to potentially deal with the hassle of returning the item. I pass by, and sometimes visit, their store whenever I'm in the area. As for the bag, I bought an Anello Alton backpack. Quality is really good and it's new. I was worried that it could be counterfeit or could be used (I see lots of videos online about this issue). Overall I recommend this store for your bag needs. They've gaied a repeat customer for their personal touch and I'll be sure to support this local business for future bag purchases, either for me or for more gifts.

The staff was great. The group of guys who worked that day were all friendly and engaging. They were pushy and very helpful. We found a highly-reviewed jeweler in a favourable location, however, it turned out to be a rather sketchy endeavour. I didn't feel comfortable giving them our business, so we jumped back on Google and found World Jewellery. World Jewellery is conveniently situated downtown, near Queen and Church. Co-owner, Floriss, and her colleague, Eddie, quickly assessed our situation with warmth and professionalism. They cleaned my ring, and we waited a short time (about 20 minutes - while kindly being offered cookies in the interim!) for the diamond-in-question to be replaced. My ring looks even better now than it did before! The fee for their service was totally reasonable, especially considering their unbelievably speedy turnaround. My fiancé and I are extremely impressed, and will happily recommend World Jewellery to others! We will definitely return if my ring needs any other repairs (or cleaning) in the future. :) Thank you, Floriss and Eddie!

Separated by a mere friendly walkway is the 10-year old "The Souvenir Market" and the St. Lawrence Smoke & Gift Shop (SLS&GS), an establishment that's a little more long-in-the-tooth being around since 1976. I mean, every day, "The Souvenir Market" gets to look over at SLS&GS, emblazoned with an old-timey sign and a newer addition stating they are the "First Gift Store in the Market!" Take THAT across-the-street usurpers! Who wins the war? Well, by number of customers, neither is doing too shabby. For me, and my desire for maximum eclecticism, St. Lawrence wins by a nose. But I love maple-based treats and things with poop emojis on them ... and SLS&GS has both in abundance ... so, if you're more snooty with your gifting needs, "The Souvenir Market" may be more your speed. My one purchase recommend: "Canadian Maple Crap in a Bag" for $5. It's actually some pretty awesome macaroons. It is one of many treats SLS&GS has with that sweet, silky maple syrup flavor. You'll also find all the usual suspects for tourists: T-shirts, mugs, hats, cards, toys, stuffed animals, baby clothes, gloves, socks, clocks, napkins, water bottles, shot glasses, bags, stickers, pencils, sunglasses, snow globes, tea towels, and about a million other things with "Canada" or "Toronto" or "Ontario" on them. There are two particular areas, IMHO, SLS&GS sets themselves apart from their cross-walkway rivals. SLS&GS has a stronger collection of CN Towers, as well as local sports team stuff (Raptors, Blue Jays, and Maple Leafs). And, being a Smoke Shop and all, they do have smokes. And newspapers. And Panama hats. And drinks and snacks. And just about anything else you could imagine. Tourist or local, there's something for everyone at the St. Lawrence Smoke and Gift Shop!
