Know they were working on an 80 foot tall pine tree that was between 2 houses and power lines running throw the branches. I had a couple of local companies refuse the work. Anyway if and when I need more tree work done, I will be calling these guys.

On the day of my original review post, I received a call from Mark. He hadn't seen my review, he was calling to follow up, asking if I've had my trees removed yet. we talked a bit with my explaining that we were still waiting for the updated/correct draft/estimate of the full work we wanted done. He said he'd come by, look at my property again and work on getting the estimate completed (I was hopeful); however, shortly after my conversation with Mark (same day), Karen called me, told me she read my review and didn't like it (imagine that) and asked what could be done to get it removed. There was no apology, nor any suggestions or offers on how to correct things! I told her we'd have to wait and see what Mark comes up with. a week later, on July 22, Mark calls me to say that he's come up with a plan that he thinks covers everything I wanted and will have it sent to me...still nothing, so I called Mark on July 28, left a voicemail asking about status. Here it is August 10th (2 months since initial visit) and all we have seen is the company doing work on a neighbor's home, the past week.

It's now late in the season, and I'm scrambling to find other companies that still have wood. Weeks of wasted time and effort. Completely unreliable and dishonest. Arriving with an impressive array of equipment and vehicles, BT&L's owner, Tim, listened to what we needed done for our project, and then he and his crew went to work quickly removing two trees, as well as trimming a few large pine tree branches. They did all this without disturbing any nearby plantings, or leaving any debris behind in our yard. We couldn't be happier with the job Tim and his crew did for us. We've used several tree service contractors in the past, and we were satisfied with all of them, but Bradley Tree & Landscape definitely stands out in terms of providing top-notch service. I would have given them 5 stars, but one thing disturbs me. Their estimate included a $0 item for "Parking Permit Fees TBD by your city requirements." The final bill listed this item as $250, which was over 25% of the total bill. When I called to ask why they didn't include that number on the estimate, since surely they had previously done work in my city and knew about the cost of the necessary parking permit fees, the customer service representative was very argumentative, but admitted that they knew in advance that the fees would be $250 at a minimum. It seems deceptive to leave this known minimum cost off the written estimate. I was dismayed by the combative response to my questioning of this approach, and to my suggestion that customers would be better served by including this information in the written estimate. I was further disappointed that the owner did not reach out to me following that unpleasant phone conversation. Addendum: I left a voice message for Ryan after his written Yelp response to my above post, and he quickly called me back. I was impressed that Ryan spent a fair bit of time with me on the phone on a Sunday to further explain and apologize for the situation, and he offered that they would be rethinking their approach to the parking permit fee issue on their written estimates in the immediate future, which I think is a positive outcome.
