The ladies she HAD (past tense) working there only spoke to me in Spanish (not offended I speak Spanish but I found it odd that even though I was using English they didn't seem to understand me). I was desperate for a new counselor that could truly help my daughter since her previous amazing counselor stopped practicing after her first child. My daughter suffers from anxiety & ocd symptoms. I didn't want to just see the negative so I didn't judge a book by its cover since Mary Roland (at this point I don't even know if she's a doctor or what) seemed nice. She went to a few appointments (again not letting the fact that she overbooks her schedule and takes sometimes over an hour to see you) but I can't say that I was ever impressed. My daughter seemed to like the few group therapy sessions she had with other teen girls on Saturdays. We didn't care that it was 50 min from home, as long as someone could help her, that's what mattered. It seemed whenever I called for appointments (since she seemed to no longer have staff) nobody would answer to the point that I wondered if she truly had an office phone or just her personal cell since she would text me about appts herself with appt questions which providers do not do that at all. Never felt true counseling just her listening. As opposed to the previous provider she saw at Children's that gave her true therapy techniques to help decrease anxiety. The more she saw Mary the shorter the appts got. The final straw was a few weeks ago. I reached out to Mary Roland & she very nicely stated she could see her same day at 1pm. There on time and at 1pm she called back another patient, I'm assuming she double booked. My daughter gets seen shortly after for no more that 10 min if that! I'm bothered and talk to her. I ask her what happened to 45 min - 1 hour therapy appts? She stated my daughter doesn't like to open up (no duh that's why I'm having issues with her overall behavior) and she can't force her. Basically even though I had explained to Mary Roland when scheduling the reason to why I wanted her to come in already, my daughter walks in sits down asks her what happened yesterday. My daughter explained. She told her, "okay well you have control of this. You just think you don't, but you do. I would be worried if you do this for months. I'll look into it." Then told her "I'll talk to you mom" & THAT WAS IT! What a joke of a clinic. I don't need someone to be just nice, I need someone that knows and is educated in her field to know how to address true issues. These things are important, these things matter. Do not waste your time. All she wants is just bill the insurance. Fraudulent clinic should get investigated!!!!
