We are early diners and the only couple near us were also Americans on holiday. Our server spoke excellent English and guided us through the menu choices. After an appetizer of tomatoes and cucumbers in a light dressing, I ordered the sirloin in cream and my wife the trout filet. The food, like the service, was superb. Our server surprised us with a complimentary "shot" of a very strong Czeck liqueur at the end of the meal. we had a grand time and hope you will too!!

It was a pleasant walk from the Hilton Atrium Hotel, and the weather was beautiful. We arrived and were immediately seated and brought menus. The decor is nothing special, and it spoke to a nice Czech restaurant vibe. Our server was very good, promptly returning to get our drink order (I had a glass of Chardonnay and we both had waters). We were not super hungry, so we bypassed the appetizer and salad selections and went straight for the entree menu. My wife chose the Goulash and I selected the Grilled Chicken Breast. Our meals arrived shortly, and they were both hot. My wife loved the Goulash, which was accompanied by two large potato dumpling pieces. The gravy was thick and flavorful and the meat was fork-tender and delicious. My Chicken was a bit tough, but had pretty good flavor with the sauce. It was also served with a side of Gnocchi, that paired nicely with the dish. The advertised cauliflower and peas were a bit sparse, but the Gnocchi made up for it. Service was very good, with our water glasses refilled frequently and servers asking if everything was good. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, though the Chicken could have been a bit more tender. If we get back to Prague, we would definitely like to come back and try one of the Duck dishes as well as the goose liver pate' appetizer. Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 9/10 Value - 10/10

How can you not try a place with a name like that? Saw the bras hanging as we walked in, made me chuckle. We were seated right away, in a small room with a fair amount going on. I picked the Jim Morrison along with the fries and lovely K had the Janis Joplin, also with fries. Both choices were a very good sized portion with a good amount of fries. The JM stated it's spicy, and it was indeed so. The JJ is also a good sized portion, but it had too much going on for K. What really let the meal down was the fries. They were not hot, and had been cooked too long. The outside was crispy with a good crunch, but the interior was not what we were looking for. Could have been epic with nice fries, but they missed the mark by just a bit.

Thank god this place was located steps across from our hostel (Hostel Dakura) because it served as a very fulling and appropriate meal for our first one in Prague. This place is your typical Czech beer pub with endless supply of Pilsner Urquell beer and traditional Czech cuisine. I ordered the goulash, which was super delicious!! The beef is tender and flavorful, while the bread dumplings were light and fluffy. The portions here are huge (my friend's dish literally came with a BOWL of pickles on the side--that alone can keep me stuffed for hours), and the prices are super affordable. Service is efficient and friendly and waiters can speak English.   What I love most about this place is that you really get a feel for the Czech culture. This place is located 2 train stops away from the city center--so tourists here are limited and are frequented mostly by locals.  I loved sitting amongst locals as they were chatting away, happily drinking their beers, and enjoying one another's company. It gave me a snapshot of the relaxed and easy going way of life around here. Glad I got a taste of it here :)
