Thought this was going to be a total tourist trap given it's at the bottom of Prague castle but it turned out to be decent. The schnitzel and goulash we had were tasty. The mixed salad had ample amount of fresh vegetables. Great place to grab a quick lunch as service was good and food came up shortly after the order.

Mekan çok güzel. Soğuk Prag sokaklarında hem sigara içip hem de sıcak ısıtıcı altında oturmak için çok güzel bir yer.

great service! the staff is quick and friendly. we ordered duck pate, pork knuckle, and the chicken dish, as well as different juices. everything tasted and great and the flavors were perfect. the place also has a great design and look to it, with murals all over the area close to the entrance. This section has a more casual feel to it.. but if you go to the section closest to the kitchen.. that area has a more upscale look to it. def recommend.

OMG - U Mecenáše is an amazing restaurant.. and if you are reading this review, rest assured you won't be disappointed! It. Was. To. Die. For! After spending 12 days in Prague, I will confidently say this was the best meal I had the entire time! I was walking from Prague Castle to the Charles Bridge, and just happened to stop in for lunch. It's very easy to pass by, so it wasn't very busy when we were there (Saturday around 11:30a) I ordered the Roasted Chicken Breast with Roasted Potatoes & Veggies.. The chicken was moist & succulent. The Potatoes & Veggies had amazing flavor, and complimented the Chicken perfectly. This will definitely be a place I return when I'm back in Prague.. Simply Amazing!

Pork, Duck and everything in between, juicy crispy and hit all the right spots!

I think of all the Czech restaurants I've been to this is probably the tastiest. It had delish pork, beef goulash and great goat cheese salad. Had both outdoor and indoor dining. Great views of the city and Letia was such an attentive and wonderful server. We asked for outdoor seating, there weren't any. So they momentarily placed us indoors then transferred to us outdoors. Just as a heads up, unlike most European countries, tips are somewhat expected in Prague!

Our bus tour took us here for an included meal and it was phenomenal. I ordered the goulash, which was absolutely fantastic. The gravy was delicious and the beef was perfectly cooked.

Restaurace U Mecenase was highly recommended on Trip Advisor while I was scouting places on the West side of the river in Prague. It just so happens that U Mecenase was on our City of Prague scavenger hunt route so we stopped by for lunch. Great service, kid friendly options, exceptional beer on tap, and a great menu. We stuck to beef, having the goulash and a braised beef chunk, both were exceptionally delicious and paired nicely with the complimentary toasted, rye bread. I fully recommend U Mecenase for Prague visitors.

Located at the end of Charlie's bridge and close to the Castle, great Czech food. The restaurant has few hundred history with very special and nice interior decor. The staff are all very warm and friendly. I like the food, atmosphere, staff, location, and everything here. Highly recommend!

I loved this place! It has a very good atmosphere with paintings on the walls and ancient ceilings. Definitely makes it feel like you are teleported to many years back. The customer service was so nice! I got the wine, amazing, along with the sausage appetizer and apple strudel dessert. Everything was so good. Overall 1000% recommend anyone visiting! Will be coming back :)

We ordered the beef cheeks, which were served cold (likely as intended but not what I was expecting). Flavor was fine but not great. The burger was also just okay. For something so standard, it was passable but not likely to order again. Our favorite dishes were 1) the duck and 2) potato and vegetable patties. Duck was crispy, hot, and had pretty good flavor! The vegetable patties were also crispy and balanced, slightly sweet. The beer list was limited but we liked what we ordered. Hate to be a broken record but we've had better while in the city. Wouldn't recommend this place to a friend since it was just average.

After trying some relatively disappointing pork knuckles, I decided to take a chance on Pork's. We went after visiting the Prague Castle around 3 PM. Having walked past it a few times, there was always a line, and I was hoping eating between meal times would help. While it was shorter, there was still a line, but it moved quickly. When we got into the restaurant, I immediately noticed how smoothly everything operated. The restaurant was quite large. Much bigger than I anticipated. The second we sat down, a server approached us to ask if we knew what we wanted. It was clear that their main goal was to rotate people out of the restaurant as fast as possible. I knew I wanted the pork knuckle, but I wish we had a bit more time to look through everything, including the drinks. I ordered the pork knuckle first and planned to get a drink when the server came back. Before I knew it, the dish was on our table. With the small menu and constant turnaround, it wasn't surprising that the food was already prepared and only needed to be plated and sent to our table. It took about three minutes total. The skin was extremely crisp, so much so that it was hard to cut through at points, but the knives provided were nice and sharp. The first bite I had was extraordinary. The meat inside was still juicy and tender despite not being made to order. It was so soft and contrasted perfectly with the crispy and oily skin. It was very rich, but was nicely balanced by the necessary mustard that came with it. As I continued eating, I found that the whole knuckle wasn't perfectly consistent, with some bites being slightly dry. However, this didn't take away from the overall experience and the high highs that the dish achieved. If anything, there needed to be a little more mustard just to have enough for each bite of meat. The pork knuckle here was the best I had during my time in Prague. Pork's is all about putting food on the table and cycling guests in and out of their restaurant, which I respected. They aren't trying to blow customers away with outstanding service, which is still friendly, but is very limited in interactions to keep things quick. The food alone carries the restaurant to a high mark that makes up for any shortcomings in the service experience. Pork's is an easy restaurant to recommend in Prague as a great place to try a delicious pork knuckle and more.

The place was packed upon entrance so it may benefit to schedule a reservation for a larger party. As I was by my lonesome, I sat down at a table and began to take in the atmosphere. The hall was breathing with life of people enjoying drinks and chatting, so don't expect a quiet dining experience. My waitress recommended I try the sausage variety as an appetizer so I gave it a go. The food came out after about five minutes. I could be intoxicated by the delight of visiting Europe but the sausages were so delicious and fresh. The mustard and horseradish which accompanied the dish were delicious and complimented the protein so well. For the main dish, my waitress also recommended the Chicken and Rice. The food followed my appetizer about five minutes after. Upon first sight, the portions and composition of the plate spoke to me in a commanding yet soft whisper. The chicken was so tender that it melted off the bone. The rice was so dense yet fluffy. Each bite combination sprinkled with the gravy made for a euphoric taste in each chew. In other words, the food was incredible. This restaurant provided to perfect opportunity to try out traditional Czech food without leaving a hole in you wallet. The pricing, the vibes, and the seemingly unlimited beer made for an authentic experience. It is definitely worth a visit here, or at any of the Lokál chains if you find yourself in Prague.
