The historic site also includes the original rectory, new rectory, and the original cemetery also from 1841. We arrived a few minutes before a lovely sunset and captured some amazing pictures. The church architecture is happily or was happily preserved from the ravages of post modernism. Therefore it still retained the form and beauty of a proper place of worship where the human senses are brought in alignment with contemplation of the Creator. This effect cannot and will never be achieved using current architectural designs that seem obliviously ok with building churches that look like basketball courts. Sic semper cum moderna. Cannot fully describe the joy we felt being here. Loved the coral-plaster columns, the Koa wood altar, and the antique built-in holy water fonts. The crucifix is exemplary and done in the French style. There is a surprising authentic statue dedicated to Our Lady of LaSallette and a very Hebraic themed statue of St Joseph, foster father of the Child Jesus. Spent a long time in prayer here. Tempus fugit... and time flew. Aside from the transcendent attributes, just walking around the site was edifying and peaceful. Highly recommend one visit this historic landmark if in the area. Mahalo for reading my review. Pax et Bonum.

Finally I tried to visit this church and after trying for 2 months, I felt that the pastor in his sermons was more just reading the bible without giving inspiration or motivation to the congregation. If I only listened to Brother Bruce reading the bible, I wouldn't need to come to church and because I have done that (I have finished reading the bible 3 times), one thing that made me want to ask Brother Bruce and I honestly feel that Brother Bruce is not worthy to be a leader pastor, he teaches something that is clearly contrary to Christian teachings, especially the 10 commandments of God, Thou shalt not kill !!!During mass on March 1, 2026, he justified the attack by Israel and America to kill the leader of Iran and also the attack caused the killing of hundreds of school children (they proudly displayed a picture of the Iranian leader with the sentence eliminated,) seeing this I felt disgusted and I asked myself why I was in this building? Is this a church? A pastor rejoices in the murder of someone he may personally hate. If Brother Bruce reads this, I hope he will re-evaluate and rethink the meaning of the Christian faith taught by Jesus Christ. Whatever the reason, there is no justification for murder.
