I sampled the Mash & Mallow S'more's Whiskey and the Ramazzotti Amaro which resembles a little like sambuca. The Mash & Mallow S'more's Whiskey has a great taste. They don't carry the Mary Dowling Whiskey product yet but I'm sure will be getting it. They are doing a-little renovations and plans for more coolers along the wall for more products to arrive. The machine was broken 'during renovations' but there was no signage to announce the issue. No solution was offered. It appears the credit card machine was just fine and I'm surprised to learn there's a different machine for Pop-N-Cork gift cards.

I was impressed that they had them in stock (out on the floor, not behind the counter or in a glass case) and I was also pleased with the pricing. Not too different from megastore Total Wine. It's good to support local small businesses when you can. I saw one of the earlier "less-than-enthralled" reviews. Could the customer service behind the counter have been a bit friendlier? Perhaps, but at least for me it wasn't so bad that I would only give one-star like they did. Selection, availability, and price are more than enough to offset.

However, the new guy (owner/manager Miklos) clearly doesn't exemplify the meaning of having a "Better Life". While in the store, I heard him yelling at a customer a couple of aisles over. When I got to the register to check out, I too ended up in a shouting match with him. He was RUDE and ineffective in handling customer complaints which include: 1-Listen attentively 2-Empathize and APOLOGIZE 3-Offer and execute a solution In speaking with a few others, this not the first time for this behavior from him. The staff and employees there still get 5 STARS from me!!!!

There was cork in the wine and half the cork is in the bottle. I went to exchange the wine today and the pay at the cash register just said that she needs to talk to the distributor to get a credit. As a customer, that isn't my issue. I did not buy wine from the distributor I brought it from this store. I asked how long will that take and she said she doesn't know. She will contact me. This is my 2nd time at the store, so I'm not sure how she's going to contact me. I asked her to take down my information. She then threatens to call the cops and speak over me instead of taking down my information to call me back? I'm not sure what customer service training this is, but it's clear in the reviews that when this woman doesn't want to be a decent human she pulls a Karen and threatens to call the cops. I asked her to call them because they she would have my information as I did nothing wrong. While she wasn't listening and trying to take customers behind, please note I waited on line and told her that she can take the next customer when she writes my info. She finally wrote it down and I have the photo above as proof. It's clear that she has no lack of care as a normal store employee would have refunded me or gave me a new bottle instead of threatening to call the cops. I will be writing to the wine company as well as finding out who the distributor is and leaving a review with the BBB and then I will be getting my money back. I'd advise folks not to shop here going forward. They have old wine stored improperly and thus shitty ass corks. The owner just called me back 2 weeks later and literally accused me of opening the bottle of wine with a knife. They didn't ask any questions. Just told me I used a knife. Do not waste your hard owned money here. I will be writing a complaint with the BBB as this establishment is racist and down right rude.

We decided to grab some beers for tonight. In San Diego, the CVS had alcohol. They don't here. Lol, oh well. This shop is fully stocked. Lots of wine, I was pretty amazed. We were able to get a good six pack of beer here. Although they aren't as stocked as Thebeershop, when it came to the craft beer selection, but they do win it for the winos! Which I totally am one.
