Disappointing. I went to this location years ago (it was called something else), as I was interested in craft beers and vino for the New Year. I was - honestly - disappointed, as the selection is quite good, but the prices are an anathema to frugality. Even the Sam Adams beer "sale" at 17.99 was no sale as I can get that in my local Putnam Plaza place for 15.99 on sale. I remarked to my brother, if Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge (and elsewhere) where competing next door to this Table & Vine, Table & Vine would be out of business. I support business. I have no ill will to these owners. However, imho, this place is overcharging by a pretty decent margin on a pretty wide selection of items. Disappointing that I made the drive as I thought this was a special place. read more

We just went there today and they have removed their entire cheese, etc. selection and an employee told us they are removing most of the gourmet sections. So, it looks like this is just going to be a regular old liquor store soon. No need to make a special trip here anymore. What a bummer? Cannot believe how extremely rude the manager at this store is. Was there once before and she told me that my boyfriend and I had forgotten our id On numerous occasions. I explained to nicely to her that it was only Once. We've been working in our backyard all week so we took a little nap, Then went to grab a couple nips. She brought the cop over to the register and asked me if I had been drinking already. I thought she must be joking, I had literally just rolled out of bed. Even the cop she brought as her backup laughed. There is something seriously wrong with this woman.And she should not be in the position she is. However workers are great and super knowledgeable. My wife and myself have been going to Table and Vine for 30 years or so. Through time, our preferences have changed regarding the alcohol we drink and what we offer to our guests. Nevermind, the cost in certain circumstances. The entire staff has not only been helpful but also knowledgeable every single time. In the last few years we have become more red wine drinkers, as well as a number of friends and relatives of ours. Jules, Julian, and mostly Mike Quinlen have been recommending different wines to us. Can't be more grateful than the 2020 Gabrielle Ashley that Mike stated that we would probably like. So much so, that we filled our wine cellar with several cases. Because of their knowledge on cheese and other items, we still prefer to drive the 15 miles or so from Ludlow. Kudos to the staff!! read more

This place is really incredible. A full third of the place is wine of all kinds, with wine specials! I know little about wine so turned around three times which apparently summoned a man who helped me choose a white Zinfandel. The liquor aisles are very much like a grocery, With the really good stuff on the top shelves, known stuff in the middle and cheap stuff on the bottom. I wanted everything. Wide variety of every kind of alcohol with associates around to help. I wandered around looking at things I've never seen or even thought of. Maybe I do like whiskey... perhaps a delightful pear liquor would be good to try... premixed cocktails without artificial flavors? Yes please. As you approach this gargantuan liquor store, your first reaction might be "Holy Crap this place is as big as a supermarket". Well, you'd be right, because Table & Vne occupies the space of a former Big Y Supermarket. In fact, the shopping carts still have the Big Y logo on them. Enormous. this store is enormous. The wine section alone is bigger than most entire liquor stores. Crazy huge beer section too. They have a really nice food section too, mostly snacks and gourmet fare. They sell Yuengling beer , which I can't get in Connecticut. Because we are so close to Cinco De Mayo, they had a Tequila Fair today, with lots of free samples of different tequilas. If you can't find what you are looking for here (in terms of alcohol) than I don't know where else you will find it. They have almost everything. I stopped in looking for a specific bottle of Argentinian wine that I tried out on a date recently and found it with ease in their South American section. Negra Modelo, my favorite Mexican beer which not everyone carries, also right there waiting for me. Staff is super helpful and friendly. read more

To the cashier ladies at the front: I would appreciate not being treated with such discontentment for forgetting my license. Especially when I'm the one who waited 20 minutes in line just to not be able to purchase my wine. I already had a very exhausting day at work and the last thing anyone wants is someone being rude. Table & Vine sells Beer, Wine a large assortment of Hard Liquors.... with that in mind, the store is as big (if not bigger) as a regular chain grocery store. When I go there, I'm always impressed with the knowledgeable staff and the amount of information they know on the products they sell, and if they don't have the information you're looking for, they'll stop what they're doing and find the answer. I call that great customer service! I also like the idea of making my own 6-pack. The only downside is that it's so damn expensive (but worth it). The high prices don't bother me too much, because I seem to always come back for more. I would definitely recommend Table & Vine, it's worth it. read more

Wow. Only place i have seen with a better selection of alcohol is The Party Source in Newport, Kentucky (self described as the biggest liquor store in the United States). Speaking of Kentucky: this place has an impressive selection of Bourbon that would hold its own or beat many of the nicest stores in Kentucky. The people were super friendly and the overall selection of booze was nice for all types. Pricing seemed pretty standard for the area. If you are in the area, you have to stop here and spend some of your hard earned money on your favorite liquor. read more

I came here on a mission for some blueberry liqueur for my parents for xmas this year, and I had to force myself to only go down the one aisle or I could have spent hundreds in here in one go. This business is only good if you are not a minority. I should have noticed the customer base prior to entering the store. When in the store there were no people of color. When getting to the cashier to purchase my Items which would come out to more than $100.00 worth of items, I was asked for my ID. That wasn't the problem. The issue was no one else was asked for identification. While looking for my ID the cashier left to speak to the store manager to see if I was okay. Mind you I am a very grey haired old late fiftish old lady who also is a person of color. This was an awful experience since I was trying to help a friend who just lost her father in death. After my delicious dinner at Cal's Wood-Fired Grill in West Springfield, I needed to get up and walk around a bit before hopping back on the Mass Pike and driving west towards my hotel. Directly across the street from the restaurant was a gigantic warehouse with a huge lighted sign advertising "Beer, Wine, and Liquor" and I knew I needed to go see what was there. I am quite sure that a choir of angels started singing as soon I walked through the front doors at Table & Vine, and I truly had to stop and gasp as I took in the sights. This was the largest collection of beer, wine, liquor, cheeses, and gourmet foods that I had ever seen under one roof. Pardon me while I kneel down and say a few words of thanks before grabbing a shopping cart. "Look at all my precioussssssssss" Sorry......where were we? Oh yes, this was a truly amazing collection of spirits as far as the eye could see. Hard-wood floors, subdued lighting, excellent signage -- all to showcase nearly 4,000 varieties of wine, over 2,700 spirits, 1,700 domestic, imported, micro and craft-brewed beers, 150 artisan cheeses and 1,500 specialty foods. I felt like I was walking through an adult version of IKEA with people shuffling up and down the aisles, behind their carts as they paused to marvel at Table & Vine's collection, and then looked carefully at the prices which were certainly reasonable. According to the signage, Table & Vine has about ten thousand items in stock, so I knew that I was in for an exciting evening. They have one of the world's largest temperature-controlled wine cellars, and a vast collection of spirits, including their enormous variety of Cognacs, Armagnacs and single-malt whiskies. Oh yes, this was Bourbon Heaven for me! I was very impressed by their huge assortment of microbrewery and imported lagers and ales from the world's best known brewers, as well as some of the smallest, local brewers located around the country, as well as in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. As if the beer, wine, and spirits wasn't enough, Table & Vine carries a wonderful assortment of gourmet and specialty foods, including imported, domestic and local cheeses, olives, fine pâtés and terrines, charcuterie, oils and vinegars, exotic spices and condiments, jams and jellies, coffees, teas and hot chocolates, sparkling waters, handcrafted breads and crackers, award-winning hors d'oeuvres, imported chocolates, beautiful, mouth-watering cakes, pies and tarts......*gasps* I picked up some artisanal cheeses and whole-grain crackers, as well as a bottle of High West's American Prairie Reserve Bourbon to share with my Dad when I see him this weekend. There's something for everyone at Table & Vine. From cheap to expensive, simple to gourmet. My husband loves craft beer so we made the 30+ minute drive here from hartford to check it out and we weren't disappointed. They had several craft beers to choose from. There was even a wall of international beers divided by cute little flags labeling the country of origin. There were also sooooo many wine choices. I wasn't in the market for any but picked up a couple anyway since the prices and selection were better than where I usually shop. I was looking for a particular cheese that I had tasted at another wine shop but unfortunately they didn't have it. That didn't stop the woman behind the counter from showing me the other lovely cheeses they do have and even offering to open some for me so that I could taste. As I mentioned there's something for everyone at table and vine. In the snacks section we stumbled upon some tarantulas and snake jerky. The service was great. When I needed help finding something someone was always easy to find and helped with a courteous smile. All in all a good experience. Worth the drive read more

I'm going to start this review by saying that I normally hate having to drive around Riverdale plaza on rt 5, but going to Table and Vine makes it all better. Not only do they have a huge selection of every liquor you could ever need, including lots of local craft beers, wine, ciders, etc., they also have a cool food section with cheeses, chocolate, add ins, and anything you might need to have a wine and cheese party or just a fun gathering. The cheese section is my favorite. The staff that works there is also very knowledgeable and really willing to help. I love looking at the staff wine picks since I don't know that much about wine, and one time I found a good cab because of 'Don's pick.' Last weekend I was looking for Iron Duke Dead Nuts, and one of the guys went back to the cooler and found it for me (it wasn't stocked). They also sell a bunch of cool gift baskets around this time of the year. Check it out--you won't be disappointed!! read more

They have shopping carts, so I suppose that puts a good visual on this place's size. They also have a nice selection of cheeses, crackers, etc., which works out well if you're just looking to pick up some wine and cheese for a few guests, or to bring to a dinner with friends. Maybe it's my imagination, but the prices aren't as much of a steal as they used to be when it was called "Town & Country." They can still be quite good, but kind of in the same way that Costco / BJ's wholesale clubs are only a deal if you know typical prices. The website is www.tableandvine.com. Oh my stars! How did I not know that this absolutely MARVELOUS place existed!!!! Hubby and I whiled away a good hour and then some (and we could have stayed sooo much longer, if we had had the time). Yes, the wine selection is superb, the beer and also liquor selections as well...but what really struck me was the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff. They were happy to answer as many questions as I could fire at them - and quite knowledgeably! Spend some time in the Specialty Food section...there is an abundance of artisan cheeses; I also picked up a delightful pate, absolutely FRESH french bread, olives...well, you get the idea. Table & Vine is a part of the Big Y family, in a much better way. Set outside of Connecticut's blue laws, Table & Vine is an easy 45 minute drive from me up interstate 91. On a Super Bowl Sunday without any beer, this place was a MUST VISIT RIGHT NOW The shop is HUGE! Very easy to see from the road. The inside is beautiful and classy, while being stuffed to the brim with booze. There was a display of speciality gift baskets right at the door, and then the store opened up into wine and cheese galore. I was ALMOST overwhelmed by the large selection, but I won't let a little vino get to me. So I started with the California Chardonnays, which was what I was searching for anyways. I noticed the selection ran a little more along the higher end wines, and more well-known names. I saw a lot of familiar names and labels, and did not so much discover new wines. I settled on a 2007 Simi Russian Rivers Chardonnay, which I chose over the Sonoma Coast Simi Chardonnay from 2008. The perfect pick for me that night; crisp and creamy, delicate pears and vanilla on the palette. Sergio, my beer man, went straight for the brews. I think he was just as overwhelmed as I, however it was equally distributed between the beers and the cheeses. Finally, for cheeses, we settled on a Mahon, a Drunken Goat (soaked in red wine!), and a crumbly blue cheese. Beers ended up being a case of Narragansett, and a six pack of a very hard to find Imperial, beer from Costa Rica. We had a lot of fun, and Table & Vine is a place that we will surely come back to when we find ourselves on a Sunday without drinks. I did think that some of the product was overpriced, however, not by much. Some of the bottles of alcohol I know could have been found for a dollar or two cheaper, but nothing crazy. read more

Not only does Table & Vine boast the square footage of a full supermarket, it's also an incredibly beautiful store to be in - the wood floors and dim lighting, ample signage and store organization - It's like a Balducci's, but a little drunker. I likes me my local beer and wine, and being from Connecticut, Table & Vine exposed me to some Massachusetts varieties that I'd never seen before. I jumped at the chance and purchased a few new bottles of both. I can't think of a better place to pass off one's own serious case of alcoholism as a "pleasant shopping experience." read more

Beware, right before holidays, its packed. But lines seem to move fairly quickly. Great selection and something for everyone. They even have wine ice cream! Yep! This is as good as it gets! My friend told me about this magnificent place and we had to see it with our own eyes. Dude did not lie!!! They have everything here, literally! As you walk-in there is someone directly to your left that will have wine samples, yeah free samples yo! As you wonder through the wine aisles you will notice that they have the wine broken up based on where it was made and if it is a red or white. They have these little cute cards with information on the explaining what flavors are in the bottles and what to pair it with. Totally helpful for a wannabe wino like me!!! They don't have just wine here; they also have beers from breweries all over the place. It's pretty awesome. My fiancé loves trying new beers. So this was like heaven to him! You want mixers? If I died, and heaven existed, it would look like Table & Vine. I'd never been before, so I had zero expectations going into this massive supermarket of booze. Walking in the door, I was immediately leveled. This place is HUGE and packed from wall to wall with every type of beer, wine, and liquor you can imagine. The dim mood lighting definitely tells you "this place is for adults who like Camembert cheese with their Chenin Blanc, or grown men whose posh urban loft smells of rich mahogany." Surprisingly-- at least, to me-- they have quite a selection of food pairings to go with your beverage purchases: cheese, smoked/cured meats, olives and peppers, crackers, bread, chocolates and other sweets. If you're pressed for time and on your way to a dinner party, swinging by Table & Vine will make it a one-stop shop. I was interested in buying some small-brewery bottles to mix and match as a birthday gift for my fiance. Walking into the beer aisle was a bit overwhelming: every type, size, and flavor imaginable, in names you've never ever heard of. I asked for help (there were three employees stocking that aisle) and got a plethora of suggestions fired. Unfortunately, the cost of the bottles (two of the ones I selected were $7+ each), kept me from doing the pick-6 deal. Had I known that they offer a %-off for the mix and match, I might have gone ahead with it anyway. I walked out with two small-brewery IPAs with really cool/indie graphic labels. The price is a little above-average, but you're getting something unique and unusual. My one complaint is that when I went (I believe on a Friday?) the place was JAM-PACKED. I felt harried and rushed, and couldn't really spend a lot of time perusing the beer aisle as swarms of people (and employees stocking) ebbed back and forth in waves. The last time someone offered me a taste of a cheese I was considering was... at Savenor's in Cambridge in 1979. When I was invited to sample each of the cheddars before purchasing one, I was blown away. Unfortunately, we just noticed some price hikes as we go there often to purchase scotch for my husband. For example, one item went up $7 since our last visit. This is the only reason why I rate them with 4 stars - they used to be marginally cheaper than most other liquor stores and their selection far exceeded the rest. It is nice that they offer cheese, glassware, and other oddities to add to their massive collection of liquor for sale. They even have free tastings from time to time that you can sign-up for. I certainly wouldn't classify the tastings as anything to write home about, but I think it is a nice gesture and a great opportunity for patrons to reach out of their comfort zone for free to try different types of liquor. The staff always seems very pleasant and helpful. You typically don't have to go far to find someone who will offer you assistance. Quick tip: with large purchases of the same types of liquor, they offer bulk discounts automatically. Always nice to get to the register and realized you saved money without asking! read more
