It's amazing how much actually fits inside the small storefront, and it is always clean and organized. There is better craft beer selection here than at the only place in Longmeadow, which is about 5 times the size of Angie's. She will also special order you something if you ask. And even though the alcohol tax is higher in Connecticut, I'd much rather go to Angie's.

Sadly, the beer selection here isn't as vast as Bottle Shop (probably because of the size), but they do have a halfway decent selection, as well as a good selection of other wares (like liquor and wine). So if you're in the Williams Street area, it's a viable option to pick up a bottle or a 6 pack.

I calculate that I spend at least $80.- $100.at this business. Today I was not offered a bag for my 3-pack of sparkling Lunetta wine. I grabbed the three-pack by the bottle top and whoa, the bottle pulled out of the usually hard to peel off cardboard container and the three-pack fell to the floor one and one of the bottles broke. The owner came out obviously displeases and scolded me for not holding the bottles from the bottom. I apologized and asked if I could replace the broken bottle with another one. The owner and the new employee said (not very nicely) "no" and that it was my fault. I am surprised that considering the competition in Longmeadow MA among the 3 package stores that he was so ungenerous. I told him that was not very nice to do to a regular customer (who in 9 months has never broken a bottle before). Thus I am transferring my business to The Bottle Shop Discount Liquors on Laurel St. in Longmeadow. They have a wider range of selection and charge about a dollar less for the little Lunetta 3-pack. It is a little bit further from where I live but I am pretty sure they would not blame the customer and would give me another 6-oz bottle to substitute. It is good business to do so.

I have visited before, but this was my first visit in about six years or so. They have an absolutely enormous selection of alcoholic beverages, but I was only interested in exploring their very impressive selection of craft beer. I don't make it to this area very often, so I was most looking forward to see if they carried anything that's either hard to find or just totally unavailable in my home area of New Haven, Connecticut. I spent maybe a half hour just walking down the aisles and seeing what all of the options were. Afterwards, I was ready to begin shopping. I ended up purchasing a pretty sizable haul which should keep my refrigerator full for a while. Most of the beers I grabbed were rare barrel-aged stouts, but I also picked out a few IPAs and other various styles that no longer get distribution in my home area. If you're looking for a serious selection of excellent craft beer, wine, or spirts in New England then look no further than Yankee Spirits!

An obscure cider brand from Michigan you tried once on a vacation? Not only do they have it they have a variety from that same brand. They created the PhD on the subject. It's actually not a good place if you get overwhelmed easily as the store has about 800% inventory at all times and they span from the basics to absolute top shelf temp/humidly controlled storage for basically anything you can drink. Staff is so helpful they make shopping pleasant - I went in looking for Marsala wine to make a chicken dish and after talking to a wine person there I had 3 more dish ideas and left with something completely different than Marsala wine - and it was incredible. Perfect recommendation. The most selection of liquor , the largest variety of cider and microbrews and a staggering selection of wine, again I can't see a reason to go elsewhere anymore.

Sure, let me take the trek and give them a try. Was very early, so there was a group of 6 people all waiting on people to show up. Slightly awkward coming in with everyone bright and attentive. I ask about lattes and they tell me their flavors. I opted for their hazelnut latte and a drip coffee to go which I would pick up later when I was going to leave. Asked if they did food, they did and referred to the menu which was turned off. They fixed that quickly and I opted for their sausage egg and cheese. Also got a holy donut which they got from Maine. Wasn't sure how it would be fresh, but was intrigued. Drip coffee, latte, and food were all delivered at the same time. Chalked it up to nerves, grabbed my bites and took a seat. The space is large, a couple of couches but mostly chairs. Coffee bar was in the far corner by the door, had sugars but no milks. Also no station to drop off dishes. Assume someone would have to bus tables in that setup. The hazelnut latte didn't have strong notes of either hazelnut or coffee. I mostly got milk, which is correct for a latte but was hoping that the coffee would shine a bit more. That plus the hazelnut flavor was house made so I assumed that it was just very light in flavor. The drip coffee was very hot and a little weak. Got some fruity notes on the front, but no coffee mid and finish was watery. Fine if you drink your coffee with lots of milk and sugar, but those are not as needed since there's not a lot of bitter to counteract. The donut is a baked donut, dense and was a little cold due to it being so early and then just coming out of the fridge. Good lemon flavor, but it's a donut that screams for coffee to lighten up the density. The sandwich was not bad, but not great. The bun, cheese, and aoli were very good quality and treated well. They toasted the bun, melted the cheese to a gooey consistency, and the aoli was rich and had a little spice zip to it. The egg and sausage were pre-packaged, a little too small for the bun size, and the sausage was very dense and rubbery. I informed the head barista of the coffee issues. they agreed to look into it, but didn't action anything right away. I hope they will tweak the coffee issues, and they are brand new so there's still those first day jitters to work out. Brand are from a west Hartford roaster, and they do medium and dark roasts. As a brand new place, it's got some tweaking to do. The foundation is good, but the location is right on the cusp of the rural part of the state. They will need to dial in their offerings and get their name out there quickly to get the locals on board. Signage will be key, and social media will need to be out in full force. They can be great, and they got a good staff with the knowledge. It's a little rough around the edges currently.

There was cork in the wine and half the cork is in the bottle. I went to exchange the wine today and the pay at the cash register just said that she needs to talk to the distributor to get a credit. As a customer, that isn't my issue. I did not buy wine from the distributor I brought it from this store. I asked how long will that take and she said she doesn't know. She will contact me. This is my 2nd time at the store, so I'm not sure how she's going to contact me. I asked her to take down my information. She then threatens to call the cops and speak over me instead of taking down my information to call me back? I'm not sure what customer service training this is, but it's clear in the reviews that when this woman doesn't want to be a decent human she pulls a Karen and threatens to call the cops. I asked her to call them because they she would have my information as I did nothing wrong. While she wasn't listening and trying to take customers behind, please note I waited on line and told her that she can take the next customer when she writes my info. She finally wrote it down and I have the photo above as proof. It's clear that she has no lack of care as a normal store employee would have refunded me or gave me a new bottle instead of threatening to call the cops. I will be writing to the wine company as well as finding out who the distributor is and leaving a review with the BBB and then I will be getting my money back. I'd advise folks not to shop here going forward. They have old wine stored improperly and thus shitty ass corks. The owner just called me back 2 weeks later and literally accused me of opening the bottle of wine with a knife. They didn't ask any questions. Just told me I used a knife. Do not waste your hard owned money here. I will be writing a complaint with the BBB as this establishment is racist and down right rude.

I hadn't my credit card on me, so it was either pay with phone or typing in my number, and he was EXTREMELY bothered when I asked to pay with my phone. All it takes is a simple no. So as I go to type in my card number he grabs the machine out of the simple touch of my fingertips accusing me of trying to commit fraud, saying I as a customer am not allowed to touch said machine. But that being said, how would I put my card in the chip reader and type my pin number anyways? I guess he must not have thought about that or was too focused on being well over the top rude. I was very shocked on being scolded as an adult, because these are simple conversations that take just a bit of patience and kindness, so, my knee-jerk response was "dude" half jokingly, because I don't think I've interacted with someone even half as rude as all of his wrinkles tell he is. So upon this well escalated situation, only on his behalf, he refused to sell me anything. Nothing but strange, I left feeling confused as nothing had gone wrong but his own attitude.
