I love this bank! I have two accounts here. One is a CD so not much activity there. But I am the "co-signer" for my grandson's checking account. He has a part time job so occasionally I make a deposit for him. When I come in to make his deposit, I don't need to fill out a deposit ticket. I don't need to show ID. All the bank requires from me is the name on the account and they make the deposit. Occasionally they will ask me for one piece of information to double check they have the correct account but its not an account number. In other words, they make you feel as if they know you so well (which they don't because I'm not in there on a regular basis) that they can make your deposit for you without providing the debit card, etc. I love that feeling of being in a small home town bank where everyone knows everyone. Its folksy, know what I mean? I will tell you that I shopped heavily for rates for a month before making a sizable IRA deposit. Home Bank had the best rate of return that I could find of all the banks that I checked. I even checked out credit unions, even though there are no credit unions in Mooresville. Some of them were able to match Home Bank's rate but I didn't want to travel that far. You might want to check this bank out. They still offer free gifts for opening accounts. I don't see that too much anymore. read more

I read the reviews for this branch, and I have to say that I've not experienced any of the problems…read morereported. I will say that if you call a bank during business hours you will probably not get the service you expect, primarily because the tellers are waiting on customers and handling cash transactions. Each time I visit this branch in Mooresville I'm met by someone with a smile, and a kind word. I'm assisted fairly quickly and have no complaints. I would call my card and it still be the wrong balance, than what I KNEW was suppose to be the balance was on there. The app and the hotline were two TOTAL DIFFERENT BALANCES, when I KNEW what was suppose to be on there.
