During my last visit, I ran into a negative encounter but was saved by one your staff members. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but wish I would have. I placed a Martha Stewart solar light sculpture in my shopping cart, then added a twin pack of king size pillows and some sheer drapes. I then proceeded to the decorative pillow section to find some pillows to compliment my new sofa. When I returned to my cart, it was gone. Instead I found my twin pack of pillows and sheer drapes dumped on a table. My cart and solar light sculpture were no where to be found. I asked one of the staff members if they had seen my cart and she replied that someone may have taken it. We then proceeded to search the store and found the culprit with my cart and sculpture. When the staff member questioned her, she replied she found it in a cart. I said, yes, that was my cart and promptly removed it. She apologized but what gives her the right to take someone elses cart and merchandise. Luckily this staff person and I worked quickly to find the thief. read more

I'm leaving 5 stars because the staff at this Location are really nice, professional & sweet to me. I been shopping at this store since I moved to Santa Maria in 2019. But lately their store has been very hot when I come in, it's like I can't shop comfortably bc it's hot. How can employees clean, organize and enjoy working if it feels like a sauna inside? They have better stuff at this location than any other home goods or tj max. I mean their stuff is amazing! Please turn on your AC and give your employees better treatment. No one can work happy if it's always so hot and specially bc they gotta move around a lot. Thank you read more

Love Home Goods!! They have so many good finds! I especially love all the stuff they have for organizing. I also like their candles. I was able to get a nice candle for my mother in law . I also picked up some heart shaped chocolates from Italy for my youngest. Picked up macarons for my oldest. And for myself I grabbed some valentines kitchen towels with some cute kitties on them & hearts. Home Goods always has the best holiday decorations. But you need to buy early and if you see something you like grab it then because they go quick!! read more

My wife conned me into going here. With rain showers breezing through and Guadalupe Dunes a little soggy, we stopped in here after ice cream and before a walk through of Dick's Sporting Goods in the same shopping center. I asked my wife, "is it like Bed, Bath, & Boredom?" "Better," she said.... an answer up for interpretation. When we entered, the pungent odor of potpourri, shampoo, scented candles, and other fragrant things punched me in the face. Each aisle presented haphazardly piled stacks of home decorations, cushions, pots, pans, candles... all of the stuff that I just love (to never shop for.) I'll never get back this half hour of my life. I suppose if you like browsing through piles of throw pillows, pet crockery, silk flowers, wicker baskets, and the like, then this is your store. The comic relief is the number of men's men sitting around here and there throughout the store, waiting for their better half to browse through assorted aisles and piles. Not sure that I was that obvious. Until writing this, anyway. read more

My husband and I made a stop on our way back to LA and was happy to find a few home goodies but that nice feeling all came to a halt after realizing two things within 15 minutes of shopping there. If you want to feel harassed or profiled go use the restroom located in the back. The manager or an associate will FOLLOW you inside the restroom after a couple minutes and PRETEND to urinate at the next stall. To the white woman with wavy blondish/brownish long hair: at least try to squeeze out your bladder instead of pulling your pants down and up again. After the theatrics, they come out and wash their hands next to you WITHOUT making any eye contact. Fucking awkward and obvious on what just happened. That was the MOST uncomfortable experience ever to say the least. The store should consider hiring one of those bathroom attendants like they do at the club to help keep an eye out if they wanna spy. They also start pretending to reorganize items next to you which makes you feel that they're watching if you're going to steal. Like can a young woman please look for a descent meatloaf dish and use the restroom in peace without the passive-aggressive STALKING behavior from the staff?! Seriously it's NOT okay to harass your innocent customers. We found it bizarre and highly uncomfortable as a shopper. A heads up to everyone: Pay attention to your surroundings next time when you're there and you will see what I'm referring to. The associates will surround you and they sometimes pretend to be regular customers without the Home Goods red apron. Once that happens, start using them as your personal assistant or body guard from the heavy ceramics. They might as well push your cart for you too. lol read more

Just got back in town. Was told to find stuff for my apartment there. Wow, were they right. They got a lot of stuff. I spent like 45 minutes in there just browsing. There seems to be too much stuff in every shelves. the aisles are a bit small so moving around is challenging. other than that, i did pick up a lot of stuff that i didn't realize i needed before i went in so that was good :) I will be back. read more

This location is new and amazing. There hasn't been one time that I have come in and the shelves have been sparse. There is a variety of options for your home, office, and your furry friends. There's always something to buy and if you look closely you can find some great deals in the clearance sections. I'm not a huge fan of this store because the shelves are always a mess and there are hundreds of items crammed everywhere. The vibe of the store just feels dirty and cluttered. The aisles are small and almost impossible to get through if you have a cart. However, I still shop at this store on occasion and I usually find one or two good items. Today, I purchased a French Coffee Press. When I got home and opened the press to wash the parts I discovered the press had already been used. There were still coffee grounds and water inside of the canister! The instruction card had been shoved back into the dirty canister and the excess water had absorbed onto the instruction card. HOW DISGUSTING. There is NO excuse for something like this to happen. I understand the past couple of weeks have been busy, but that doesn't matter...you have to check merchandise that has been returned. I'm not a COVID fanatic, but this just makes me feel like the staff at the SM HomeGoods store does not clean or sanitize anything. read more

Always love coming to home goods. Most of the time I go for one item and end up getting more than I can hold.

I love Home Goods stores and this one is pretty good as far as selection. It's a bit jam packed, which makes navigating the store a challenge. My main issue is the unfriendly workers. I have been here multiple times and not once have I ever had an employee smile or ask if I'm finding everything okay. On the contrary, when I pass someone in an an aisle, they pointedly look straight ahead and won't make eye contact or acknowledge my presence. I can't tell if they're just miserable working here or what the deal is, but I find it so odd. I come here for the deals, but not the customer service. read more

I was SOOOO looking forward to this store opening up in our area. It has a lot of wonderful items to look through and my only complaint is that the isles are very narrow and the store is overstuffed with items!! It makes it really hard to maneuver a shopping cart around the store. Then add a lot of people in there on the weekend! I try to avoid the weekends.
