Extremely Disappointed with Castel Home Inspection Inspected a house from the 1950s -- I expected many issues to be flagged. Instead, Castel focused on minor details like: Shower glass not being tempered Missing GFCI outlets in the kitchen and bathroom Major issues Castel completely missed: Multiple active leaks in the foundation Mold in the basement crawl space Clogged line and leaking bathtub Shower leak Broken oven ignition Toilet improperly installed -- wobbly and leaking Other issues: After the inspection, Castel called to raise the price from $500 to $550 because he had to go into the crawl space -- something that should have been expected from the start. I forgot to write this review until I had to replace a bathtub faucet today ($450) because hot water wasn't flowing properly -- a problem Castel never mentioned. Bottom line: Castel's incompetence has easily cost me over $10,000 in repairs. Would not recommend. At all. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The inspection was fine. However communication was not good. Afterwards I was not able to get in contact with the inspector. I called and emailed twice days apart to Costello and his inspector. Later Costel too me the inspector was out of town However he was copied on my emails as well and did not respond. Nor did the inspector reach out when he returned. Will not be using them again. I had to revise my review because shortly after they texted, harassing me telling me I'm unfair and only wanted to apologize because I gave them a bad review! This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. I called and emailed several times after my inspection and didn't get a response from my inspector. Costel did an amazing job with my home inspection. He checked every single outlet in the entire home. He opened up each furnace and the fuse box (screwed off the frame from the wall) to check the wiring. He checked the pipes on the boilers. He brought his ladder to climb into the attic and roof. He found a subtle area of moisture on my floor boards with his keen eye and then used a moisture meter to detect that it was freshly wet (it happened to be raining). He ran the dishwasher upon arriving and checked it at the end to make sure it worked properly. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and even gave me advice on how to keep up with good maintenance of the furnaces to extend their lifetime. It is evident that Costel takes pride in his work and he goes above and beyond to detect anything that may be faulty in the home. I highly recommend doing your home inspection with Costel! read more
