I was going to spend 500 in gift cards as well so rude!

Just left this Target. I'd stopped in to grab a pair of jeans and a snack before heading back home…read more I scanned my first item - Pop Corners Kettle Corn Chips, 2.25 - and the register got weird. The nearby associate came to help and found that the item had been removed from stock. I pointed to the shelf by the register that I got them from; rather than go over to it, they had to search online. After that search failed, they got the price of the rack, then discounted it. No big deal. I scanned the rest of my items. The associate, who hovered around as I did this, suspiciously asked "39 dollars with Levi's on the tag?" I pointed out that they were Denizens, which is the cheaper Levi's. They're 32.99. The associate browsed the rest of my purchases and said "oh, it's just that the other things you purchased (drink, chips) weren't expensive. I gave this person no reason to be suspicious of me. She didn't have a right to look through what I bought. The only thing that even led to our interaction was that the system didn't have the chips in inventory that I picked up from a shelf by the register and scanned. I've never been made to feel like this at a store. I will NEVER shop at this Target again.

Usually my experience with Lowes is good and they are awesome but I just went through an ordeal…read morethat has tainted their reputation in my eyes. I ordered two appliances on sales from their online 4th of July promotion whereby they were offering the special order appliances 50% off! So, I ordered them on July 3rd. I didn't get the range delivered until September 28th and the above-range microwave was not delivered as it was reported as "damaged" by the delivery people. Well, they still charged me for the microwave, didn't order a replacement, and now they are telling me they can't get or order a new one at the price I ordered and paid for even though they still sell the very same model. I talked patiently to their corporate customer service and the best they would do is give me 20% discount on the new priced same item. To make things super awesome, they changed the order to make it look like I picked the item up in-store so they could issue a refund? So now I'm stuck with a range in a special-order color I didn't specifically want to save some money and am expected to either accept the new higher price, choose a different color, or try and fight to get what I paid for.

I'm emailing you because I am at wits end on how to deal with this ongoing issue. The only…read moreresolution I can forsee is to quit shopping altogether at any of your stores. If that is your response, my husband and I can arrange that. I am attaching a copy of my answer to the last question on your survey requesting additional information. This has been brought up in my responses on previous surveys but apparently people are asleep at the wheel in your "survey department" or maybe all of them are also busy chitchatting with their collegues and cannot be bothered with us lowly customers because the issues continue. Lowes survey question to "additional comment" Hire friggen cashiers!!!! And actually make your floor associates do their job, ie-pricing items or at least putting prices on the shelves where the item is located, pulling stock from the top shelves to replenish lower shelves that customers can reach and actively offering assistance to customers. It's ridiculous that I or anyone has to friggen hunt down help or climb shelves myself (and this is just a forewarning, if I fall at your store because of your stupidity in not hiring enough associates that WILL work, not just standing around chatting with their collegues, I will sue). I spend more time LOOKING for an associate to "tell" me what aisle the item is located in that I came to purchase than it did to put the item in my cart (provided it is stocked on a shelf I can reach because God forbid should your associate have to hold the conversation with their collegue until they assisted me (or any other customer). This leads to my next rant and this is NOT the first time I've brought this up. Yesterday, yes, I actually slept on this because I didn't want to say things out of anger, my husband and I visited your store on Oak Grove Rd in Evansville. This is the 3rd or 4th time we've been in this store since we've relocated to this area. My disdain has only grown since the first time we went there. I do not feel as though my expectations are outrageous or unreasonable. You, as a provider, charge us for products or services you "make" available to us, the public. My complaint here is that there is an expectation of customer service in the big box store that is GROSSLY missing in yours. Yesterday the only associate that was genuinely doing her best to help us was the young lady who was "manning" your self checkout. I believe her name was Eve or Eva. I have $40 in my Lowes wallet with an expiration date as well as a coupon with an expiration date. When we walked up to the checkouts, I asked her if she could help us with the wallet money and the coupon. She generously offered to check out the items and help me with the coupon and wallet money. Everytime I have tried in the past to access this crap while in your store, it is nothing but a fiasco. Even Eve said she doesn't know what is happening. I was only able to use the coupon that was emailed, we could never access the wallet money. At this point, I just want to tell you and all your corporate gurus to shove your manipulating gimics where the sun don't shine. I could have saved more at Menards. At least their rebates are available to EVERYONE and the rebate card does NOT expire. They also have numerous check outs manned with cashiers. Take note here....I'm pointing out something here that many others have noticed as well. You haven't and are not doing me any favors. Keep in mind, you're only in business because of people like me, who actually spend money in your store. That can most certainly be remedied. There are no laws that say I have to spend a nickel in your store and my husband and I have been doing some rethinking with our shopping choices. I plan on sending this to your corporate office as well. If they are as lazy and negligent as the customer service in this store and whoever receives these receipts, my only other option would be to reach out the Better Business Bureau and leave a negative yelp review. I would like to mention when I've asked store associates why there aren't employees manning cash registers, their response are always "corporate cuts to save money". Why is it that a similar store (Menards) can afford to man their registers AND open more stores???? I seriously believe you and all your penny pinching suits that are greedily snatching profits, need to rethink what you're doing. You can only snatch the money while it's coming in. People get sick of jacking with your screw ups.

AVOID BEST BUY FOR ANY DELIVERY/INSTALL PURCHASE If I could…read moregive zero stars, I would. Best Buy has completely outsourced appliance delivery and installation to a third party called Install Inc., and the result is an absolute disaster. We scheduled a dishwasher delivery and install for Monday, July 6th, with an 8:45am-11:45am window. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP. NO CALL. NO TEXT. NOTHING. When we contacted Best Buy afterward, the phone rep could not get in touch with anyone at Install Inc. despite numerous attempts. I asked to escalate and was promised a callback with a new delivery time. THAT CALLBACK NEVER CAME -- FROM ANYONE AT BEST BUY. We called back hours later. Same result -- still no contact with Install Inc. The rep gave us a "super secret" direct number to try ourselves. After 45 MINUTES ON HOLD, I finally reached someone -- who HUNG UP ON ME FIVE MINUTES IN, presumably because they had no answers to give. Back to Best Buy we went, only to be told the best they could do was reschedule TWO WEEKS OUT. TWO WEEKS! We had already waited over 10 DAYS for an appointment no one honored, and instead of being prioritized, we were PUT BACK AT THE END OF THE LINE. To add insult to injury, THERE IS NO WAY TO EVER REACH ANYONE AT THE ACTUAL STORE BY PHONE -- your only option is to physically walk in. We did. The manager was sympathetic and admitted this has been an ONGOING, KNOWN issue with Install Inc., one they claim to have flagged to "leadership" repeatedly. Yet nothing has changed. In the end, we hired someone through Thumbtack to pick up, deliver, and install the dishwasher ourselves -- at a HIGHER COST than the $180 Best Buy was charging. We requested a $120 CREDIT to cover the difference, plus compensation for the enormous waste of time and frustration. WE ARE STILL WAITING! BOTTOM LINE: DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR -- DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY THAT NEEDS A DELIVERY/INSTALL. This is NOT THE GEEK SQUAD you remember -- it's a broken, outsourced system with ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Buy elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

BEWARE. In my personal experience, this has become the single worst store I have ever dealt with…read more It would take multiple reviews to fully lay out everything that has gone wrong, but here is the short version: This used to be my favorite store--easily. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars here over the years. I was even a longtime Best Buy Total member. But the decline in service, accountability, and basic customer care has been shocking. In my opinion, the store today is nothing like the Best Buy from 10-15 years ago. Not even close. If you have the option, go to Costco, Sam's Club, Amazon, or literally anywhere else. I regret every dollar I've spent here recently. --- My Experience: A Pattern of Problems I have purchased numerous high-dollar items from this store over the last several years, and almost every one of them has come with issues--faulty products, repairs that took far longer than promised, and customer service that made the situation worse every step of the way. A few examples: * A 13-month-old computer repair that took months I was quoted a two-week turnaround as a Total member. Two weeks already felt ridiculous, but months? I'm a Computer Science student, and I stressed how urgent it was. Because of the delay, I had to drop two classes--programming and calculus. Trying to reach the store was a nightmare. After being transferred, I was hung up on repeatedly. It is nearly impossible to speak with anyone at this store or Geek Squad by phone. Their "solution" after the delays? For me to just buy another computer. * A high-end fridge that failed after a year I bought a very expensive refrigerator that started spewing water from the back after only one year. Despite being a Total member at the time of purchase and at the time of the issue, the store refused to send a technician. Even phone support commented on how loyal a customer I was--but nothing was done. I ended up paying a local repair tech out of pocket. * A two-day membership lapse used as an excuse When my debit card expired (which happens to everyone), my membership briefly lapsed for two days. Despite being fully covered at the time of purchase and at the time of the product issue, they used those two days as a reason to refuse every bit of protection I believed I had. * Terrible return policy If you're not a Plus or Total member, you only get a 15-day return window. Just about every other major retailer has significantly better policies. --- Customer service & management In my experience, the management at this location has shown no interest in helping, resolving issues, or even acknowledging legitimate concerns. The store feels more focused on finding technicalities and loopholes than on taking care of customers who've spent years (and a lot of money) trusting them. --- Bottom Line In my personal opinion, this store: does not stand behind the products it sells makes resolving issues extremely difficult provides unreliable repair timelines offers customer service that is dismissive and unhelpful uses any loophole possible to avoid honoring protections has a return policy that is worse than almost every competitor If I can help it, I will never shop here again. If you value your time, your money, or your sanity, please go somewhere else. You've been warned.
