Her dementia and memory loss have also declined. We recently rushed her to the hospital for what seemed to be a minor stroke, fortunately, she was released after 4 days but we didn't want to chance putting her in a nursing home during the current pandemic. So my family opted to keep her in the comfort of her home. We were referred to Dr. Fox's agency the morning of my grandma's discharge from Cedars, so we had very little time to sort things out. Dr. Fox responded back to me and explained the entire process. Since she is a fall risk and wakes up frequently at night to use the bathroom we agreed that a "live-in" caregiver was absolutely necessary for her own safety. Dr. Fox introduced 2 incredible ladies, Nini and Teresita. They split the 7 days/ week. We received almost daily texts from Dr. Fox regarding my mom's status which assured us that the caregivers were in frequent communication. Me and my family feel very reassured knowing that both of these ladies are taking such good care of her. Both are incredible cooks, they prepare healthy meals daily, make sure she gets all her medications, and that she drink lots of water. Teresita is a former nurse so my grandma is getting special attention daily! Both of them also drive, so they are able to get to the market and grocery shop which really helps!This has been such a relief (and perk) for our grandpa who is in his 90's and can now relax, knowing he has such reliable help at home. We cannot thank you enough for your caring and kindness, and for handling EVERYTHING! The caregivers are not only great at what they do, they are so compassionate. They have left my 87 year old father without an ostomy bag for 2 days now, which made him go to the hospital. They didn't return phone calls, and left him to be without an osmotic bags, causing my elderly mother to have to clean up stool coming out of his osotmy because of the lack of supplies from them.
