When I was first looking for daycares. I thought in-home were not ideal and a center would be better but HKA definitely had me change my opinion 180 degrees. I signed up my daughter since she turned 2.5 and she was so extremely shy at first and just glued to the teachers. They accommodated her needs and worked with her and they even helped her with her food neophobia and pushed her to eat everything they offer which is all very healthy btw and was one of the reasons I liked them. Lana is a wonderful owner and caregiver and she has a passion for kids like no other. My kid has been with them for almost a year now and she runs with joy inside when she gets there. I have almost zero worries while she's there. They also call me right away if she fell or anything and keep me posted. They send us pictures everyday of the kids. Their pricing is wonderful for what you get in return. It might be pricier than some but I think it's average if you're looking around when it comes to the sum of money, but for what you truly get in return, it's a wonderful value imo. read more

My son goes to Home Kids Academy with pleasure! He likes health classes taught by a real doctor, drawing and really likes football classes! The children are very friendly, my son has found real friends there. Every day he does not want to leave the kindergarten and I have to make an effort to pick him up. Our son started going to HKA at 18 months and being first time parents, we were very anxious at the thought of leaving him in the care of others. Here we are, 2 years later and he's thriving in more ways than one! We are very grateful for Lana, Lola, Lessly, Mila and Anna. The teachers treat our son like he's their own. He has an adorable nickname that they gave him, and the kids have become his friends. The fact that they speak multiple languages at the school was one of reasons we chose HKA. Our son wasn't speaking much when he started, and now he talks all of the time. Plus he knows colors and numbers in Spanish and Russian (we speak English at home). They play soccer and had a coach that came weekly to teach the kids how to kick and handle the ball. They have a weekly dance class and music class. They listen to different types of music and always have festivities to celebrate the kid's birthdays and holidays. We get photos and videos of the kids each week, which has left us with many memorable keepsakes. The kids are often doing arts and crafts - with paint, glue, and scissors - and we get to take home the things that our son makes. Our son's well being is the most important thing to us, and he's consistently coming home happy each day that he's in their care. My son attended Home Kids Academy for several months and we had a great experience there! The house is very nice and located in the gated community with a soccer field right next to it, where kids go to play soccer with a professional athlete. My son enjoyed the backyard with a swing and a slide. The homemade meals are outstanding! Unfortunately, my son is autistic and he was not eating any of them. However, his teachers were very caring and fed him individually those foods that I provided. My son loved going there every day! He only cried the very first day when I was leaving, that's all! Both my son and I absolutely loved this place. I was very nervous about taking my son to a daycare, since he was staying home all the time during pandemic, but since the very first week, HKA teachers turned out to be true professionals. Here's why we love HKA: 1) Homemade food made from scratch every day. The menu includes soups, vegetables, chicken and beef, occasionally for holidays - might be pizza. The kids eat fresh fruits and berries for snack. 2) Teachers actually teach kids. My kiddo can now count in 3 languages, do a decent coloring job, cut paper with kids scissors, dance, play soccer and remind me to cover my nose when I'm sneezing :D He gets sent home with a pack of crafts they did the week before. 3) Accountability. The teachers send pictures of the kids activities about once or twice per week. Every day I would ask them how my son's day went and what he ate - and they would answer all my questions. The daycare has a lot of Russian kiddos and some Russian teachers, but they practice 3 languages at the same time: Russian, English and Spanish. My son spoke primarily English before joining this daycare and he picked up quite a few words from all 3 languages. Overall, I am very happy with the daycare. I will start by saying that it was a true blessing to find Home Kids Academy, and meet the most amazing founder, Lana. Lana is the most enthusiastic, kind and professional Business owner, who has an exceptional educational background, along with a solid working experience working with young children. This is displayed in her work ethics, and how knowledgeable she is. Lana handles all of the situations immediately, and is on top of everything that has to do with the Home Kids Academy, and the kids. I feel I can reach out to Lana with any questions. Lana has always answered my phone calls and texts - making me feel very comfortable and important. My son who is 5 years old - attends the academy, and let me tell you - he is absolutely excited and can't wait to get to school. He loves all of the fun daily activities, and lessons. Every day he comes home from school and demonstrates his accelerated skills in math, writing and foreign languages. The kids have also a lot of outside play time in the fresh air, as well as soccer, dance and singing classes. They learn multiple languages and the teachers/educators are just phenomenon! After attending this school for more than a year my kindergartner can write and count, swim and speak basic Spanish, but most importantly, he keeps speaking Russian even though he attends kindergarten at a public school now. And my three year old girl has great progress in swimming skills, she can and loves writing and reading, speaks Russian and somehow understands English, total wow for us, because at home we only communicate in Russian. For me as a parent it is super important that kids WANT to go there! The love it. They are always clean and dry and happy. I bring them in early enough to have breakfast served at around 8 am. My child was visiting this daycare for a couple of months. It seemed to be fine: friendly owner, nice area, and a cozy house. And all the reviews are 5.0 which were really nice to read. Unfortunately, it didn't fit our requirements and didn't meet our expectations and we had to leave it. Before we started attending this daycare we explicitly asked several times that there is no screen time and no cartoons. It was the most important thing for us and we were assured that there is no TV time for kids. After some time we started noticing that our kid is annoyed and even angry after we pick them up in the evening. We had experience with different daycares before and It was very unusual for our kid to act this way. It turned out that they were watching TV right before we picked them up. I contacted the owner right away but she didn't respond. Then, the next day she messaged me and I was able to call her. I asked this question about TV time, and she mentioned that kids are tired (interesting, right?) in the evening and sometimes they show them cartoons. Again, I explicitly asked about cartoons multiple times before we decided to join this daycare. Anyway, she promised that it won't happen again. Right the next day we decided to pick them up 30 minutes early (which is unusual for us). It turned out that they were watching cartoons again. I explicitly asked an employee of this daycare what's going on and how often they watch it. She answered that she turns it on 30 minutes before daycare is closed, to "calm down" the kids. I was pretty surprised by this response, so my kid was watching cartoons probably every day for 30 minutes or more. That's really exactly opposite from what I was looking for from daycare. After that situation we never came back again. And the owner never called me back or messaged me. Guess, she is not interested to hear the reason why we left. There are some other small things that we didn't like, but this situation just showed the most important thing: we CANNOT TRUST the owner and thus this place, too. Also, our kid was using a potty for many months before this childcare, but during these months here they always used a diaper for some reason. Well, in the next daycare my kid started using potty there just in a few days. I could only guess why... The tone of this review might look pretty calm, but this situation is really terrible and we are extremely disappointed because of the lie and no feedback. read more

They are very attentions, extremely accommodating to the child's needs ( in very sensitive days too), patient and warm attention. My both children go to this home based school and I could not be happier with my choice, because beautiful souls work here, the teachers are excellent and loving. My four-year-old has been attending for more than a year, he now can count, do math, write and speaks three languages: English, Russian and Spanish, thanks to them! My two-year-old is also doing wonderful: can count in Spanish and understands everything you tell her in any language. We do receive daily reports and pictures and videos as well as text records of what they ate, how long they slept etc. We speak Russian at home so it is very important for us to keep the native language. The great part is that they don't feel like they go to school, they kind of think that they are visiting friend's home for fun. It is an amazing place that I trust. Also we are signed up for swimming classes through this school, swim instructor comes to them every week. They also have a music class every week, their music teacher comes with her electronic piano and kids sing and dance. I'm writing this review because it is teacher appreciation week and these teachers are amazing! Children are always clean and happy. Three of my mom-friends have now enrolled their kids here too. I was lucky enough to find this kindercare after moving to irvine and so sad to have to leave. The only reason to take my son or is we moved too! My son has loved his time here. The fun swimming pool lessons, my son learned swimming.My son would come home every day telling me about them. It was great to see the genuine care from the teachers as well. My son has a very hearty appetite and was never short on food like I saw in a previous review. This was not a problem as usually he would try food there because everyone else was eating it. I am so skeptical about schools and daycares for my kids when I moved to Orange County. When I found HKA, I felt it was too good to be true... but, it's true. Best school in OC for any parents looking for their little ones to excel past the standard public school system. I honestly can't say enough great things about this school! Our son has been attending HKA for approximately 8 months. As a Nurse, it is important to have your son attending a safe environment where he feels nurtured. This is the first Spanish/English/Russian program that he has attended and he is thriving. Our son is trilingual and impressing us with new words or phrases daily. I love that the children are engaging in private soccer and dance lessons. Plus various educational activities daily. He enthusiastically looks forward to preschool everyday! As a parent this is extremely comforting. Communication is efficient and I always receive a timely response to any of my questions. Have been a proud customer for more than a year now. Both of my kids attend this school and both can now read and write(my 2 year old girl and 5 year old boy) they love going there and claim school even on weekends. I drop them off early before breakfast, I mean they are having a free breakfast at the school also they have lunch and snack. In the end of the day I will receive a report that consists of short summary of daily activities and foods and events, naptime etc., as well as a pictures and a short video movie. I am a happy Mom of 3 children (5,5 and 3 years old) that have been attending this Home Kids Academy for the last 7 month. Its been a life changing experience for me and my kids. First, this is the only preschool that I know that provides opportunities to learn 3 foreign languages: English, Russian and Spanish. Me and my kids absolutely love this! They come back singing songs, reciting poems, counting, reading and speaking in 3 different languages. How cool is that?! In addition to this they provide music and swimming lessons on-site weekly with professional instructors.
