While Globe Lighting has lots more styles and designs online, when buying expensive lighting it's a good idea to see it in person so you can gauge the size, proportion, color and span of light. Chandeliers, pendent lights, lighting fixtures can totally transform a room, become the wow feature and set the style for the space so making the right selection is critical. Was greeted the second I stepped through the door by a sales woman asking if I was finding everything I needed. A silly question since I was only in the store 2 seconds! Better to just say, "Welcome, is there something I can help you find?" Or better yet, "Welcome, please let me know if you would like assistance finding something." For me it's such a turnoff to feel like pray when I enter a store! I give the saleswomen credit for apologizing for the "attack." Her words, not mine; but accurate. I know most reviewers complain when they are not greeted upon entry; I'm not one of them! Could care less whether you say hello; just be available and thorough when I have questions. Lighting styles are evolving and I was hoping to find more mid-century modern lights with clean simple lines. They had lots of dark metal, farmhouse, and traditional style lights. Some ultra modern and space age LED lighting, but not as many options for transitional or mid-century. We ended up going with a chandelier we found online after carefully measuring and comparing to current lights. While there, I approached a different salesperson with questions about a bathroom light fixture in my home, one I am having difficulty taking apart to change out the bulbs. Yea, I know that sounds like the beginning of a joke, but it's not! He was super thorough, provided detailed instructions and even gave me options to consider if I wanted to swap the bulbs for an LED strip. All in all, a trip to Globe is worth it when looking for new lighting to see lighting up close and to get guidance from the experts who work there. Globe also has a variety of hardware for cabinets, numbers for the exterior of your house, outdoor lighting, and even home decor lurking in between and around the lamps. So walk around with a keen eye, you never know what you may discover.

While they didn't have them in stock, the downtown location did so they will have them sent to Lake O store for pick up Monday. Very convenient. We also found the perfect touché light for the office that was both functional and attractive. Plus the price was far better than any we had seen. Our sales lady was super helpful without being pushy. It seems like this location caters more to contractors but that in no way means that Residential customers are slighted. She looked puzzled, then started rooting around on her cluttered desk, and said "oh, there is is!", and picked up a package, which had been sitting there for god knows how long. I explained that I paid for 3 lights. She looked disinterested, and told me she would call the supplier the next day and give me a call. Another month past, no phone call, so again I decided to go to the store. The same front desk person was there, and she looked up my order, one of the lights she said had been discontinued, and the other she wasn't sure why it hadn't been shipped. She promised to call them the next day. Another month past, and I returned. She hadn't done anything with my order, so I requested, and was given, a refund. 3 months wasted. Zero effort made to fulfill and order that I had paid for. AVOID!!

He even uses a Google image of the home to show a sample of what the home will look like when the service is done. Despite being in the thick of busy season, they managed to put me on the schedule very quickly so we could enjoy the lights for as long as possible before Christmas Day. The service itself was exceptional! Alexis and I spoke about what was going to be done in detail before he started, and then he simply took care of the rest. The end result is beyond anything we had expected. The lights are perfectly uniform, there's a light at each peak point of our roof line (I love the attention to detail!), no loose/drooping wires anywhere, and the lights themselves couldn't be easier to operate with the wireless remote that's included. Open junctions, inoperable outlets and switches, questionable wiring, and unfinished projects: these are some of the trappings of owning an older home. Paul came out to do an estimate on our project. I had the project bid by multiple companies. Winner's attitude, willingness to take on the project, and prompt follow up with a quote earned them the job. We had a scheduling mishap, but I won't take stars off for that. It was resolved quickly. I am super happy with the work completed. The electricians came out and worked most of the day in all areas of my home. They replaced breakers, outlets, switches, and resolved loose and unsafe wiring that was downstairs and in my garage. Winner answered my questions, and if something didn't seem right, they worked together to find the root cause of the issue rather than applying a workaround. I was so happy with the work completed, that I hired Winner back a second time, a couple weeks later, to complete the wiring to an outbuilding and reconfigure the wiring in my garage. That work was largely completed Friday - waiting on a part to finish up a couple aspects, but I'm happy with this work as well. I would use their services again, and I would recommend to others.
