Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with. Chewy, Annabelle and Chris at the Mansfield Tx store were amazing, very helpful and tried to do what was within their job descriptions to help but, F&D policies, process and procedure are not consumer friendly, not consistent with what is stated, promoted on their website consistentl. To make a king story short, they found the "discontinued" flooring in three (3) different states, $450.00 for the flooring, and shipped BECAUSE THEY DON'T SHIP... charged $450 per store for over $1,200.00 for Shipping. Highway robbery and raping their customer. I ONLY did so to save time. However, I still need flooring for four (4) other rooms and F&D manager would rather loose money, approximately $2,000 or more in sales, than expense the freight. Hell, they didn't bother to send the product back to main warehouse to ship to a store. Want that money... bottom line, they lost money. Absolutely outstanding service from Legacy Plumbing!…read more I had what I thought was going to be a simple toilet repair, but it turned out the toilet itself needed to be replaced due to some poor craftsmanship from previous companies. The last homeowner had a cheap toilet installed, which created more problems than expected. Jake was fantastic throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain my options, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what I was paying for rather than just pushing me toward the most expensive solution. What really impressed me was that Jake worked the cost of the work they had already completed into the replacement toilet, which saved me a significant amount of money. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the service and the unexpected issue we ran into. Extremely disappointed with Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington…read more My experience with Five Star Bath Solutions has gone from being very positive to extremely frustrating. When we initially had our bathroom remodeled, everything seemed great. We were happy with the finished product and had no complaints about the installation. Unfortunately, about four months after the remodel, we started noticing mold growing in and underneath the caulk along the entire bottom perimeter of the shower, where the walls meet the shower base. This is especially concerning because this is a brand-new bathroom installation. The caulk is still firmly attached, yet mold is appearing underneath and throughout the bottom seam. At the very least, I expect Five Star to come out, inspect the installation, determine what is causing the problem, and properly correct it. The worst part of this experience has been the complete lack of customer service after the sale. I have called the Arlington location multiple times asking for someone to come out and inspect the issue under the warranty. I have not been given an appointment or even received a meaningful response. I also contacted the company's national customer-service/sales line, only to be told that all they could do was send another message to the Arlington office. I then sent a formal written warranty request by email, and I still received no response. That is unacceptable. Five Star advertises a lifetime warranty and emphasizes that its warranty is locally serviced. When you spend a significant amount of money on a professionally installed bathroom, you shouldn't have to repeatedly call, email, and chase the company down just to get someone to acknowledge a problem only four months after installation. I am extremely disappointed--not necessarily because something went wrong, because problems can happen with any installation, but because Five Star has shown virtually no urgency or accountability in addressing the problem. I sincerely hope someone eventually takes responsibility and comes out to inspect and properly resolve this. If they do, I will gladly update this review to reflect how the situation was handled. For now, however, I cannot recommend Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington based on my experience with their post-installation warranty service and customer support.
