There were no surprise extra charges and he finished on budget and within the promised timeframe, even though I had him do a completely unrelated garage window replacement in the middle of the job! We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. We love the results, and several people have commented that the addition looks like it should have been there all along. We can't recommend Wise Choice highly enough!

We completely gutted the den, evened the floors, put in radiant floor heating, sealed off the small door to the patio and put in sliding glass doors, and completely reconfigured the laundry/half bath/water heater space! And, very importantly, he did an absolutely gorgeous job. His company is smaller, which means less overhead and, in my experience, very client-focused and driven to excellence. From the beginning Sam was very communicative and throughout the process was available to talk through any questions/ideas/concerns I had. In the end, he stuck close to his initial estimates (the few additional costs had been flagged and discussed with and agreed upon by me before they were incurred), and completed the work well within the initial timeframe. While that was an unwelcome surprise, I felt extremely fortunate that Corneliu was the one who discovered and ultimately fixed the problem. This issue was neglected by another contractor who had done siding work previously for me. Corneliu fixed everything the RIGHT WAY at a very fair price and worked as late as 7:30pm, long after the sun had gone down, to ensure everything was done before the next storm rolled in. I'll be hiring Corneliu for a bathroom remodel later this year and anything else that may come up!

We wanted a door installed in the interior of our home. Cornel arrived, measured the space, explained the different styles, asking what we'd like. Then he went to the hardware store himself, took photos of all of the options that fit our criteria, and texted us the options so we could choose, saving me time from having to go to the store myself. He also went above and beyond by offering to fix the opposite side of the door frame, which was ugly before the project started. We didn't even think it was an option to fix that. Cornel installed the door, painted it, and fixed the trim on both sides, on the same day. The final result is absolutely perfect. It's beautiful, and the quality is stellar. We will certainly be using Smart Construction again in the future for home projects that we can't do ourselves.

Cuong is the best, seriously: very reasonable pricing, extremely hard-working, honest, dependable, fair - I didn't realize contractors like this exist. I almost made a huge mistake and passed on Cuong originally because it didn't seem like he could deliver on what he quoted (he was so much more reasonable than other contractors), and he is very unassuming: quiet, no pressure, fast and easy - - so I thought there must be something off. Man, am I glad that about a year later when we circled back on our ADU remodel, Cuong was still willing to work with us (even when other contractors we originally consulted with bailed, or didn't even have the courtesy to respond). Again, he was so nonchalant about his ability to do the work that I had my doubts, but he immediately proved us wrong - to say the least. Cuong got to work right away. In the space of just a couple months he transformed our ADU from a dated and ugly, unusable space, into an amazing little home, which we furnished and rent now. I was (and am) incredibly impressed by Cuong. He is not someone you need to press to do the right thing. He is independently motivated to do the job the right way, and to work efficiently. He would ask to work weekends just to stay on schedule; he would pick up materials for us; and he was flexible and available when we needed him. *Note that the only thing he doesn't really do is design. He will consult on small things, like where to put outlets, or how a door should open, but I would not expect him to design and build. Provided you have your design and vision though, the man can execute. It is a pleasure to write this review and to share our experience, and I think our results speak for themselves (which I've posted before and after photos of). I wish Cuong and NCC all the best; although I'm sure we'll be seeing them soon on some of our many projects :)

They were very professional and informative through the whole project. They made a mistake and took ownership of it and came back out to repair it (needed 1-2 more hole vents in my eaves). More so, a couple years later, when I was getting chimney work done, it was noted I had a leak along my chimney. I contacted NP exeriors, they came out to look and had the issue corrected within a few days.

We feel blessed to have found Pacific Northwest Carpentry, Inc. for our home remodel just completed by Pete Beavers and his team. From the bid to completion there were no surprises and we felt they genuinely cared about us, what we wanted, and we were extremely comfortable having them in our home . . . many times unaccompanied. We were kept in the loop every step of the way when a decision needed to be made or a preference identified that would make the job "just right". The remodel work involved demolition of our existing, dated kitchen and dining room - cabinets, appliances, flooring, replacing window and two kitchen walls - gone! When the new cabinets, fixtures and appliances arrived, everything was planned, scheduled and installed precisely to our expectations, and each day our home was left clean before the crew departed. Pete even came on Christmas Eve to ensure we had the new Kitchen Sink, running water and a Range through the holidays! We were always in a position we knew everything happening. We were given realistic time frame of the complete kitchen remodel. Pete's time frame was met perfectly. Pete gave us a quote and never added any "extras" or "additions". In fact the opposite. On a couple occasions Pete had his crew go over and above the agreed on quote. Kenny is a true professional in his flooring workmanship. The time and effort spent on our dining room floor to meet our needs exactly was greatly appreciated. Pete's crew was always on time. He mentioned his pricing might be a bit higher, but his work would reflect that--and it absolutely did. He helped me shop for materials, and once the doors arrived, he showed up right on time and got to work. The result was beautiful. He even installed the hardware and doorstops. A few days later (6/8/25), he came back to sand and paint the doors--and they look stunning. My wife was so pleased, she moved in that same day. I'm truly a happy customer. Impressed by his work, I hired him again on 6/10/25 to replace the roof on my front porch. He discovered significant rot, replaced everything, waterproofed the new roof, and cleaned up thoroughly. Well Eddie had excellent customer service skills and communication with him was stellar! I needed to fix the floor in our bathroom because the people who sold it to us had hid rot that existed in the bathroom floor and was covered up. I was going to replace the sub-flooring and retile the bathroom myself till I found that little gem. I felt it could possibly be hiding more than I felt capable of handling. So I had reached out to Eddie and he gave us a real decent quote that worked with our budget. Not only that but he and his team were able to use the tiles I had already purchased; they were very flexible and I appreciated that so much. When the job was done the bathroom looked AMAZING!! On the first day of the project, I had a few concerns, and Dmytro came out right away to address them. He took the time to explain everything, and I immediately felt confident we were in good hands.
