The workmanship of the…read morefinished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Scubbed, sanded, stained and the best taping job I have ever seen to protect my plants and house. Not the cheapest quote but, you get what you pay for and we are thrilled. He also patiently worked with us to help decide which composite to use for the staircase surface. Wasili then send us a very fair bid. After he sent us photos of other houses for which he did similar work, we accepted his bid. Wasili came out to our house the very next day, dropping supplies off and starting demo. When he did that, he also went above and beyond. He suggested two upgrades to the work he bid on, offering for free to provide am additional cross-brace and to use composite for the risers as well. Naturally we accepted the upgrades. He got the work completed in 2 1/2 days. Everyone who's seen the work has complimented it. If we have future projects, we'll reach out to Vertex first.

After getting several bids, I went with Vitaliy (owner) and his team. Here's why: - Vitaliy was exceptionally clear, punctual, and spoke in facts (he was not at all sales-y). - He did what he said he'd do (call me back, or prepare an estimate) when he said he'd do it. From the first interaction, it was clear he has high integrity. - Vitaliy noticed critical details (such as the fact that none of my windows had flashing!) that nobody else documented in quotes or discussed with me. - And, his responses to my questions were patient and thorough. Vitaliy helped me understand all the aspects of the project and design choices, which helped me feel confident and supported. And then the work began! - Slavic and Alex were assigned to my project and wow - they are exceptionally skilled and hard working! - Slavic and Alex have great attention to detail. The siding work is very precise and they made simple and beautiful enhancements along the way (like swapping out old and poorly installed vents). - Rot was discovered under a stairway off my kitchen, and I decided to have the staircase rebuilt. It is beautiful. They even noticed that the original staircase had a weird drop off from the interior floor and corrected that so there's now a seamless landing that is much safer and easier to use. The work Slavic and Alex did on this part of the build is as high quality as their siding work. - The work site was always SUPER tidy. Slavic and Alex took great care to clean up as they worked, paid attention to simple details like ensuring nails were picked up and that hose covers were back on (winter months), and they were very respectful of the driveway which I share with my neighbors. - Throughout the installation, Vitaliy kept me updated via text, phone calls, and site visits. I always knew where things stood and what degree of rot was uncovered (or not) at the end of a demolition day. The level and consistency of communication was outstanding. This is the biggest home project I have ever tackled, and it was by far the easiest. And that is because of Vitaliy, Slavic, and Alex. Their communication and the quality of their work is exceptional. Hire these folks!

Review We had a…read moresection of rotten siding and a sill plate uncovered that was supporting our garage wall and potentially posed a structural concern, since the wall was also retaining part of the roof. The Rot Doctor did an excellent job from start to finish. They carefully removed the rotten siding, boards, and supports while temporarily supporting the wall, then installed a new pressure-treated sill, water-resistant siding, flashing, and belly band, with everything properly caulked and sealed. The workmanship was very high quality. All the cuts were precise, with clean lines, no gaps, and everything felt sturdy and well-built. They also went above and beyond by replacing and reinforcing some warped supports that weren't originally part of the scope. They were experienced and clearly knew how to approach the job, and they were great to work with throughout. Communication and customer service were excellent--we were able to discuss the work as it progressed and adjust the scope when needed. They were punctual, worked efficiently, and completed the entire job in just three days. The pricing was also competitive. Overall, we're very satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend The Rot Doctor.

Orca was NOT the cheapest option nor the most expensive option, they ended up being middle of the road. I decided to go with them because Chris was VERY THOROUGH and explained EVERYTHING to me. The crew came out and knocked it out of the park, literally took them 2.5 days and it was done. This was back in June 2025, we are currently in the heart of winter and have had some serious rainy days and EVERYTHING's been GREAT, NO LEAKS, NO ISSUES! Fast forward to February 2026, I was so impressed by their service and workmanship I called them when the roof at my own house started to leak. (The leak was NOT because of age but the shotty workmanship from our builder Connor Homes.) I spoke to Chris again and he set me up with Peter. Peter and crew came out and temporarily covered my roof until they are able to get me in the books. Peter and crew came back in about a week and took care of my roof. The entire process took about 2 days and literally 3 days after they were done we had a crazy rain storm. Once again, NO LEAKS, NO ISSUES. Orca Roofing is 2 for 2 with me, priced right and took care of my roof issues. There are not too many trustworthy businesses these days but I can honestly vouch for these guys. Thank you for taking care of my roof issues and now I can actually sleep at night.

After getting a few quotes for our deck project, Heilman Deck & Fence really stood out. Andy came…read moreby and actually walked me through the whole process -- not just what he'd do, but why he'd do it a certain way. He explained where it made sense to invest a little more and where we could cut back without sacrificing quality. No pushy sales pitch, no checkbox quoting -- just someone who clearly knows his craft and cares about doing the job right. I had done some research ahead of time and knew my existing deck had a structural quirk that would matter during the rebuild -- Andy was the only one of the three contractors who caught it. That made the decision easy. His quote wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, but it was fair and came backed with great reviews and a clean WA contractor's license (which, shockingly, not all of them had). That sealed the deal for us. We ended up completely rebuilding two decks using TimberTech PVC -- a smaller 10'x10' one, and a 26'x12' deck that's 20 feet in the air with two staircases and a landing. The whole project took about 3.5 weeks from demo to final touches. Andy's CAD drawings were spot-on. When surprises came up (like discovering the house's floor joists ran in the opposite direction), Andy just handled it -- added a beam, footings, and posts without delay or extra cost. Same deal with a couple small punch list items at the end (a dinged downspout, some siding, trim details). No fuss, no runaround -- his crew just showed up and made it right. The build crew was great to work with -- friendly, respectful, and meticulous. They kept the site clean and were clearly proud of their work. You could see it in the precision of the cuts and the fact that everything was perfectly straight, square, and level. Even the more delicate custom cuts -- like a half rip-cut board to fit under the house -- were nailed with crazy accuracy making it look like the boards extend under the house. Bottom line -- I'd 100% recommend Andy and his team at Heilman to anyone in the Seattle/Eastside area. If I ever need more deck or fence work (though this deck will probably outlive me), I won't even bother getting other quotes. These guys are the real deal.

Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

They were willing to manage a lot more of the work than other companies at a similar price point, instead of me hiring a separate landscaper. Louis, Oscar and the others in the crew then came out and did the work. They were courteous and polite the entire time, including working with my neighbour and I on placement and other details. There were a few questions they had, due to the contours of the property, which I appreciate them confirming with me vs just doing what they felt was right. This wasn't something that could be noted in advance, as they had to blaze through bushes/trees first and led to an outcome we were pleased with. They appeared to have cleaned well and we're happy with the installation, gates and communication.

Update on August 6th here since I can't reply to the owner's response directly…read more Paulo's response is unfortunately utterly lies. 1) We have email and phone records showing you made one call to us during the project onsite, not "multiple efforts" as you mentioned. We had never "declined to engage with your team during the process". Your company, on the other hand, disengaged when asked to discuss the fence issues. Attached an email evidence show your crew failed to respond to our requests. 2) It was on a busy work day for us when your crew was onsite. We had zero expectation that we would be needed onsite, given that we had already laid out the expectations in the contract after the initial consultation. If anyone thinks about hiring this company, please look at Paulo's response to me, and prepare to take time off to make sure to supervise their crew for them. 3) Your attorney Olsen made it clear to us that he was not interested in further litigating for you on the case. At no point our attorney dis-engaged. Again there are also phone and email records. This is reaching even a lower point with plain lies to deceive future customers.

When I started working with Lior, he told me that he usually gets two types of projects. One type is easy - where the project goes as planned, with no surprises. Then there's the other type of project, where there are challenges, and Lior gets to learn and make his business better. My project, as you can guess, was one of the latter. I have a particularly unique house. At every turn, we had difficulties - some of them were with my house itself, and others were with the sub-contractors. I won't give a laundry list of all the challenges we worked through together. That wouldn't be the point. What I want to say is that through it all, Lior worked tirelessly to correct every serious issue that came up, and he was a faithful partner through all of it. I would hire him again. The whole story - As to the nature of the work, it started with a leak - my master bathroom was dripping water into my living room. Ultimately, we discovered that the shower pan had been constructed incorrectly, and the leak had probably been happening since the house was built in 1980. We ended up removing the bathtub, removing the rotted wood by the shower, reinforcing the wood, and remodeling and retiling half my bathroom. I'm pleased to say that the tile experts that Lior hired were able to match the remaining tile very well. I also hired Lior to fix my front porch. It had separated from the house, and water had been getting in all around, rotting quite a lot of wood and supporting colonies of ants. The contractors removed the ants and the rotted wood, and reinforced the remaining structure. They thoroughly sealed the exterior so my house is not getting wet again, and rebuilt the porch. They treated the porch's wood frame so it won't rot, and tiled it over so it looks way better than it used to. I do want to mention the biggest issues we had, because Lior went out of his way to fix them. When the contractors working on my bathroom accidentally flooded my living room, Lior hired plumbers to repair the new leak and other plumbing problems it caused. And, since the water had warped my wood living room floor, he also paid to have the floor resurfaced. And then when the floor resurfacers got wood dust everywhere, Lior hired a cleaning service to take care of that as well. Also, when my new tile porch started pooling rainwater instead of shedding it, Lior had the tile redone so that it works. So, I can say with proof, if any of the subcontractors Lior hires make any mistakes with your project, Lior will work quickly and tirelessly to fix it. read more

This spring, we worked with Lior and LYD Construction for a remodel of our kitchen and bathrooms, along with other home improvement projects. We couldn't be happier with the results. From the first conversation to the completion, the experience was nothing but positive. Throughout the project, Lior was always prompt in responding to our inquiries and kept us posted on progress made throughout the process, which was critically important as we live out-of-the-area and were having the work done to our second home. I am so very pleased with my new bathroom by LYD. My house is almost 100 years old and has been through a LOT of DIY mistakes. LYD took everything down to the studs repairing a surprising amount of hidden issues, making everything new, functioning and exactly what I wanted. I purchased the materials with their guidance and specifications so there was no mark-up which really helped to keep costs down while also making sure I got the tile and fixtures I wanted. Other companies required full design services and said what I wanted would cost at least twice as much or they didn't bother to ever call me back. As a facilities and project manager in my professional life, I have a lot of experience with contractors and the team I worked with at LYD Construction did a fantastic job while also having their hearts in the right place. For anyone looking for remodeling help, make sure you are clear about what your priorities are, put everything in writing so you and your contractor always have something to refer to and make sure you have the same understandings, and make sure this company is one of the ones you interview for your project. read more

Although Lior's bid was not the first for my remodel, he was the first to do more -- Way more -- than toss out an estimate and talk about scheduling. He peppered me with relevant questions and listened carefully to my responses. Lior heard my requirement for Light. He suggested skylights instead of the external wall changes I had imagined. He climbed up into my attic to inspect its structure, then assured me that skylights were possible. I reached out on Yelp for a project regarding cost to vault a ceiling of a potential house I was considering to buy. Someone on the team said that they could come at 11am for a site visit. I asked once again on Yelp to confirm they were coming. I had heard that I would need advice from a structural engineer, and they said yes. Then, I called them directly again, to verify if the manager would be able to speak on the structural feasibility of the project. After calling the manager's number provided by the receptionist multiple times, there was no answer - maybe he was on the job. However, when my husband called AD Master again, he was able to reach someone and when he asked about the site visit, they said they didn't have our appointment on the books. We had to schedule once again on the phone. Long story short, someone did come (at 10am, not the agreed time) and they thought they were there for a deck repair. To be honest, he just seemed uncomfortable to have showed up to the wrong job site and didn't contribute much - no estimate of cost or work was shared by him. I liked the quality of work I saw on the photos, but would not likely hire them due to the poor communication so far. Edit response to AD Master: After speaking with your customer service agent, Viky, she shared that many of your employees do not speak English as a first language, causing the miscommunications. I am glad you are taking this seriously moving forward to improve the experience for future customers. As a result, I will raise my review to 3 stars. Disappointing experience with their scheduling process…read more I had been seeing their ads on Facebook and reached out for an estimate to build a deck. During the initial call, I explained that we were ready to move forward soon, assuming we could agree on pricing. I also casually mentioned that my husband was currently on a work trip and that we would make a final decision within about a week. The scheduler responded by asking if we could postpone the estimate until all "homeowners" were available at home because there would otherwise be too much back-and-forth. I found this to be an odd requirement for a simple estimate appointment and said so. The response was that there would be "a lot of back and forth." That explanation didn't sit well with me. For a project worth tens of thousands of dollars, it felt unreasonable to suggest that an initial estimate couldn't proceed because one spouse was away. Whether intentional or not, the interaction came across as dismissive and left me feeling like they were unwilling to work with me directly during the early stages of the process. At that point, I asked them to end the call and not contact me again.

Simon was one of two contractors who offered bids within our budget. 2) Simon spent a full hour exploring the space and asking questions. All other bids completed only a cursory look of the space, and failed to notice details that needed consideration. Simon also said that estimate would take a couple of days to fine tune (versus other contractors who seemed to just throw out a number). 3) Simon immediately came across as a person with integrity and good communication skills.
