    Farmers Breakfast with German Sausage
    Kishi M.

Came here after reading a lot of good reviews.. Was seated promptly by the hostess and the ambience was comfortable... Ordered the Farmers Breakfast with German Sausage, Eggs over easy, Rye Bread and Potato Wedges along with Coffee.. Coffee was cold, asked for heated cream and never got it so used the small half-n-half cold cups that came with the coffee Eggs weren't over easy as requested but the German Sausage was cooked well, toast was soggy and the potato wedges were seasoned well but not crisp at all... Asked for a fresh cup of hot coffee and did get it but it still wasn't hot enough... The staff wasn't as prompt or attentive as one would have liked... They do have an extensive menu so will come back here and try other dishes ...

Pretty good place to stop in for a quick bite. Pancakes were really good. I feel like we got a good amount of food for the price. Nice staff and quick service.

Had a breakfast earlier and was happy. The place was a bit busy but we were able to get a table right away. Serving time is a bit longer but was happy with overall taste of our food. The shredded hashbrowns was a winner. I love that its crispy outside and moist inside. Staff are friendly attentive with our needs. Will definitely go back here.

We went in to buy a whole pie, and they told us that we "could not buy a whole pie because we have to save some for our customers", so what does that make us?? But they said we could buy slices of pies only. So we bought 6 sliced pies, which is a whole pie. But we had to pay $36 worth of SLICED pies instead of $22 WHOLE pie. The important thing is that we went in there to buy a whole pie in slices... As customers or non customers?? I don't even know.

We stopped into this 'Home' on a recent Sunday morning - seeking an early-am breakfast, on a trip which was to eventually take us east, and into Manning Provincial Park. The restaurant was not far from home, and conveniently-located on the route we had chosen for the first part of our trip. We pulled into their parking lot about 8 am. Good, friendly, and cordial service from entry-to-leaving. And for us, a menu that offered some decent choices - just what we wanted, some solid breakfast 'basics', and not a lot of 'extras' we did not want to include. Mom went with the 'Senior's Bacon and Egg' (one scrambled egg, two slices of bacon, with shredded hashbrown potatoes, and slice of rye toast) -- daughter and I each ordered an 'Eggs Only Breakfast' (two scrambled eggs, shredded hashbrown potatoes, sourdough toast for her, and rye toast for me). Perfectly-sized portions, nice and hot from the kitchen, and very well-prepared ingredients. In and out in rather short order, after much-enjoyed breakfast meals -- feeling refreshed, and ready to head away for a few days in the mountains.

Great home cooking - in a nice family atmosphere. Be sure to check out the home made pies.

Went there on Family Day, service was great but the food was sub par and for the prices where nuts for the mediocre so called home cooking.

1 Star -- Discriminatory and Hostile Toward Disabled Patrons…read more My experience at Gratia Café was deeply upsetting and reflects a profound lack of understanding of -- or respect for -- disability rights. I am a disabled individual who relies on a legitimate, clearly identifiable service dog. Rather than being treated with basic courtesy and professionalism, I was subjected to hostile behavior, scrutiny, and exclusionary conduct that made it unmistakably clear I was not welcome. Staff acted as though they were entitled to question or challenge the presence of a service dog, despite the fact that this is explicitly prohibited under British Columbia human rights law. Let me be very clear: Businesses do not get to interrogate disabled patrons, demand explanations of medical need, or treat service dogs as optional accommodations. A service dog is not a pet, and access is not conditional on staff approval, comfort, or personal beliefs. What made this experience particularly distressing was the demeaning tone and dismissive attitude shown throughout the interaction. Instead of de-escalation or accommodation, the situation was handled in a way that felt humiliating, stigmatizing, and discriminatory. Disabled people should never be made to feel like a problem simply for existing in public spaces with the supports they require. Accessibility is not a "preference" or a branding choice -- it is a legal and ethical obligation. Until Gratia Café undertakes serious staff training on disability rights, service animals, and inclusive customer service, I cannot recommend this establishment to disabled patrons or allies. This experience was not just disappointing -- it was unacceptable.

Gratia is our go to for coffee and breakfast when we're in town. Staff is friendly and the line…read more(when there is one), moves swiftly. Their pastries are amazing, love their pistachio croissants with chocolate, and their pot pie, and Benny's. Great bagels and breakfasts also. In the afternoon it s a nice quiet place to work (free WiFi) or recharge over a quiet coffee and snack.
