    Tuscan chicken Benny
    Samantha W.

My friend recommended we try this place while in town and we were not disappointed at all. Absolutely delicious! We ordered from the yelp popular item list: Tuscan chicken Benny, chicken n waffles, seafood cream pasta. Tuscan chicken Benny was insanely delicious. The savory fried chicken with it, super good, juicy, nice crunch. Hollandaise was delish. A really great savoury breakfast. The chicken n waffles - it also came with fried chicken but the dish had totally different flavors and was also very delicious. The seafood cream pasta. Peppery, flavorful, rich, yummy. We shared everything so all 3 dishes gave us the perfect mix of sweet, savory, creamy, crunchy, breakfast/brunch/lunch. Service was very friendly. The only thing I'd say is: their ventilation system needs a serious upgrade or repair because as soon as you walk in the oily smell is incredibly strong so just know that your jacket, clothes, hair etc will smell oily for essentially the rest of the day.

The staff was friendly in particular since the kitchen was backed up from orders, showing the success of the restaurant. When the food arrived it was worth it. I had the pancakes and they were well seasoned with maple syrup and was puffy. The ambience was lively while being cozy. A wonderful spot to chat and start off your morning.

My family and I love the brunch here. Although we don't live in Coquitlam, we come all the way here for brunch. The portion, quality and presentation of the brunches are excellent here. It's affordable as well. The ones we have in Vancouver or other cities are a bit more pricey and the portion is smaller for sure. The service here is great. The servers speak Korean. We are surprised that a Korean running breakfast or brunch restaurant runs well and beats others lol many customers with different ethnicities would come here for brunch. I wish I could come here once a week to enjoy their breakfast. There are free street parking and a free parking lot near by, so don't worry about parking in the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend others to come here for breakfast or brunch. They don't take reservation but waiting in line is not too bad. I came here a few times. The waiting time was not bad.

Went for breakfast with the wife. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and breakfast. Place is quiet, clean and great atmosphere. Lots of beautiful decoration and the service is excellent! Great selection of food and the food is amazing! Will definitely come here again. Open for breakfast and lunch.

Loved the bulgogi benny. It was a unique menu item that I never saw before, so I had to try it. We went right at open, but the restaurant gets busy very quickly, so expect wait times. Service was very attentive, and good came out quickly. Highly recommend!

Had brunch at his location we're very happy with our visit. The place was very busy but waiting time to get a table is less than 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and checked your table needs. The place was a bit small and smokey but very clean. Foods we've ordered were very good especially the shredded hash brown. I like that they're a bit crispy outside. I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back here.

Mmm.... On the way back home we were hungry for some brunch and found this cute place in downtown PoCo.... Korean fusion brunch. I was really tempted to have the stone hot pot (bi bim bap) but decided on the chicken and waffles. Wow what an awesome choice. The chicken is crispy yet still juicy and the batter is slightly sweet. Great texture and flavour. The waffles are just delicious and the egg on top just the perfect extra flair. And it is a huge meal - very very filling. My son had the Tuscan Benedict with the same yummy fried chicken. My kids already asking about going back!! :)

I loved this! The chicken was so juicy and i loved how it tasted with the maple syrup. The waffles were also crispy and chewy. It was a really good waffle and not just something from the freezer! The only critique i have is that i wish you could pour the syrup yourself so you can choose how sweet you want it. Highly highly recommend

Chicken N Waffle is the iconic comfort food dish in the brunch. Jimmy's Lunch Box makes it a Korean fusion twist by adding a sunny egg, pickled cabbage, and spring onion. The chicken thigh was tender, and it was not overly greasy. The Homemade Belgian waffle was super thick and fluffy. It was heavenly delicious! The SP breakfast is a classic dish. It contains sunny side-up eggs, crispy bacon, hash browns, crispy bacon, and pan-fried toast. A leisurely dish is really for a good brunch. All the above factors definitely could be the reason why it always is a great brunch spot in POCO. Amazing brunch at a very reasonable price! We can't wait to go back again. Jimmy's Lunch Box is located at 2652 Shaughnessy Street in Port Coquitlam. They serve a variety of sweet and savoury meals. You gotta check out this hidden gem if you haven't tried it yet. This little restaurant in PoCo is earning the reputation as one of the best go to brunch locations in the Tri-cities. I feel it is well earned by the good food, creative menu, decent portions and good service. Although the restaurant is small, it has a very good vibe. Our group ordered the Tuscan Chicken Benny 5/5, Bacon, sausage, mushroom and cheese omelette 5/5, waffle and fruit 5/5 and California Bunny 4/5. The only one thing I wish they give more was the shredded hash browns. Portion was on the small size. If they can increase seating capacity would be great too. Hope to try the rest of the menu sometime soon.

We stopped by for brunch over the weekend. It was almost an hour wait before we were seated. Please remember you need to write your name down to place your spot. The server will call you when your table is ready. We ordered the Denver Skillet, Tuscan Chicken Benny, kid's meal, fruit bowl and orange juice. Food arrived after about 20 minutes. The food itself was super tasty. I picked hashbrowns for the skillet and it was shredded potatoes with onion. The scrambled eggs and sourdough toast was a great combination. I took a bite of the Tuscan Chicken Benny and it was fried chicken perfection with a runny egg and hollandaise sauce. The pan fried potato had a lot of fresh garlic mixed in. The kids meal was more than enough food to feed a small child. We picked scrambled eggs, pancake and sausage. The fruit bowl had a good selection of fruit. Staff stopped by regularly to check in and clear plates. Service was friendly. Be prepared for the wait if you plan to stop by. We showed up just after 10 am and still had to wait before the peak lunch rush.

Probably unpopular opinion but this place is just okay. We had to wait 25 min during lunch time. I've already been here a few times since Covid and they've always been busy. The food is just okay. Nothing really pops out at me and I wouldn't come back here if it wasn't for my bf and his mom who adore this place. The staff are really nice though and they serve all day breakfast.

There was not a page for this JLB in Port Coquitlam, instead of misplacing my review else where decided to create a page for them. (Info is based on their Facebook page.) This joint is located on Shaughnessy Street at the entry of Port Coquitlam. As soon we stepped inside the restaurant, we realized we have entered a Korean run breakfast/brunch joint. Food-wise, the flavour is clearly Korean style of USA southern comfort food. We had the chaffles (fried chicken and waffles) and the steak and eggs. The chicken was delicious but the taste was overpowered by the syrup of the waffles they poured on. There isn't enough savoury to break the flavour fatigue of the waffles drowning in maple syrup. The steak and egg was much better. The steak (smallish 4-6 oz) cooked medium had decent amount of charring, was tasty but tiny. The steak rested on what appears to be a fried flatten rice ball which was crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. Along a sunny sided egg on a slab of tofu and some greens. No complaints there. Overall the food was alright. The chaffles were nowhere nearly as tasty as Screen Door's from Portland. The steak and egg was delicious. The offerings were heathy and fresh tasting but on the pricier side of things.

The menu had a good selection and the servers try to offer drinks and fruit bowl upgrades. The PurWestern Omelette ($19.75) was pretty over done so not for my liking. The Canadian Breakfast ($20.75) was pretty tasty with 2 eggs, 3 Bacon, 1 breakfast sausage and ham and I chose the half waffle, cubed potatoes, fruit plus toast. The waffle tasted great but the ham was very thin. The restaurant was busy and loud but food didn't take long. They have high chairs and a kids menu but no plastic cutlery and small bowls for kids.

The eggs were some of the orangest, most vibrant yolks I've ever seen (a sign of quality, for sure), and they were perfectly poached. The cheeseburger patty underneath was super flavorful--well-seasoned, juicy, and honestly just worked so well with the hollandaise. It's a bold dish and they absolutely nailed it. The quality of everything stood out--fresh ingredients, great flavor, and a presentation that actually made me pause before digging in. Inside, the restaurant is gorgeous--bright, clean, and stylish without trying too hard. The vibe was relaxed but modern, and it's the kind of place you could bring a friend for a casual breakfast or stay and sip coffee for a while. Definitely a standout spot. Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.
