This hotel is a new hotel in Aiken that recently opened in 2026. A beautiful hotel! Well designed and appointed. I stayed in a standard king room, and was so much space, felt like a 2 room suite. I was so impressed by how many lighting options there are in the room, large work desk on wheels, sink, apartment size fridge, comfy sofa. Really well designed and comfortable bed. My only reason for the 2 star review is their pet policy. FYI to anyone, they allow pets in ANY room and no limit on pets. Felt like there were dogs everywhere. Constantly getting barked at, sharing an elevator, barking outside. Not peaceful at all. No joke, i found dog feces in the hallway twice. Unfortunately, its not the hotel, its the ignorant people that ruined my stay. People feeding their dogs from their table during breakfast! This hotel needs a pet policy or it will only be a people with dogs in the future and lose all other customers. I asked the front desk and they said they do not limit the number or the rooms people can have pets in. At the very least limit people traveling with animals to the first floor. read more

Wonderful Stay in Downtown Anderson! We stayed two nights at the Home2 Suites in downtown Anderson, SC during a recent visit with family. From the moment we arrived, Jaime at the front desk made us feel welcome with her friendly and professional service. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and offered a good variety of options each morning. The hotel's convenient location in historic Anderson made it easy to explore the area. Nice hotel in the downtown area. Free parking in the parking garage next to/behind the hotel. There is some limited handicapped parking just behind the hotel which isn't in the garage which is nice. The hotel was decently quiet...no highway noise or anything because the downtown area is small and quiet. The rooms are updated with plenty of outlets and USB ports. The pillows were awesome!!! As of late, we travel to this area a fair amount and I have been looking forward to this hotel opening. If you are familiar with this area, then you know there isn't much and most of the hotels are a little bit of a drive. Anderson is a nice place to visit, but with the lack of hotels in the area, it makes it hard on out-of-towners if they want to spend the night and enjoy an evening downtown without having to drive on the dark country roads to get wherever they/you need to go to spend the night. Putting a hotel like this in the downtown Anderson area has been a wonderful addition. This hotel is located in a great location and is within walking distance to things like quaint shops, restaurants, Wren Park, the Wren Scavenger Hunt, Church Heritage Plaza, Generator Park, art walk, and Wren Pavilion to name a few. There is not a restaurant in/at the hotel, but you have quite a few options extremely close. It is also a very safe area...especially since it is located right next to the police and fire departments. The rooms are very nice and spacious, and the common areas are large and accommodating. I like the rooms at the Home2 brand because there is a curtain divider between the bed side and the sofa side, which makes it very easy to have privacy. Breakfast is very good and the Home2 brand, in general, has a twist to the "common" hotel breakfast by providing sandwiches and breakfast bowls along with some of the more traditional hotel fare. My son loves the waffle topping choices the most! There is a free parking garage directly beside the hotel as well for guests. The entire staff is very kind. I'd like to give a shout-out to Dwayne (sales), Wendy (front desk), and Tracy (manager) for making us feel welcome and addressing our little issue (below). I'm sorry I didn't catch the names of everyone. I really enjoyed how friendly the housekeeping staff was especially (I like it when folks aren't afraid to chat in the elevator or in the halls). I suppose like any new hotel and/or business, they are experiencing their bumps in the road (for the lack of a better term). On our first night, we took cold showers due to no hot water, my son was the luckiest with getting a lukewarm shower earlier in the evening. I informed the front desk, but the maintenance man wasn't due in until the next morning and they thought it was just our room. No hot water when we got up either! We tried to change rooms, but there was no hot water in that room either, which means it wasn't just our room. The maintenance man showed up and corrected the issue...YAY...we finally got hot showers! Oddly enough, no other guests said anything and probably left upset. If this happens to you, just let them know and they will take care of it. After all, if you don't say anything, how do they know? The only con I have is the price of the hotel per night. Anderson is a cute little town, but I really don't get the price other than they can perhaps charge what they want since the next decent hotel is 20+ minutes away. I paid more per night to stay here than I did at the San Antonio, TX Riverwalk location, Huntsville, AL (near the U.S. Space & Rocket Center), and the Greenville, SC downtown location. Before they opened there was a much lower special if you booked early, but I never thought it would go up so much. Perhaps the higher cost is because it's new? There are a few other places to stay downtown depending on your desires, but this is the only chain...so maybe that's why??? I'm glad it's here, but the higher cost may deter folks and they won't mind making the drive to other hotels farther away to save money. The stay was decent but our room had a broken thermostat, dusty fans, and no housekeeping to bring more bathroom products. Additionally, we had a negative experience while getting snacks and drinks because they only take card. But my concerns are about the treatment of my daughter and family members after spending thousands of dollars at the property. We were surprised to learn that a late check out was denied though my daughter was a diamond member and had a large party. However, it was unacceptable for management to contact law enforcement to force our party out of the hotel after my daughter asked about their policies. I hated to see my daughter in tears out of poor treatment, and my granddaughter conducting meetings outside in the cold. I have never experienced this type of treatment in all of my years and travel experiences across the world and under the Hilton brand. This was so unfortunate and disappointing. I stayed here for 2 1/2 months after Hurricane Helene while my house was being rebuilt. The premier suites were exceptionally nice rooms especially if you had a long stay. That was the only positive to this hotel. The management and the employees were extremely rude. The GM Tracy was ok, wife of the District Manager so she's not going anywhere. She truly seems to dislike Hilton Honors diamond members. Hard to understand that! Assistant GM Spencer acted as if he hated his job and you were a bother to him if you even spoke to him. The front desk manager was the worst employee I've ever saw at any hotel must less a Hilton. I guess this attitude rolled down to the other employees even the maids. One maid speaking in spanish called my dnl a B@@&h not realizing she could speak spanish. You could walk by the front desk in the morning and say good morning and whoever was there wouldn't even speak They acted like you couldn't afford to stay there because insurance was paying that's what I first thought. Then I started watching how they treated other guest and they treated all guest poorly. I'm a diamond member and I stay at a Hilton six months out of the year and I have never had any other hotel have such poor customer service as this one had. I do want to say there were a couple of employees that worked at night that were very good. They were just having to work under such negative conditions. I moved to another Hilton and it was 360 degrees the other way. I wish I had of moved sooner. Everyone was great. Stay away from this hotel unless you like terrible customer service read more

After arranging our stay through booking.com, our travel plans had changed and we were arriving a day later than planned. We called ahead to make sure our room would still be available, and was told there would be no problem. Upon arrival booking.com had us listed as a no show and the Homewood suites staff worked with us to make everything right. Manager Crystal and front desk receptionist Trellis were awesome. They both called booking.com to get our money refunded and after an hour waiting to talk with someone, they were able to give us a room and get our money refunded from the said 3rd party. My stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton has been an impressive pleasure! Very clean, very accommodating, great parking, great breakfast, and something I'm very thankful for- being right across the street from the police station & fire station- great location! I have never left a review for any business but in this situation, WE WILL BE HEARD! Very upsetting, disgusting, and disgraceful stay at this racist location! We are diamond members with millions of points accumulated from years of our stays with Hilton and I have never experienced anything like the stay I had from March 10-13. We had a beautiful family gathering planned and it saddens me that it was tainted by a power driven, egotistical racist klan leader Tracy and other staff members. We have rented plenty of conference rooms with Hilton and have never paid more than $500, but we were charged $900 for a basic conference room and usually as diamond members we are offered something but that did not happen. Ok fine you go by the book whatever. On top of the conference room we had 7 rooms so we definitely spent a good amount of money at this establishment. The night before checking out we spoke to Andrew very nice gentleman and during our conversation he let us know they just had 56 rooms checked out so it had been a busy day. So the next morning, before checking out we call around 7:30AM to ask for a late checkout and usually they allow this especially for diamond members. However this morning was different the lady answered the phone quite irritated already and we asked for a late checkout. She first says no, with no explanation then later says they don't have the availability. At that moment, we mention the 56 rooms that Andrew had just told us about. A brief pause I'm assuming cause of shock due to the fact that we knew that she just continues to say no there is nothing available in a very rude manner. So it leads us to ask "is this anything race related?" Her exact response was "I don't care if you're black or white you now have 45 minutes to leave or you will be escorted out by the police." And hung up the phone. We proceed to go downstairs to deal with this in person. We ask on what grounds are you going to call the police on and Tracy says "because you called me a racist". 1) never did, we simply asked is this race related. 2) that is not grounds to call the police. We ask are you serious right now, all this because we just asked for an extra 2 hours for late checkout. Tracy later says, that we can stay but my mother had to be off the premises by 11am. She singles her out because my mother is asking questions and defending herself. Completely embarrassing and dehumanizing and this led my mother to tears out of complete frustration. And there are plenty of witnesses around, security footage as well as our cell phone footage. After getting nowhere with the entire staff and prideful Tracy standing on her 11AM get out the room rule, we go back to our rooms to start getting ready to leave. Now it is close to 11am and our entire group of about 15 BLACK people are in the lobby loading up the cars, we go ask for the receipts for our stay. After getting those for some reason our honors number was not attached to 2 of the rooms, so the employee has to get Tracy again. My mother lets Tracy know that we have a big group so we may need ti make multiple trips. At this point she tell us the rule is to not just be out the rooms by 11am but be completely out of the HOTEL! It was 50 degrees with an overcast that morning our group ranging in ages from 9 to 81. And she wanted us outside in the cold! After that she makes a discreet phone call which the footage shows and these 2 white men show up pretending to deliver some boxes, so I'm assuming that she called for some type of backup. Not one time did we ever raise our voices, call anyone out of their name, destroy any property. NOTHING! Simply asked is this "race related" and to call these gentlemen for backup was outrageous. It was just such a coincidence they happened to leave the same moment we did. We left that hotel at approximately 11:10AM. We have already spoken to Hilton and we are preparing for a class action lawsuit. To the staff members I pray that hate leaves your heart. We as black people have rights! read more

Our family event was ruined after the front desk staff (Traci) was rude and threatened to call the police on the family event organizer. she was asked about why none of our family was granted a late check out - we booked at 6-8 rooms!!! No one was rude to staff, but she (Traci) felt that she didn't have to explain herself and pushback with threats !!! Some of these family members are Diamond Hilton members and never experienced such ineptitude by hotel staff. I trust Hilton will rectify the apparent racism we experienced at this Hilton property!! read more

Rudest most condescending manager I have ever encountered,Lauren. I own a concrete placing company I travel through the south east and always stay at the Hilton chain I am a diamond member and was also on the friends and family program until I met Lauren I was a guest and had to extend my stay i made a reservation the previous night online and in the morning went down to the front desk to check in and I was rudely told there was no vacancy with a smirk she was clearly enjoying creating this misfortune for me and my guys (we had three rooms) when I clearly had the rooms reserved I asked for the manager and Lauren said she was the manager and can do whatever she pleases then she proceeded to cancel our reservations I just dealt with it and went somewhere else an hour away last minute after the horrible interaction I left her a bad review a few days later I guess she saw the review and decided to retaliate Since she had already checked me out of our rooms and didn't have my card on file to charge anymore she made a false claim against me to my family member which works for Hilton she said that He needed to take me out of the program and pay a cleaning fee of some sort which she completely manufactured Also threatened to have him fired if he did not pay the fee take down the review and ban us from the friends and family program So I contacted customer service and they absolutely did nothing about it they wanted to give me 10% off of my next stay to make it go away I am still outraged it is an abuse of her position and Hilton should not hire ppl like this to represent them read more

I would have given a 4 for the review because: 1. Andrew was so helpful, funny, attentive, and gracious throughout my stay. Perfect example of hospitality, in my opinion. 2. The venue for a birthday party was great! 3. The attendant on Saturday night/overnight was kind and helpful. The missing star was because the thermostat in our room was not working. Stuff like that happens. However, the score dropped significantly after witnessing the treatment of my family member, as well as being asked to leave the premises though I planned on getting some work done in the lobby. On my own trips and on trips with these family members (across various Hilton brands), I have never experienced this type.of mistreatment. When I came downstairs to check out I was surprised to find out that our party of about 14 people had to leave the premises because the manager, Traci, was afraid of conflict after my family asked for a late check out. As a well traveled person and scholar in Hospitality Leadership, I have a good sense of good customer service. Sometimes that means addressing conflict, especially when the customer is seeking answers in a calm, respectful way. Rarely is there a need to ask all guests to leave the premises, nor is there a need to call the cops because a customer questioned policies of a late check out. No guest needs to worry asking about policies. And, if there is a concern that race may be an issue, that should not be viewed as a conflict where cops need to be called. This experience caused unnecessary stress on my family, not to mention that my meetings had to be conducted outside in the cold because I needed a quiet space at the time we were leaving. This was too much! This was stressful! And it tainted my thoughts on my stay in Anderson as well as for the Hilton brand. Clearly, Andrew was great, but it's people like the manager, Traci, that have changed my experience. read more

This is a great location, especially if you're a parent of an AU student. Close to the school, Main Street shops and scooter rentals all over. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The included breakfast is quite good. A lot more than fruit coffee and toast. We will be back. read more

I like everything about this hotel x I could not sleep. The police station and fire station are directly across the street. The venting system is loud and cannot be turned off. I cannot sleep with noise all night! My co-worker in another room also has had difficulty sleeping at this hotel! Shocked as I stayed in a home2suites in Chicago that was fabulous! I think they took the cheap route with the heating/ ac system. I will not be back nor can I recommend this hotel for those reasons! read more
