Stayed for a week at this property, clean rooms and friendly front desk staff. They also offer underground garage parking which is a bonus in the winter time. When I made the reservation the Hilton site claimed the rooms had a Keurig coffee maker but when I got to the room it didn't have one. The front desk told me that they only had them on certain floors but when I asked them to get one for me they did. I'd stay her again. read more

My first (and likely last) Home2 experience. Have you ever noticed how a poor first impression will make every subsequent flaw seem that much worse? So it was with my recent stay at the Home2 Suites in Bloomington, MN. I tried to check in via the Hilton app but got neither a response nor a virtual key, so I went to the front desk where the front desk clerk, Natalie, was very helpful. She said that the app sometimes "seems to get overwhelmed" and gave me two keycards. Opening the door to my room on the top floor, I was greeted by a wave of hot, humid air. The thermostat was set to 65 but it was 75 in the room. I also noticed the footrest by the sofa, which was badly worn and had what looked like a cigarette burn. It could have been sitting on the side of a road with a "Free!" sign attached to it. Back down to the front desk where Natalie explained the thermostats were motion-activated ("more sustainable," she said) but told me how I could override that, which I did. After setting up my computer at the work station, I sat down into a task chair that was far too low to allow me to work comfortably. I thought an adjustment would fix things, but unfortunately it was already as high as it would go. Back down to the front desk where the clerk apologized, but said all their other task chairs were the same style, so it wasn't likely that changing out the chair would help. Sigh. Cranking out a little work before hitting the sack, I found two documents I wanted to print out, so I copied them to my thumb drive and headed down to the "business center," only to find that the hotel had put physical locks on each and every USB port. Again, the front desk clerk apologized but wasn't able to solve the issue for me. My work-around was to email the documents to myself and print them from my email but I really don't like the security risk of logging onto (and putting my passwords into) public computers; that's why I carry the USB drive. Another sigh. Morning came, along with a welcome a shower before breakfast. However, the water saving feature reduced the stream to little more than a trickle - a trickle I stood under far longer than if I'd had a robust stream of water that would have allowed me to be in and out quickly and still feel completely clean. Heading to the sink to brush my teeth, I spotted someone's hair in the sink. Long and black, I knew it wasn't mine. The included breakfast on the first day was the high point of my brief stay. Good selection of both hot and cold items, and a chance to see the other guests. That made it pretty clear that this hotel (and probably the Home2 brand) skews younger. And the way they label things around the hotel reflects that. Three cereal choices were labeled "Sweet," (Fruit Loops) "Heathier" (Raisin Bran) and "Healthiest!" (Granola) We can debate whether high-fat, high calorie granola is really healthier than raisin bran (especially when served with skim milk) but to me, the labels felt like a parent telling their child what's best for them. Maybe it's a generational thing, but I know enough to make - and own - my own choices. The location is convenient to lots of shops, stores and restaurants and not far from Highway 35W, so in all, it's probably fine if you're just on a vacation or only need to check a couple of emails at the end of the day but if you're a serious road warrior and often have to use the hotel as your de facto office, this one isn't the place you'll want to be. read more

Overall we had a nice stay, but on Sunday evening 12/28/25 around 7 pm, we went to the counter to inquire about more towels. He was on the phone, hung up and took another call. This went on for 15 minutes so we decided to leave. Never once did he acknowledge us. This gentleman is so rude and should maybe find another line of work. read more

I have stayed at this location, off and on, for about a total of 4 months (my business trips are about 30 days and I stayed here no less than 4 times). The good: - location - close to highway. shares parking lot with Fresh Thyme and multiple restaurants are only a few feet away. Other services are also next to the hotel (e.g. nail salon) - parking - if you can't find a good spot in the main parking lot (right outside the main door), there is more free parking in the underground parking garage, which I didn't realize existed until the tornado warning led us down to that safety area - security - the doors lock after a certain time and you'll need your key to enter. You'll also need your key to access the elevators and ride to any floor past the lobby level. The not so good: - cleanliness eludes the staff. Ants invaded my top floor on several visits (with no food or trash in my room). hair found in multiple places throughout the room. Stained furniture, etc. - breakfast is sad, especially for vegans. Expect nothing more than an apple, orange, or banana. You'd have better luck at the Fresh Thyme. After a few issues, I finally gave up on this location and moved elsewhere. read more

Nice room; breakfast area is a fiasco (only lightly stocked & VERY poor set-up/flow); 2nd floor lobby is a VERY strange lay-out with a HUGE open-ness to the lower level as soon as you step off the elevators! I love that this hotel is near the mall of America as well as the airport. The staff was extremely nice and the hotel was clean. Parking was somewhat easy. A rainstorm happened on my second day there and the concierge, let me borrow an umbrella. My only complaint is that there is no healthy food options nearby. The entire staff went over and above to ensure I was comfortable and housekeeping worked around my schedule since I worked in the hotel during day. It is very minimalist from the outside, sleek modern, no big "fanfare". The interior lobby is lovely, with a nice welcome area and lobby seating. My handicapped room was perfect! Spacious and easy to move around in, I was very comfortable there. I loved the large desk area, perfect for computer work. There was a large oval table that could be moved anywhere with lockable casters. I used it as a "return" addition to the desk area. The kitchenette was great. I loved the "almost home sized" fridge, as I found it so much more usable than those (useless) tiny little square ones. Having an empty shelf above the sink gave me "pantry space" for my groceries. The roll-in shower worked well for me. I'm not in a wheelchair yet, but climbing in and out of bathtubs is unsafe for me. It was an unexpected surprise to have the ability to pull a curtain hanging from the ceiling to separate my sleeping area from the sofa-TV area. IF I had visitors to my room, this would be a great feature. Or if I had a "roommate" who wanted to still watch TV after my own bedtime. The bed was very comfortable. The closet area had a nice perk of a curtain I could pull, so I didn't have to stare at my wardrobe all the time. Just some of the little things that made the room lovely. The views from this hotel are limited to exactly what I expected, urban views. I was not here looking for a resort, but a working trip. Extra perk: When I come back I can bring my pet, so I don't have to leave Miss Gracie home! Staff: Great. Each one I encountered were pleasant and helpful and kind. From the front desk personnel around the clock to the ladies who serviced the breakfast buffet, all were personable. The breakfast buffet: I never left hungry! Hot & cold cereals, breads, biscuits and muffins, fruit, yummy vanilla yogurt with a "toppings bar" of goodies, eggs, breakfast meats, and the proverbial waffles. I visited Minnesota recently after my daughter passed away. While there, we planned a family reception and get-together at a public park but soon learned rain was in the forecast. As it happens, Home2 has a very large lobby area with adjacent game room that can accommodate a large group. I asked about the space and they gave me a remarkably reasonable price on it. In addition, hotel managers and staff worked with the family to make the gathering very comfortable, private and peaceful. For this, I am so grateful. Stayed here as it was within walking distance to a friend's house. Great location as it's walkable to stores, restaurants, and a grocery store 50 steps away. The shuttle driver has so much great energy and really helpful. The room is spacious, though I wish they had a kitchen sponge to wash dishes and utensils. The wifi was super spotty, you constantly had to log back in. The breakfast wasn't very good, but at least they have a waffle maker and bagels/toast. The pre made omelet was not good and watery. There is a constant fan that runs throughout the day and not great for someone who is a light sleeper. read more

The hotel quality was overall very nice. We really liked our room and the kitchen was so nice to have in the room with a full fridge. They had a great full breakfast as well that we were able to take advantage of for a few mornings. The location was also nice being close to the highway/airport. However, there were some people hanging out around the hotel that weren't staying there and made it a little less homey. The staff was also a bit strange during our stay. The older lady working kept coming out to the community balcony to vape and talk on the phone about her boyfriend. It didn't make our time on the the balcony very relaxing. read more

We had a great stay here! This place is just like the sign implies, home away from home! The room has it all to sustain an extended visit. We were just looking for an overnight stay and had a free night coupon. I would certainly stay here for an extended stay visit, however the price is fairly reasonable at under $150/night you might want to just consider an overnighter. Place has a great location with a Red Robin built in. The place has all the conveniences, pool, fitness room and free breakfast. It is built in a mini neighborhood with a market and other stores nearby. Staff are very friendly and they have a speedy checkin. The lobby is located on the 2nd floor because of the building design and you need a guest key to get the elevator above that floor. read more

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here while in town. The room was spacious, clean and perfect for us. Several reasons we chose this hotel after comparing several: - Showers instead of tubs (I have a serious dislike of tub/shower curtain combos in a hotel) - The included breakfast sounded a bit better than most hotel offerings - The rooms looked nice based on the photos - The price was right I have to say - everything was up to expectation - except the breakfast. It was just like other hotels, in fact, less offerings than I've seen at others. And they stated something like 400 different breakfast combos - or something to that extent. We saw 2 different egg frittata offerings (western, and I think just cheese), waffles, cereal, yogurt, bread, coffee, oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. I think that was about it. I guess I thought there would be maybe 1 other warm offering - biscuits and gravy, or maybe some breakfast potatoes. Even so, we enjoyed our stay and was happy with a clean room, comfortable bed and ACTUAL FACTUAL SHOWER!!! :) read more

We arrived here around midnight. We were greeted with a friendly smile and very helpful person this is the only hotel chain that we stay with in and out of states. Very clean it was very Covid friendly. The friendly older gentleman was amazing at the door. The only thing that I did Nite like was that the breakfast was not available I totally understand Covid restrictions but they didn't even have the tiny cereal boxes available. We only got a muffin or a bagel. I did feel bad because I invited friends to come with us I was telling them how amazing the breakfast is at the home2suit chains. And we got a box to go with a muffin. It was so close to the mall and the shuttle was able to pick us up and drop us off. It was an amazing stay. Hilton and home 2 suites are our favorite read more

When we first arrived, we circled the building and couldn't locate the entrance, which it turned out to be just marked with the street number, not the name of the hotel. There's no place to park and unload near the entrance except a fire lane. The desk clerk said the parking was "shared" so we just had to find a spot in the adjacent lot that served multiple businesses and restaurants. The underground lot proved to be a good option with plenty of spaces. In the suite, furniture was shabby and upholstery was stained. Otherwise the place seemed clean. As common these days, no housekeeping except upon request. The bed was OK, but beth towels and washcloths were pretty thin. We weren't sure what to make of it, but the sound of heavy footfalls above us was almost constant. The gym was nicely equipped--the towels there were far better than those in our room! The photos show the backs of kitchen chairs and an extremely worn hassock. read more

I had some high hopes of this hotel before showing up and wasn't "disappointed" but wouldn't particularly seek out this location. The location is close to a lot of places to eat and shop but where you enter is a bit confusing, in the main parking lot without really seeing a clear "entrance". You go up one floor and then check in. When I came in there was an issue with someone who was checking in in front of me so it took a bit. The process was easy otherwise and I was going up to the 5th floor. The room is really quite large and probably better for a bigger family as I felt a bit small in such a big room. They have a kitchenette and a big fridge. You have to turn on the "main switch" to get everything going and the AC takes a while to get to what you actually want it to show at. I could NOT get the high tech blinds down and thank god my room did not face where the sun came up. When I asked the front desk they said just press the button on the remote but it didn't work. The bed was comfy but the pillows were a bit lame so I wish I had more than 2. A good amount of TV channels also, if that matters to you. Wifi was pretty good. "Breakfast" is make your own waffles, cereal, and egg based meals that obviously were frozen and you have to microwave. Hard pass. Decent for a short stay but wouldn't come here for longer than a night. read more

The convenience of this location is overshadowed by the lack of customer service amongst management. There's a pattern developing within the Home2 Suites network in Minnesota that has me reconsidering my Hilton loyalty. read more

If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. It looks just like the pictures on the website. It was quite all night, spacious room, black out blinds that actually worked and comfortable beds. Every single staff member that we passed said hello and was super friendly. The breakfast was amazing. It has plenty of GF options and a variety of healthy/sweeter options. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom. The door was hard to close, and the shower was transparent with a huge mirror. Everything in the room and public areas were very clean and neat. I just loved the vibe of this hotel. Also park and fly!! If you're looking for something just a little different and very modern this is your place. Well done. read more

I travel quite a bit for work and recently spend 5 days at this hotel. It's been great! They share a parking lot with a grocery store, plus there are several restaurants in the area. The staff is very friendly and professional. The elevators are fast (which is a funny thing to be excited about, but slow elevators when you are tired are irritating). My room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and when I accidentally dropped my key in the parking lot, a Good Samaritan took it to the restaurant next door and left a note on my car. Lovely town, great hotel. read more

Another road trip another hotel review. Lets talk about location. Great spot close to everything. It is literally located within a square block that contains a grocery store, food places, pet places and even places to get a haircut. Right across the street is more shopping and eateries and a park close by. The building itself was good, a little confusing as you pull up, but it was fine. Parking is outdoor shared lot or free underground. Inside the place was clean, there is a hot tub, pool and workout room. The lobby was nice, somewhat small. The rooms are excellent. Microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezers and sinks. The bathroom was a little tight, but the shower was more than enough. The beds, well I have never found a bed or pillow at any hotel I like. The staff, great. Very nice. The morning "continental" breakfast, was not up to par. Scrambled eggs in a bowl with green peppers? Yuck. There were a few other items that did not look tasty. I want a pan of eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit maybe biscuits and gravy! Come on H2S, if people can gather at breakfast then the food can be served with no worries of Covid. Price point of room, excellent. My only drawback, and is not the fault of the staff or the building....the constant smell of ganja, weed, bud the Devil's Lettuce. Everyone is free to do what they want, but I don't wanna smell it. Our car, parked underground, literally smelled like marijuana in the am. If it is a "no smoking" building, then doesn't that apply to anything smoked? Again, not the fault of the hotel, but they need to monitor it and spray something? And there were people roaming the hallways at 3a-4a yelling and smoking. No offense, but as a family, we don't want to deal with all that. Perhaps in the future they need to provide someone to walk the floors or, since it is legal for "medical use" perhaps a floor or a wing of a floor that is entirely smoke free of everything? Good hotel near the MSP airport with convenient location to a Red Robin (attached), fruit market (Fresh Tyme), along with a few casual sit down ethnic restaurants, fast food and coffee shops. Appeared to be a fairly new complex. Hotel was clean and modern with many eco friendly amenities. Breakfast options were new with packaged sandwiches and omelette that you microwave that tasted good (Turkey Sausage and egg English muffin sandwich) but they were missing fruit, yogurt, and milk options that appeared not be available. I stayed there this last weekend with my family .. for our family christmas with my in-laws that live in Mpls . we got there late we checked in around 10:30 pm . I woke up early to let my dogs out . went back on the elevator and It broke I was stuck on there . i pushed the button within the elevator/ call button . A lady got on the phone and say she will have their maintenance work on it . I asked each time to call 911 her reply was we are working on it . I hit it again a guy answered said the same thing . I stopped asking I told them to call 911 . my dog was having a seizure and I was trying to keep them calm . the lights went on and off . I hit the call button over and over same reply . the next time I did the lady said they have to call their maintenance and it will take another 45 . I was panicking I told them I can't be in here any longer still the dawn repsonse . 30 min later or so I saw the Fire man light flash on top and minutes later they got to opened . after that I went upstairs to catch my breath and take a shower . I went up to the front desk to get both there names so I can call corporate and to let them know they handled this situation very poorly !! she had the nerve to say she could not hear me . I said that was a lie and in both cases they ignored my request and should have called . I told them I was not feeling well on there There names were James and Colleen never stayed on the phone with me to keep me clam . no check up phone call . read more

I had never heard of the Home2 Suites before my friend booked our stay here. We had 2 Premium rooms that were very spacious, fresh and new. Plenty of outlets for everyone's electronics. The Premium rooms come stocked with a wonderful assortment of snacks and beverages which everyone enjoyed. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was pretty standard fare, the area was bright, clean, fresh and open. The outdoor seating area looked wonderful and had it been warmer, it would have been a great place to start the day. I rated it a 4 because our group wishes there were more protein options for breakfast and it was a little hard to regulate the temperature in the long rooms. To cool down the whole room, we had to have the fan on high which made the bed closest to the window hard to sit/sleep in. read more

Fab location...lots of newer places in strip malls in the vicinity---minutes from MOA and airport make it uber convenient as well. Underground parking great for snow/rain. Staff was very personable upon check in and check out. Didn't have any problems during my stay. Rooms were very roomy and clean. Breakfast options were plentiful with some nuke your own options if you're on that low carb/carb free life as well as the usual waffle/bagel/toast fare. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! read more

My family was impressed with the room size, super soft sheets, as well as complimentary snacks in the suite. Shuttle drivers CJ and Bashir were helpful and reliable. Front desk staff was kind and patient too. Also, I was pleasantly surprised recycle bin in the room and in the lobby! The hotel had no hot water. They said that this happens when it gets full, so they know about this problem but continue to completely book the hotel without fixing the problem. This alone tells me they do not value their guests, they only value making money so if you are looking to book this hotel please take your business elsewhere. I called the front desk and they had someone come down to check. The staff only ran the water to make sure it was actually not working (even though I told them I had it running for 10 minutes before). The guy left and said that he would call to tell me any updates. After two hours of waiting and still no hot water I had to walk down to the front desk. The front desk was no help. They said that it could take up to 30 minutes but I had already been waiting for two hours. At this point It was almost 10 PM so I went to bed thinking that I would have hot water in the morning. I woke up at 6AM to take a shower, and still there was no hot water. I told the front desk upon check out that I would like to be reimbursed for at least half of the stay, but they said I had to call the general manger. I tried calling the general manager, Tim, and left him a voicemail. It has been 3 days and I have yet to hear back from him. This hotel clearly does not value customer service or your comfort during your stay, so I highly recommend looking for another hotel. read more

How fortunate was I in January when my original hotels elevator was out & I ended up here. Now I'm back in the area & this is where I wanted to stay. Both times here have been fantastic! The staff is warm & friendly, rooms are so large with queen sofa bed if you need it, great kitchenette. They have underground parking so no frosty windows to scrape, ample parking above too. There is a great natural food grocery store across the parking lot, so convenient. The location is great, right off an expressway. I really like that it's a security building! You need your room key to take you to sleeping floors, or get into the hotel from the garage. The lobby has great options for relaxing watching TV or desk/work seating for about 15. 24 hour good coffee, that's a must for me. Nice breakfast options. Can you tell I really like the place. Definitely my choice for my next trip! read more

Stayed 5 nights in the 5th floor of this hotel . In our entire stay we have no complain at all. The bldg is new or maybe remodeled... it has a lot of oitlets to charge your gadgets that includes usb outlet/charger. Free wifi and free parking. Lots of restaurants nearby and a farmers grocery store across the parking lot. read more

Stayed for a long weekend, and the weather was terrible so the underground parking was great. The room was really comfortable and spacious. On weekends there is no housekeeping unless you request it, we didn't need it. The bathroom shower has the built-in shampoo and body wash but no conditioner, ask at the front desk and they will give you some. The hot tub was great, as was the saline pool. The area around the hotel offers a wide variety of shopping and food - the underground parking also has an entrance for a Fresh Thyme Market. Breakfast is hit or miss, the buckwheat waffles are great the microwaved eggs are not. read more

We had the opportunity to stay at this fine establishment! Unfortunately our timing only allowed one night! This place is new and you can feel the newness of it! The rooms are spacious with a full kitchen area. The breakfast was decent. Only complaint is that there was no warm food. It would have been nice to have an option of warm eggs and breakfast meat. Also to note, there are no travel size toiletries. This is fine for many that take their own, as do I. But for those that relay on the tiny lotion bottles, FYI. Maybe the front desk has some. I travel to Minneapolis about 6 times a year and normally stay at this property. This past Monday I canceled my reservation and booked another Home 2 suites location. Why? Because it was closer to where I needed to do business and the weather was awful this week in Minneapolis. I did not want to risk longer commute. I did not realize that they were cancellation fees when I canceled my original reservation at the Bloomington location. This was my oversight. However, given the fact that I'm a Hilton honors member, a repeat customer at this location and the weather I contacted Hilton to see if they would waive the charge. I was told that usually they would do this in situations were whether had an impact, but that I would need to talk to the general manager at the property. I've tried to call this individual and left a voicemail with no response.EXTREMELY disappointed in customer service here. Believe this is very shortsighted of the property management team as they lost a regular customer and for what $100. read more

This hotel is great! The location was very convenient. Close to the airport and MOA. There's stores and restaurants nearby. We really felt like we were at home. We were there for my niece's graduation and we were even able to invite our family over to have a bbq outside on the patio area which was very nice. The staff is amazing...they're all very kind and welcoming. I had no issues at check-in or check-out. I checked in on the app so they already had my room keys ready upon arrival. I would definitely stay here again. It's a new hotel so everything was very nice and clean. Five stars all around :) read more
