Let me be more specific: we were told when asked about the whereabouts of the waffle machine that it had burned up the day before. I asked the attendant how much they pay you to say that she replied not enough! Furthermore the sausage links tasted sour and the milk was warm and a little sour as well. We generally have our grandkids with us so along with the pool they really enjoy the morning breakfast bar and the large selection of TV channels. Breakfast include hot and cold cereals, a waffle maker, various egg dishes, sausage or bacon, yogurt, danish and other items. It's a great money saver. There is also a gas barbeque with an outdoor eaten area available for guests. The kitchenettes are great for simple food prep. There is also a washer/dryer facility on site. This TownePlace is really close to plenty of restaurants, shopping and other entertainment. It's next to a main highway, so access for travelers is easy. It's also a short drive to/from Tulsa International Airport. As hotels of this level go we are really happy with TownePlace Suites Owasso.

Complementary coffee was available but required an inconvenient trip to a locked drawer in the pantry next to the check-in area rather than in-room as at other motels. A disengaged front desk clerk barely registered life at check-in. Things like those should be easily remedied if management is paying attention.

Owners did minimal renovation for SureStay since the property received a considerable update a few years ago. However, lower pricing brought exceptional value back to this spot. A few warm and cold breakfast items are included in the price. They were the same each day throughout our multi-day stay, but that was okay. Other amenities include a customer laundry and a small workout room with a treadmill (but no weights). Our room was clean and fairly well maintained. It was also thoroughly serviced every day--a rarity now and especially for a down market brand. Other benefits to this location are fast food restaurants within walking distance, and a QuikTrip across the parking lot.

But this year, my significant other decided at the last minute to join me. While separately searching, we both found this gem, BarDew Valley Inn! And what a find it was! The owner, Perry, was exceptionally accommodating to us and the other guests. Our room, New Orleans, was absolutely stunning! The daily 9 am breakfasts were prepared with care and incredibly scrumptious. The house was beautiful and nightly movie nights in the Theater always the best way to top off the day. There are several themed suites. I stayed in the New York suite, which was a cleaner, more modern feel with several NYC motifs. There is also a New Orleans suite, a cowboy suite, and a French suite. He is currently working on an Asian themed suite. Each suite has its own bath and private entrance, as well as patio space to enjoy the evenings. There is wooded space and a pond out front with sitting areas. Very quiet and on a dead end, so no traffic. The rooms have comfy beds, wonderful, luxurious bedding, and a mattress warmer, which I loved! Each room has a refrigerator and Perry supplies bottled water, a keurig, coffee pods, glasses/cups, an ice bucket, extra blankets. A booklet with info on local restaurants and attractions. Everything you'd need! While I stayed here for work and kept to myself, Perry checked in with me often to make sure I didn't need anything. Other guests used the common areas more, like the movie room/game room and the kitchen. One night Perry built a fire in the fire pit. It would be a great place for people who want to socialize and meet new folks. Perry also makes breakfast every morning. I had to start work very early, so didn't partake, but other guests have raved about it. Perry really does open his home up to everyone and is very gregarious and gracious. It would be a great getaway for anyone wanting to explore the area. My suite was 139 a night, a great value.
