Despite the last-minute nature of our situation, he and his team quickly put together a schedule with wonderful caregivers who treated my mom with patience, dignity, and compassion. Knowing she was in such good hands gave me a sense of relief during an incredibly stressful time. It allowed me to take care of other responsibilities while feeling confident she was safe and well cared for. I'm truly grateful for their support and would absolutely turn to Amada Senior Care again without hesitation. I highly recommend them to anyone going through a similar situation.

Unfortunately, this community is out of our price range. It would be helpful if communities could be more transparent about pricing before scheduling a tour. As of November 2025, the fee for the most basic 306 sq ft studio was $5195/month, community fee is $7000, med fees vary but we were quoted $690-$920 (it's $23 per point), they didn't give me a quote for care fees, and the estimated price increase per year I believe was 7%-10%. If you can afford it, this would be an absolutely lovely community for a loved one.

They just had a big renovation in the community areas of the memory care sections and it looks freshened up. (Except for the old furniture). Most of the caregivers are good - they have a lot of work to do for a lot of people and not very much staffing. They seem to really care about the old folks who live there. I am updating my review from last winter to reflect current conditions at Aegis. The staff has had a major change with a new nursing director. A Marquita Kennedy has come aboard, and none are too happy about it. She has not been there terribly long, and already residents and us family are grumbling and good staff members are fixing to leave because of her. One bad egg may spoil a good thing here, and quick, too. The activities have slacked off some, less and less it seems. My Mother has been more sedentary with less to do. The food is still the same, not too good. The place is kept up fairly well. The staff turnover seems about the same as anywhere else, but is about to go through the roof with Ms. Kennedy at the reigns.

My brother and I very nervously approached Beth Quintong and Classic Care Home of Walnut Creek. Beth and her staff were extremely welcoming and kind hearted from the moment we met them. Sadly my Mom had a stroke soon after entering the home and passed away. But Dad, albeit exhausted after years of taking care of Mom, was brought into Classic Care and treated with exceptional kindness. He lasted three more years and just passed away this week. From the moment of entering Classic Care Home Dad was treated like "the Admiral"(yes he was ex-Navy) and was showered with kindness. We were lucky to find this home for Dad and couldn't recommend it with any more appreciation. Beth, JoJo, Gwen and the entire staff are angels.

Classic Care Home of Walnut Creek Having visited dozens of assisted living and residential care facilities in the Diablo Valley area, the prospect of finding a residence home which provided an optimal environment for our Mom's progressing 24/7 care needs and particularity of preferences, seemed unlikely at best. Our family was very fortunate to receive a referral which led us to the doorstep of Classic Care Home of Walnut Creek. Beth and Ed Quintong, their family members and their family of exceptional caregivers; Maria, Lynn, JoJo, Peter and Chris, were able to provide our Mom with extraordinary care and companionship when she most required it. Affording her a true sense of home, safety and belonging in her final years. Beth and her care-giving staff make a point of personally connecting with their residents. This allows them the insight to identify and provide for the individual's needs beyond rote care scenarios. It translates to more opportunities for residents to experience joy and contentment, despite the daily challenges with which they contend. Encouragement and personal social engagement are the cornerstones of Classic Care's approach to providing positive and caring support for their residents. Most importantly, they listen and address any concerns as they arise. That applies to both the residents and the family members. Beth is actively involved in all aspects of the home's daily management and oversees the care plan for each resident. This includes dietary, Rx, hygiene and other necessary assistance. Beth collaborates directly with the resident and primary family representative to best optimize the resident's sense of dignity and quality of life during their stay. Her personal involvement, focus, openness and rapport with medical providers and family members provide an informed and clear communication exchange. Her extensive experience is pivotal in finding solutions and recognizing behavioral progressions. Her partnership, honest feedback, compassion and humor are invaluable. Our Mom was a resident of Classic Care Home for just over 4 years. Beth always extended her sense of home and family into the lives of her residents and their families. That was an unexpected benefit which brought our Mom much peace during those years and at the end of her life in 2022. Beth, Ed, their family and the extraordinary individuals who provide this "classic" care to the residents, demonstrate an uncommon benevolence and personal concern for those in their charge. For all of these reasons and many others, we are deeply grateful that our Mom had the opportunity to be the recipient of such thoughtful and compassionate care.
