MANALAPAN: Brie's parents needed a few things for their home and made it a point to go to HomeGoods because they allow dogs! Brie browsed the store and especially enjoyed the pets section. There are so many interesting and fun items! If you plan on taking your dog with you, there's a grassy area outside to avoid accidents in the store. Also, try to go during a time that's less crowded (maybe when they first open). This is a nice store overall! It's very clean. It's a bit smaller than other HomeGoods locations, but I did find they had a large variety of kitchenware, which is what I was searching for today! Staff was friendly, and I saw staff almost everywhere I walked helping customers! I liked how the store has so many varieties of tableware, and kitchen supplies mostly! It also has a lot of good furniture, and other accessories that are at reasonable prices! It smells a little bit like a candle store, which I don't like, but overall great store! read more

Disappointed how new hires are charging you twice for the same item! I was in the store recently and had to insist that the cashier will reconcile my purchase order total. I saw her looking at me and then scan the same item twice. Once she told me the total I said that it's wrong but she refused to double check. I paid the amount that she announced yet had to ask her to count the items I have in my bags and count the amount of items she actually charged me for. Needless to say she scanned something twice intentionally and was pissed that she had to apologize and not take next customer in line. I still regret I didn't call her manager up to address this stupid mindless behavior. For the past couple of years the cashiers that this store hire are very bad at their simple job duties. I now have a good understanding of going to a homegood after having my own home... This is one of my favorite home goods in the tri state area... The moment you enter you are hit with a lot of stuff... They pack a a lot of items in this one particular store and i love it... We had a great experience here last time getting carpet... George was the carpet guy he was very kind and gentle with the items we wanted and quick with getting it down for us... The store manager james was also helpful and the cashier that i had returning something and purchasing the carpet is really nice...there was another cashier next to us that was a little pushy and nosey. when i asked my cashier a question for the cost of some pillows on sale, the other tried to answer the question and was incorrect...and the manager was already looking it up... I love everything about that place.. Cheap stuff but still you can find everything you are looking for..
