I like Belk. I discovered a Belk store on my last business trip to Owasso, OK. I don't have one…read morenear me, and looked forward to this one. I was watching Ellen on t.v. the other day, and her makeup artist looked dirrectly at me (well, not AT me, but it might as well had been), and said, "You need a simple black dress. Every woman has a simple black dress." Ellen said, "Not me," and I don't have one either. So, I was at Belk, looking for Alegria Shoes, which they carry, in the style I want, and there it was....the simple black dress. It's perfect. It's around $48, and simple. I need to be completely packed to go on the plane, to see my extra clothing space, before I buy anything. I really went to Belk for the Alegria shoes, (the peace sign shoes) and more pants, like I found at the last Belk. Considering Belk has high quality clothing, more like Dillards, but bright, and less stuck up, than I feel at Dillard's. Clothing isn't always low price, but the clearance racks seem plentiful. In this particular Belk, I found ample help, on a Saturday morning. The employees aren't pushy, but are kind and helpful. Belk also sells Estee Lauder/Lancome, etc....and handbags (I always have to look, but Coach handbags are a bit over priced. But sometimes they can be found on the clearance...) Ka Ching Ka ching ka ching. I'm going back Friday, after I pack for the plane, cause there's a couple of dozens of items that caught my eye.

It took about 10 minutes to get all of the pins off the mannequin, and it ended up being my size. She also gave me my measurements quickly and painlessly! Hui is awesome, give her a raise. She way overdelivered on my expectations.

I wouldn't call it a mall in the sense that I would call The Promenade or The Outlets one. There…read morearen't a lot of places to buy clothing. This is more of a collection of specialty stores. None that someone would just go in and "browse" except for Belk, maybe. There's a laser hair removal clinic, a phone repair store, a tutoring center, a kids hair salon, a few boutiques like Kristin Todd, Forsyths, Scarlet (not your bulk-shopping stores like Rue21, J.C. Penney, Nike). There are a ton of unique restaurants though if you're in the mood to try something different. It's a nice, upscale center. It's just not the first place that comes to mind when a friend says "let's go shopping!".

Little Rock loves their outdoor malls, and they're all located in ritzier ends of town. (Not a bad…read morething, but just a note.) Pleasant Ridge Town Center is a fantastic little Center. It's host to Istanbul Mediterranean, and Sky Modern Japanese Restaurant a few local places. It's home to a chain or two as well e.g. Bar Louie and Bone Fish Grill. The only Fresh Market in town is here, and there's a Belk also. (I'm told it's like the Souths Marshall's.) The Pleasant Ridge Town Center is one of the two outdoor malls/plazas in LR, and what a fantastic little Center it is.

The guy came out did his little thing to see if it was enough! But never layed in it to see how far down it goes once you lay in it! So after 2 1/2 months of waiting they couldn't even call us they send me a letter saying it was enough for a replacement! Would never use Dillards for any furniture again!! So make sure your sales man knowledgable about the mattress and Warranty! Had my Bassett mattress for 15 years never any of these problems just thought it was time to get a new one! Wish we had it back! Very disappointed in them!

I purchased a lovely dress. On the front of the page on website, it said permanently reduced…read more (nothing about final sale, see photo). I purchased the dress and saw that the confirmation said Final Sale, but then said $25 return .well which is it? I received the dress and it was beautiful but not a good fit. I went to return based on the confirmation I received but the computer said "Not Returnable" I called corporate and they told me sorry they are strict with returns, even though I sent them a photo saying there was a $25 return free. They then said they would have to get the issues fixed with their computer division, so they agreed this was a real confusion. I actually helped them by letting them know they needed to fix two issues. They still refused my return. The dress is in perfect condition. I found this whole interaction very one sided. It is absolutely clear they don't understand the value of a customer. Customer Service is definitely an issue with Dillards. They should have taken into consideration their mistakes and offered me a return. After all this I noticed the dress was extremely long. The description reads approx 62" but in reality it is 67" Dillards has an excuse which is one sided. The customer service department does not understand that they need to give in when there are errors. They will not admit to any fault. For this reason they lose my business and no doubt others. Approximate does not mean 5 inches! Epic fail Dillards.

The shop owner was so friendly and kind after overhearing that I was from OOT. They suggested a few great places to visit while being in the area so I certainly bookmarked them and plan on visiting. They have a wide array of outdoor items from coolers, tumbers, to backpacks. What really drew me in was their selection of little knickknacks that were rite up my alley! I purchased a few items and walked out happy with my purchases! Fortunately they also have an online store so I can get whatever I wanted in store but had no room in my carry on bags!

He told her the other guy could say whatever he wanted because he was the MANAGER. I did not say anything while this was going on. I checked out and I asked for the Managers name. I was told you have bought your items and you are done you need to leave. I said, "All I want is the managers name. The guy told me to call Corporate. He also told me to shut my mouth and cussed me. This is the worst Ross I have ever been to. Overstaffed for amount of employees just standing…read morearound watching while the line is well over 30 deep with only two registers open. One man who kept leaving his station while on register and the other slow as molasses. The door lady watched while it took cashier at least 10 seconds to check one customer out and proceeded to hold them hostage at door just 4 feet away while she ransacked their bags. Get a clue this place needs some proper mgmnt who knows what they are doing. Watched many ppl just give up and leave rather than wait for a cashier. Laziest bunch of retail workers - go to Walmart who seems to value this behavior as well. Won't be back to this one again. Literally 5 staff up front and no one bothered to do a thing to improve customer service almost like they enjoyed making customers wait forever. Customers that pay your wages. Need to remember without customers you have no job. Corporate should fire every last one of you and hire ppl who actually know what they are doing.
