The owner, Robert Forsythe made a point to introduce himself and talk to us for a few minutes. He could not have been more pleasant. There is no way he would recognize me. I am not someone that should be known and honestly doubt I have been in his store since high school. We found a few items for my wife. The staff wrapped them and chatted with us until our items were ready. We were happy to give them our business. To point out how long Mr Forsythe has been providing quality service, I will relay a story I distinctly remember from my mom. I doubt he would remember the story but 30 years ago my mom was shopping for me before I went to college. I remember her coming in quite proud of her efforts. She had been struggling to find me ties for a new suit. She went in Forsythe's (different location back then). Mr Forsythe had helped her. She found several she liked but took particular interest in the tie he was wearing. As she was checking out, he took his tie off and gave it to her as an appreciation of her business. In my opinion, that is going beyond what is required or expected.

The guy came out did his little thing to see if it was enough! But never layed in it to see how far down it goes once you lay in it! So after 2 1/2 months of waiting they couldn't even call us they send me a letter saying it was enough for a replacement! Would never use Dillards for any furniture again!! I purchased the dress and saw that the confirmation said Final Sale, but then said $25 return .well which is it? I received the dress and it was beautiful but not a good fit. I went to return based on the confirmation I received but the computer said "Not Returnable" I called corporate and they told me sorry they are strict with returns, even though I sent them a photo saying there was a $25 return free. They then said they would have to get the issues fixed with their computer division, so they agreed this was a real confusion. I actually helped them by letting them know they needed to fix two issues. They still refused my return. The dress is in perfect condition. I found this whole interaction very one sided. It is absolutely clear they don't understand the value of a customer. Customer Service is definitely an issue with Dillards. They should have taken into consideration their mistakes and offered me a return. After all this I noticed the dress was extremely long. The description reads approx 62" but in reality it is 67" Dillards has an excuse which is one sided. The customer service department does not understand that they need to give in when there are errors. They will not admit to any fault. For this reason they lose my business and no doubt others. Approximate does not mean 5 inches! Epic fail Dillards.
