HG in a medium sized strip mall with Starbucks, Ross and a restaurant or two. With online shopping you would think places like this couldn't survive anymore. I suppose some things are better to look at and touch in person before you buy. I've never bought anything of Temu or similar junk eBay knock offs - I think it sets yourself up for disappointment. Here you don't have that and no waiting and no shipping and no porch pirates. Some couches and snoopy stuff - holiday stuff - Valentines day - if you need this kind of thing stop by. Motivation to buy exists too - if you wait it might be gone next week and they don't replace and stock a bunch of the same thing. read more

I have been shopping here more and more as the years go by. They always have a ton of home stuff I like. The candle and diffuser aisle is a fragrant few minutes I like to have ;) I like it all! Today for the 3rd time in a couple months I had really been happy with everything in my cart and left without my haul because they can't get the line moving. It doesn't matter how soft those towels are or if that pillow is perfect when you must stand and wait because there are not enough cashiers. So, I went to Ross and Target next door and spent my money there. They can't not know this at this point. Totally a five star store I think if they fix it. read more

HomeGoods is one of my favorite stores to shop at for finding nice decor for my home and kitchen essentials, they have so many different items you can get lost in here for hours definitely a must visit for anyone looking to elevate their home on a budget they have a lot of options to work with, not a lot of staff if you have questions to try to help find any items but definitely a lot of isles to get lost in I also am a big fan of their mirrors and artwork that they carry here. Cashier -Peggy. I had one of the worst experiences with this SA last week. I requested to return 2 hand towels with receipt but no tags. Peggy asked had the towels been used, I told her no and that was the truth. She raised the towels and while looking at them in disgust said she'll be back. After consulting with the store manager she said she would return the merchandise on a gift card. I told her thanks and sorry for the trouble. While processing my return in a rude snarky condescending tone she said, "these really look worn". I've been a customer at this location since they opened and not once have I experienced this level of unfriendliness and disrespect. I even told her if returning would be too much of a hassle I would keep them. I also told her I didn't appreciate her accusing me of being untruthful and would possibly write a yelp review to express my experience Peggy, " Who cares, go ahead. Beautiful quality items, store well stocked and clean.... Problem with bad management. Came in bought a bedding set, 2 towels and 7 picture frames. Was expecting bill to be around $200. Bill was higher than expected, so reviewed bill in greater detail once home. When reviewing bill was shocked to see I had been double billed for the sheet set. Store would have still been a favorite and rated at least 4 star.... Except for the fact that....3 days later and 4 calls.... The issue still not handled!!!! Management not there during two calls, no follow up by any employee. Each time different person all claiming to be manager!! Then the last time called in transferred to a ' loss prevention department'... Start over... Still no resolution!!! Lady confirms that I only had 7 frames....., but can't handle says will refer back to another person to see how they want to address. WTF?!!! We're talking $45.00 erroneous DOUBLE BILLING... This is ridiculous!! And yes they have my name, receipt info, credit card and phone#. Multiple calls still not handled! I have now spoken to: Brenda 2xs Jennifer, Katie And one other lady who just dropped call. After detailed review I have now been told I must go back to Pleasant Hill (45min- 1hr away).... For them to issue refund. They stated they have no way to credit account without me coming back into store. I can't share how frustrating this issue has been... I have only visited the Pleasant Hill Home Goods a few times and have mostly left empty-handed. But after today's visit, I may become a regular. I came in to look at lamps. Got some good ideas but could not decide on one to purchase. I did pick up a few other small items that I could hold in two hands ... I hadn't bothered to get a cart when I came in. Happy to find great prices on colorful Easter/springtime napkins (both cocktail and luncheon size), food items, and some wooden puzzles to gift to a friend's twins. I was absolutely giddy today that I had a day off and could take my sweet time wandering around a Homegoods. I've frequented their San Ramon store, but it's typically during my lunch hour with limited time. The Pleasant Hill Homegoods, so far, is my favorite location. It's simply chock full of all your housewares needs and wants. Yes, some stuff can be pricey but if you have time to scour the various clearance sections you can find treasures such as $2.70 Tazo tea, deeply discounted gift sets from The Body Shop and scented glass jar candles for under $10. The selection runs from practical to eclectic and if you're looking for gift items such as picture frames, lotions or fancy tea pots, you are bound to find it here at not so bad prices. I need to remember to come here first when I'm looking for something specific. I find the inventory will vary and the brands will range from well known to "what the heck is this?" However, no matter what I find (or don't find) a spin through Homegoods is always highly enjoyable. Lots of parking and nice staff round out this great location! read more

I am going to miss this store in a huge kind of way. These people have been my new family for about 8 months. I was hired there in Nov. of 2019. I needed to keep my hands busy, and I have absolutely enjoyed working with everyone. During the Corona lay off, we found out the Company has filed bankruptcy. So, they are selling and liquidating a lot of stuff now. But, I will give them a 5-star rating. Because everyone there is beyond the awesomest! I will miss you all at Tuesday Morning, and I will miss the awesome cultural variety of people that came in there. We are the World! Lets share that song in these times! read more

I should be banned by my husband from entering one of these stores, because I don't think I can actually go in and out without buying something...I mean come on!?! I walked out with 4 items that were not what I was looking for, but all cool in my book. And honesty I got out cheap...(shhhh this visit).hahaha. But seriously if you are looking for maybe a piece of inexpensive furniture or a lamp, maybe pots and pans...I mean they do have a lot to choose from in terms of good prices. And for tchotchke say fall decor this is the place to find it. I wanted a glass pumpkin for my shelf (no judgment) and I found a very tasteful looking one that looks great in my kitchen for $12. They are constantly adding, and sometimes different stores will have different stock (especially furniture). Always worth a look-see, when on the hunt especially on a budget. read more

So this home goods is decent, but their stock is not great. A big warning if you plan to go during re-opening covid times there is zero social distancing (in the aisles, in line, etc). I wouldn't expect others to follow and keep you safe, so go at own risk. They have the illusion they have some things in place, but it's not happening at all. It took the grocery stores a while to figure it all out, so we will see if eventually they'll make it happen. I was traveling through town to So Cal last Nov and had a great experience shopping here, both in selection of merchandise and the professionalism and kindness of the staff. I hope Ruth is still working here and sees this, as she was an exceptional person to meet. I am the woman with the head wraps. I don't want to get too personal but I feel like I only gave half the message, which was absolutely true, but held back out of my own weakness and error. You are indeed on the right track, but He loves you dearly for having a sincere heart of regret and desire to do what's right. None of us can come to Him without that. I was doing some baby shopping with my infant today. I have heard bad customer service from this property before, but never experienced it until today. I had a Starbucks with me that I was drinking while shopping. Nawal kept walking by me bumping into my stroller one time two times ok? I finally got an excuse me. Eventually, she comes up to me and tells me I can't drink in the store? I said ok I'm sorry I didn't know and put my mask back on. As I'm walking away exhausted because I'm an essential worker, I hear her trash talking me to her coworker. On top of that she has her boss Katie get on the speaker announcing that masks are mandatory in the store. Maybe I should wear a sticker on my forehead that says I'm an essential worker and am vaccinated then maybe I can drink my Starbucks by pulling down my mask. What a way to treat a tired mother. The store is very mixed up. Narrow isles. The worst is the cashier. When she put my stuff on the bags is so careless that I told her the way you put it it shall be break. She said no unless you swing it . When I took it out from the shopping cart. The bag immediately broke . And I go in and told her, she was so rude . Said the handle broke it. Picked a wall art with no price so I carried the another one of the same but diff'rent print just so the clerk would have to go out looking for it. There was dirt track on the top edges and left side edges then an inch dent off side the center. I asked if I could get a discount for it. Latina manager came and told me "OUT STUFF HAS DIRT N SOME DAMAGES TO IT ALL THE TIME IM NOT GINNA GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT" if the item was not dirty I'd pay full price. BUT, it was not. So in your advertisement you should be using is "HOMEGOODS STUFFS HAS DIRT AND SOME DAMGES TO IT" ... that's why the price is low expect gutter service and dirty damaged goods. For the record I've never ran into an asshole employee at that this store but you you're the one! HOMEGOODS upper management teach your staff to have some class. read more

I can and have spent hours walking through every aisle in this store. I love the variety of products especially the many clearance end caps in the kitchen section. They have a formidable section for mirrors and other large pieces of furniture. It isn't the biggest store I've been to but it's pretty well organized. I'm a devoted HomeGoods shopper. Now that this location is open I have to stop myself from stopping by all day. It's on my way to work, on my way home. This must be what it's like to be an alcoholic and drive past your favorite bar everyday. The selection changes constantly. So if you have your heart set on it just buy it because it might not be back the next day. This limited selection kind of sucks for returns. If you buy something that you bring home that's broken you might not find a replacement. Case in point a soap dispenser. I bought one, brought it home, and the pump didn't work. The next morning I brought it back. They let me go find a similar one. I brought it back to the counter. So of course I knew the dispenser was broken because I put soap in it. I poured the soap out then ran hot water through it. It was wrapped in paper towels and I tied it up in the same plastic bag it came in. The employee untied the bag, opened the dispenser, then pours the water and soap remnants on the counter. Who does that?! I asked her "In what world would that be something smart to do?" She then gets an attitude with me. Like mad because there was a little soapy water in it. How else would I know it was broken?!?!? If it wasn't broken I wouldnt be standing here!! That's when I knew she would have more than likely put it back on the shelf I bought it from. So I asked her again "Why would you do that? Were you just going to resell it?" I really wanted to get in this woman's head to figure out what would possess someone to do something so dumb. She did nothing but roll her eyes and huff at me. I'm sorry, I wrapped it up so that it wouldn't get messy. You took it upon yourself to dismantle it then make an unnecessary mess. So while I enjoy a good Homegoods shopping spree, the employee conduct is questionable. read more

Love shopping at this place! But this review isn't for shopping it's for the future workers. To many managers to keep count. Told the lady that hired me my schedule and that it has to be exact because I'm an assistant manager at my other job and a college student. Anyways I got the job! Was excited then went for orientation for a 6 hours! She then gave me my schedule. (This is when I saw a red flag) she completely disregarded my availability. I said 4-6 hour shifts 3-4 days a week. She put me at 5 days a week for 8 hrs giving me an hour to go to my other job that is my priority and at the point school wasn't an option. Example (6am-2pm or 3pm-10pm) which I work my other job 4-9:30 or 5-9:30. Also I have school!!! I wouldn't have a life..... that just made me want to quit right there it's ORIENTATION and they couldn't Care enough about my life to look actually look at my availability! I'm just a worker not a person! Also!!! I asked her can we have a conversation before I leave she said I need to get home we can talk when you come in. The lack of concern on my first day asking to talk about my schedule was like she didn't care. ALSO NEVER GOT PAID for those 6 hours but who cares you get paid barely anything. But why I actually never came back was someone in my family was really sick and the schedule plus the 30 min commute didn't fit into my life. read more

I love HomeGoods, but the customer service in this particular location has gone downhill over the years. The staff is not friendly and can't even put up a front like they want to be there. Of course this isn't representative of every single person there, but definitely most. They're easily inconvenienced by any little thing that requires them to go a millimeter of the extra mile. I get bad anxiety when I go into places that are packed to the brim with every little knick knacks they can place on the shelves so coming here... I HAVE to know what I'm planning to buy beforehand because I can't get lost in their rows of knick knack eternity. Customer service is standard, haven't had a problem as of yet. Parking isn't too shabby either. I highly recommend keeping an eye out on your children if you plan on buying any plates/glass because like I mentioned above, they pack their shelves to the brim and a lot of the glasses were on the edge of the shelves so be careful ! Me and my fiancée collect Squishmallows and I went yesterday (I'm first in line) to get some as a gift for her because she just got her vaccine second shot, and when I get there, a Hispanic lady rushes over to the toys section and grabs almost all of them. Luckily I find a few hidden. She proceeds to call me names and calls me a reseller, meanwhile I saw her a few days before buying THREE of the same thing and says they're for her grandkids. She hangs out with an Asian woman and a Caucasian woman and they're always very aggressive and rude and are outside with their masks off (as all inconsiderate resellers are). I tell the managers and the reason this gets 4 stars is because of the managers. They are very sweet as I'm in a state of distress after checking out. Apparently they said she's been banned from the store before. Why is she allowed back in though? Some practices that need to be ironed out, but overall a nice place and management is very sweet. read more

I didn't know what to expect when coming into HomeGoods today. I've never been into one, but I assumed it was a store with pretty decent items to furnish your home. It is that exactly but I wasn't expecting it to look so much like Ross and other similar stores. The store is very clean and down many aisles I found employees constantly folding towels, putting things where they go, just really taking care of the place. They have some really beautiful stuff here. Stainless steel pans for $40.00 caught my attention. A very big vast selection of both mirrors and clocks. Everything from very fancy to kind of wacky. So something for everyone. Though there are a lot of very nice things, it does feel a little cluttered in there. Every aisle is kind of towering over you. It would be nice if the store was either a little bigger so you can spread the stuff out, or just not have so much stuff on sales floor. I will be returning to do a little shopping because there are some pretty neat things and for the price you really can't beat it. read more

I stopped by here on Tuesday at 3pm and had 3 people in front of me. I waited 30 min in line. Even the person in front of me said she will never come back. I watched one of the cashiers (Fahima I think) and she was extremely slow. No wonder. There was a line all the way to the end and finally 3rd cashier opened up and helped out. What got me was at the end something triggered the store sensors and none of the 3 cashiers even looked up. I believe one was a manager. Shouldn't you look up when you hear the alarms go off. Love Home Goods. Made a trip on my lunch break today to get a drink pitcher and they had several to choose from. I was also looking for a small organizer for my makeup and hair accessories and they had that too. The last item on my list was a desk clock for my office at work, and I found the perfect one on an end-cap but alas, there was no price tag (I looked everyone on it, and there was only one of these items) and I don't buy things without price tags. The lines to checkout are long enough during lunch hour and I feel bad making employees have to research what the price is while customers pile up in the queue and get mad. There seemed to be several items I looked at today without price tags. A suggestion I would make would be to regularly check to see if prices are attached when tidying up or restocking shelves. I have been to this store twice in the last week and really like it their stuff, however, I cannot seem to purchase anything. Why you ask???? Because there is always a line at least 10 people deep and no help in sight. I would have made a purchase of several hundreds by now but I cannot wait in line that long. I cannot spend over 30 minutes in line. It seems a little crazy that only two (sometime just one) person is working the register and there are five employees putting product away. I'm not sure if the cashiers are afraid to call for more help or have been told not to. The other compliant I have is there are empty bins that appear to have been left on the floor instead of moved to the back and they sitting in front of shelves full of stuff people cannot get to. Most cashiers would have made it not their problem but she took the time to open it up and make sure it would work for my needs. This is the what defines great customer service.
