Love this HomeGoods since it opened! I am a bargain shopper so I go to Tjmaxx, Ross, Marshall's, Target, Walmart and dollar tree stores. HomeGoods, Marshall's and Tjmaxx are owned by the same company. This place can be dangerous either for shopping for yourself or for others. I constantly discover new items I didn't even realize I needed at such a great value. The store is consistently clean and well organized. The sales associates seem to be friendly and not pushy when asking if you would like to open up a credit card. They always have some of the best seasonal decor in town. Parking has never been a problem even during the holiday season since they share a parking lot in a plaza. read more

I went there recently with my family. It was during their after Christmas sale. We got some peppermint bark candy there and it was gross! it tasted like waxy cold medicine! Also I got a ASPCA cat tri tunnel there that was sealed in the packaging. But when I took it out for my cats, there were holes in the fabric. Still my cats enjoyed it. But the image on the front packaging is deceptive as it appears much larger than it really is. And you would think it would be of good quality and durable as it is an ASPCA brand! I found out the hard way...no. Also, I found a phone battery charger that I wanted to buy but it had been in an opened package. This was the only charger I found here available. I asked the clerk if they could discount the price but after she checked, the manager said no. Sadly it is common to see opened boxes at stores like this. And the clerk told me that if they did discount the price, there would be no returns. So if it does not work, you as a customer are stuck with it. That is full of s- - t. But buying a sealed item that is already damaged and buying food no matter if it is on clearance, that tastes like crap is not honest. I enjoy shopping here but for now on will be careful what I buy. I guess it should not come to any surprise as just like Home Goods sister store Marshalls, or even Ross and DDs Discounts, these stores sell items that for some reason did not sell well in regular stores or were overstock. I just wish that stores like this took a more active role in considering what exactly they were selling was in new condition (no damage, not a return, box never opened, etc), and if food, were aware they were indeed edible. read more

I love this place!! Honestly hard not to walk out of here with something. I've bought blankets, baskets, a wok, and tons of decorative stuff here. You could easily furnish a cozy place here! Towels, cookware, bedding, decor, dishes..... it's all here. Always news stuff to find. I popped in yesterday hoping to find Halloween stuff (yes it's July, I know LOL) I love Fall. Anyways I was not disappointed!! Staff is nice and the store is clean. I like it better than Ross. No broken stuff, or messy lotions and soaps to weed through. I purchased 2 items (salt/pepper electric shaker) about a week ago but came back for an exchange after it had not been working after many attempts. I didn't have my receipt but was aware of their return/exchange policy since throughout my time shopping here, the employees allowed giving store credit even without the receipt. When I came in and told about wanting to exchange the item, the employee, Kim, said she couldn't give me an exchange nor credit because I did not have my receipt with me. I explained that I didn't want a refund but an exchange and she bluntly said no. When I asked if I can speak with a manager instead, she said she was the manager but she didn't have her name tag. The cashier next to her started laughing and I asked her why it was funny? Kim was stern and said that nothing could be done because there was no such policy of exchanging an item in their system. It was the first time I ever heard that. What's funny is that I look up their website and lo' and behold, she was wrong. I understand if a new employee did not know the system, but for a manager like Kim she seemed unexperienced, unknowledgeable, and oblivious. It's disappointing to say but correct yourself and re-train the policy before giving a bold response about the system. read more

if you get ashley (store mgr?) things will be great. many of the youbg cashiers are snotty & rude & have NO customer service skills. they don't dont care how breakable item are wrapped, & just kind of dump things in a bag. I overheard 1 conversation between a customer & cashier. Altho the customer didn't have a receipt, she'd charged it so the refund charge would've gone through. The cashier was beyond rude. As for me I got home very late & found the cashier I had didn't give me all my bagged items. Found out when I got home & it was about time for the store to close. I'm missing $43+tax worth of items-4 of them. Will see what happens when I contact the store mgr tomorrow morning. There was 1 bright spot & it was an interaction with the lady stocking the food aisles. But 3 of my missing items came from that area. The reviews were right on for this place. Before it even opened a line had formed. I came here looking for specific items and I was not disappointed. I was looking for a mirror and curtains. Of course there is an opportunity to purchase more because the store is so chock full of fun things. But I am a working person and I try to keep myself in a budget. The stores very well organized. There are social distancing protocols in place. Such as keeping count of the customers allowed in the store. Masks are required. Employees wear masks of course. And there are social distancing guidelines taped on the floor at the checkout. I just kept my hands to myself because it is the checkout line where you can end up spending extra money. They have all sorts of goodies to look at as you wait your turn for a cashier. Pre-Covid I may have been touching stuff and looking at things. But you never know how many people have touched what. So it helped me save money. I would've spent more but like I said I was on a budget. Oh yeah I found some cutting boards that I've been looking for. The flexible kind where you can cut your veggies on and then pick the cutting board up and just put your stuff in the bowl. Seven dollars for four of them! The kitchen section was overflowing with stuff. So much fun stuff to look at. Anytime I need anything more for my apartment I definitely will come here to look first. Not sure what's going on, the store is a mess. I came in on Sunday & then again today. I understand after a busy weekend, some recovery of the floor needs to happen. However, 4 employees having conversation, twerking & hanging out together, in the middle of an aisle, need some direction. It looks like some racks of merchandise was being moved to the floor, but no one seemed to care how long that was taking. Get it together, your shelves are a mess, and all the clearance inventory needs to move to the back of the store. Never have I left the store twice without purchasing something. read more

This is my go to place for home decor goods, they have a great variety of everything, I would also recommend checking out their pet section it's surprisingly well stocked and very classy. My only complaint is that it's a bit disorganized therefore going in for a specific item may take some time to find on your own. I am absolutely obsessed with finding great deals on the cutest home decor and I always check Home Goods as one of my first options. Every aisle is filled with unique pieces from vases to pillows to bathroom decor and more. I do have to say that it can be overwhelming for first time home decor shoppers as the aisles are cluttery with items. I've had successful purchases on some items that I LOVE! I don't know how to describe the energy that I both felt and saw in this store, but all I can really say is that it was overwhelmingly negative and venomous. Multiple couples arguing, customers and staff members alike walking the wrong direction on the "one way" aisles, and to top it all off, on my quest for a cute and traditional Santa Claus decoration. all I was left with was a haunting shelf of grey and blue colored Santas. What kind of Christmas display contains such a monochromatic depiction of one of our worlds most cherished pagan icons? Is it so much to ask for a red Santa?! Normally I would rate this higher. My husband & I have been on the hunt for 2nd side table/night stand that matched one we bought at a different Homegoods, San Carlos. Forget it, no where. We walk in here and husband found it in a clearance sectionbroken badly. My husband says I can try and fix it, tradesman Contractor. Sticker said $129. Regular price. They take it up front broken pieces and all. Said they would call a manager. We shop here a lot. We're from Santa Cruz so we go to San Jose, Sa Carlos, Gilroy etc... HUGE Homegoods / T.J.MAXX shoppers. The exterior shell was ok still needed to be straighten the 3 drawers were all messed up. We didn't realize the manager took a whole $20 off! Our fault, but to anyone else that didn't have a contractor for a husband? It looked like firewood. I feel very taken advantage of. This wasn't in a nice clearance section. It was in the get rid of section. One entertainment center had a piece of top broken. It was marked $999.00 down to $99.00. It was together???!! What do you all think??? read more

When going to the home goods in seaside DO NOT check out with Suzanne the cashier. She clearly does not know anything about customer service and obviously hates her job. Not only was she rude and disrespectful while checking out, she asked to be reported. I had an item on hold at the register at a markdown price. When I asked for my item she gave me a blank look with out even looking around and said she didn't have my item. After having to argue with this lovely cashier, she finally found my item by being yelled at by another associate. This item was not the only thing I was purchasing and she sarcastically asked if I had anything else behind the counter. After proceeding to ring up my other items she had no idea how to work the register. I tried to use Apple Pay and apparently it didn't work. I knew it didn't work after being yelled at that it doesn't work and being told I must use a card. After using my card on a very expensive purchase she continued to be rude and sarcastic. I kindly asked for her name and after her screaming her name at me she told me to report her as well. Here you go Suzanne. After speaking with a manger about Suzanne she said that is not how they are trained and she should not be treating customers with disrespect. I thought this was obvious for all sales associate but apparently not for Suzanne. read more

This was my first time Going to home goods, and I got to say I am very happy I stopped by. Everything looked as if they just barely opened the store. Everything was organized. Bumped into one of the workers. Les. I have nothing but good things to say about this person. Throughout the whole time I was there (maybe an hour or more) he did not stop moving. Every time I ran into Les he was always organizing and picking up The mess that the lazy customers leave throughout the whole store. He was very nice enough to stop for a minute to direct me to the bathroom. Thumbs up to you Les . It didn't just stop there. Nancy and Jean, Who both work At the register were both Tag-teaming the front of the store. Everything looked organized And it it's place. I definitely recommend coming here. NO PETS ALLOWED AT THIS LOCATION. Since it opened pets on a leash have been allowed. Overnight they have changed their pet policy and nowhere have they posted any signs notifying customers to this change. I will no longer be shopping at such a disorganized, rude place ever again. read more

While I enjoy going to Home Goods, my bank account (and husband, lol) may disagree! Lately it seems like I've been coming here almost every weekend or every other weekend but it's interesting coming in each time as the inventory is always changing that you just never know what you're going to find! It's a pretty big store that always seems clean and well organized with a variety of unique items for your home, office, or gifts at great everyday prices. It's not overly cluttered compared to other locations I have gone to and the staff are usually always friendly and helpful. Of course, the downside to these types of stores is that if you see something you like, you usually have to buy it right away because it may not always be there the next day and it's not guaranteed they will get it back in stock. The other thing is I wish they would give a little more wiggle room in the high-traffic aisles with the shelves full of breakables... it's always a tight squeeze navigating other customers and the big shopping carts (they also have smaller carts as well which is what I usually try to get). It's always cringe-inducing when you hear that glass shatter... everyone just freezes looking around hoping it wasn't them! Overall, it's a great location and sure beats having to drive out of town to the next closest one in Gilroy. read more
