Yeah! No. I'm thinking years ago this Marshall's was great, clean, full and solid customer service. Not so much the last few times I've been here. There's a noticeable change. So unorganized, a bit empty or way over stocked of one item. The floors are filthy and the bathrooms are closed or not working. Is it a change in management or just in who they're hiring? Crowded af on weekends. The bathroom was disgusting! Pee and paper on the floor. I was at the end of a aisle looking at items and there was a big bin on the floor. A sales associate arrives at the other end and was putting merchandise away from a big bin. She sees me and still puts her big bin next to the other big bin so now the aisle is blocked from walking more forward SMH. She doesn't even ask me if I'll be going that way or tell me she will be putting the bin down and if it's ok or will it be in my way. Come on lady. Have some consideration for customers. read more

I shop here for my pans and my clothing. The holidays are fun to shop here because they carry a large assortment of holiday decor. I give it a two today because of the poor customer service with Geo the coordinator. I understand we go through a lot of things but it's cool to be mindful on how you project that. I'm not the one coming in there and checking out with an attitude now and it's horrific to receive that sort of behavior as a customer from what is supposed to be basically a supervisor level cashier. If you don't like your job then leave and stop projecting to people who did nothing to you but feed you via shopping at Marshall's. When supervisors behave this way it's not wonder the rest of the team looks unhappy I would be unhappy as can be if I had to work with someone so bitter like that. I'm not saying you have to smile but at least pretend to engage and be kind it's not that hard. I've never had this issue in sand city Marshall's it felt like I was in Salinas Marshall's with that cashier's behavior. I felt so grossed out at Geos behavior because I know damn well she wouldn't like her loved ones to be treated like that and I mean every time I was asking for a price on the total and possibly have to leave certain items to upkeep my budget, although I was super grateful and expressing being thankful to her for this it's like someone just lit a firework underneath her bottoms. Let me tell you if I don't or cannot take an item it's so simple to simply void and item and the line was not that bad either. She looked so annoyed and it's frustrating instead of making a simple experience for me she made it seem like I'm pulling out teeth. It is my choice whether or not I will or not or cannot take an item point blank no need to give me attitude about it. I like Marshalls they normally have everything and I normally like going into this store. I honestly find since Ive moved here that ive been singled out and completely picked on and ganged up on with no one helping me to defend myself; and there's really not a lot of stores here. So when you have issues with the few stores that are the main stores in the area...thats pretty lame. Some of the buisness even went as far as to come to your house and single you out and mess with you? There's something wrong with this...its crazy. Anyways last time I went in there I was basically bullied and strong armed to get out. The workers just tend to swarm you and mess with you until you leave. They harass and ive never experienced anything quite like this treatment honestly. Service is great. The line really moved quickly. The patrons were kind and courteous. This place is packed full of selections. I was surprised cause the other reviews were so so low. I don't know what they were talking about. This is a great place to go. Prices Here were a little higher than my hometown of Long Beach. I guess Carmel ZIP Code automatically bumps everything up three bucks per item I spent $65 on socks. read more

I came by here today looking for a dress shirt and a pair of slacks. I did ultimately find what I was looking for. There was a bit of chaos going on in the store with kids running amok and piles of clothes and stuff everywhere. The pricing on the clothing was very reasonable, so no complaints there. They deserve no star. The lack of respect and "training" is below standards from management down to entry level. Returned three items all items on same receipt, was given cash for two of the items and a gift card for the third item because I supposedly didn't have the receipt. All items had tags on them were unworn. I should've received cash for all items, but I was going to make another purchase so they provided a gift card for the third item and then they proceeded to ask me for my ID when they had just handed me the gift card. Does that make sense? I asked the cashier why I needed to show my ID then everyone chimes in and says he's just doing his job yeah I get it. You're doing your job, but you just handed me the gift card. I never did you verbally stipulate or state that I would have to show my ID for a gift card when in fact, you should've just given me cash to begin with. The cashier proceeded to laugh in my face as if I didn't understand his broken English. I spoke to the manager and all she could say was I understand she said I understand at least 25 times but never did she take accountability for the wrongdoing of her employees. She said they needed to be taught better. I said yeah teach and coach on attitude. She said it's the same thing argumentative on all their parts instead of just apologizing and admitting that they were wrong and that they could've processed the transaction a lot more efficiently and with the less complexity. First of... I am completely obsessed with the Marshall's family. My entire home is furnished with products from all their stores. I shop at one of their stores at least once a week. Yes, I have a problem, I know it. Anyways, this store is the absolute worst. Besides being a mess and complete chaos... which I don't hold against the store, it's the clientele that shop at this location... The staff is the absolute WORST. I have never had any issues at any other store... but damn near every time I go in this store (which is only when necessary) I have a bad experience. They are rude. They are COMPLETELY wrong on pricing items that are missing tags. Like I said, I shop their regularly, I can typically tell you the price of something without looking at the tag. I know the original prices as well, and when they try to charge the original store price instead of the Marshall's price, it's ridiculous. Thankfully, there's a Home Goods next door, which I prefer anyway... it's more organized and the staff is amazing! There's never anything here that you want. Like it's crammed full of stuff but you don't want it. The childrens section is not in size order and has like 6 items in each size. Waste of time. But the thing that really annoys me is that the aisles are so tight, there's just no way to go down them with a cart or stroller. So if you have a child with you you either don't get to go down the aisle or you're supposed to pick them up and carry them I guess? Stupid. Great for a budget shopper. Better brands and quality versus Ross. Sweet deals on brand named luggage throughout the year. This branch is smaller compared to the ones in big city but you can cans have some cool finds. Very organized I rarely find things out of place , of course I tend to shop early in the morning. Employees seem always busy but will answer questions when stopped. read more

This store has absolutely no class, completely disorganized and disastrous with clothes and other random items flown flung and strung to and fro. Brought my 95 year old mother there to return an item, the line was 20+ long. I left my mom in line, five minutes later I decided to go get her and suggest she come back during the week when they would not be so busy. To my shock she was already be waited on. Good for them for having every purchasing station opened. The line moved to quickly. I also want to say that for the amount of traffic their store receives they keep it in good order. I wish Ross would try and be more like Marshalls, their store is such a mess. read more

I can't lie. I love this place but honestly some of the brand name goods are still PRICEY!!! Of course the non-brand name items (which I am not afraid to rock since I'm older and over labels ... that I cannot afford... unfortunately) are cheap but anything from Italy or anything with a name kinda pricey. There were shoes and boots on the Clearnace rack that were over $200. I finally found a pair of sexy, uber sturdy boots and I flipped them over to see a price tag over $300... F-ing PRADA. I would have paid $150. Shoot! Too bad they don't fit properly because my calves are huge otherwise I would have thought about lay-away... do they do that here? I remember tempted to do it once... but I think it was in Santa Barbara. Shhh total secret. I did pick up a pair of chuny heeled peep toe pumps by Paris Hilton... I know sounds lame but they look more like from LAMB or something. I don't give a rat's ass about Paris although I've enjoyed staying at a couple Hilton's. The store is much better organized than Ross, but to be honest, I find more deals on better products @ Ross & maybe that is because it is so disorganized no one can find anything! Marshalls is a good place if you have plenty of time and patience to sort through everything. It is a discount retailer which offers a good selection at a decent price. They do have a contemporary section, but I have been shopping here for years and the prices have gotten higher as the selection and brands have worsened. The prices across the whole store have slowly been increasing actually... I do come regularly to notice a change like this, maybe they need to fund the slight remodel they just finished.. who knows. All in all - good store to find a deal on shoes or clothing, but not the same deals and quality as times past. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have plenty of time to sort through the racks, carefully inspect items, and try them on to make sure the cuts of the clothing fit you. I like Marshalls for the "scavenger hunt" feel to the experience. You never know what you're going to see. I am okay with it because it seems as though their pricing is completely arbitrary and makes no sense. Many items are marked down in such a manner that makes you want to buy it on the spot, while other items you think, "why would I pay that much for it at Marshalls?" Overall, I keep going because I love the hunt. I can't seem to get out of Marshalls without spending at least eighty bucks though. Totally their fault because of the deals I manage to find!
