Love this shopping area that was close to our hotel. We came here to kill some time before check-in and ended up having a great time! My husband is from SoCal and was excited to see his childhood favorite, Islands; so we had to stop by here for lunch. Then we roamed around and window shopped at H&M, Pottery Barn, Sephora and Macys. This is basically an outdoor mall that has a movie theater, gym, and a variety of stores. The seating spots throughout are so picturesque and well-kept. The public bathrooms were clean which tells you something right there. If you have little ones, there's a play area they can run around. It was fun to see a Macy's here- you can tell it's been there forever but was updated at the same time. Lots of places to eat, shop, and a Whole Foods and Rite Aid if you forget any essentials while traveling. read more

My wife and I really enjoy this mall and the selection of eateries. Only con is I wish they would extend the hours on the weekends. Why do the stores stay open to 9pm during the week but close at 8pm on Sunday. Seems odd. I heard the mall got bought out by Santana Row company so maybe they will fix this issue. read more

Thank you Del Monte Shopping Center for another year of the tree lighting. Last night was great complete with live music, reindeer antlers, cookies and Santa. Although it was a little crowded it never disappoints The stores were busy with early Christmas shoppers and sales were in effect. I spent many a day shopping here. So many shops! So many choices! I really loved shopping here. One of my favorite stops was the basement at Macy's. Lots of interesting cookware. From pots and pans to silverware to electric appliances. And of course I loved the mens clothing section. Such fine selections. And all my favorite brands. Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Bahama, Ralph Lauren, Champion, and so many more. I could spend all day just in this one store. And I always took my appetite. So many fine places to eat. And I'm super happy that Pizza My Heart moved in here. I used to drive all the way to Capitola just for a slice of pizza. Now I can pig out on pizza right here. And I always left room for dessert at See's Candy. Always such delicious chocolates. read more

Used to be the place to go to find staples like properly drab work uniforms. Was there right when the stores looked to open, having just visited the Del Monte version of the Monterey Farmers Market. The Apple store had its share of folks waiting outside and everything else looked very quiet. It's an outdoor venue with pleasant decorations. Pretty sure Amazon is taking this place down though, if COVID hasn't already done so. Great place to stretch your legs out if you are tired of that ocean thing and need some retail therapy. Also has a Tesla Supercharging station. Cheaper to charge at home, as is the case everywhere unless you scored free supercharging early on with your ride. read more

I've always loved this outdoor mall. They have a security guard who walks around. During holidays they decorate and have Santa available for pictures and Halloween most stores hand out candy to children. Stores close early on Sunday with Macys staying open later. There are plenty of shopping stores such as H&M, bath & body works, Express and plenty others. They also have some options for food such as California pizza kitchen, pretzels and Starbucks. Whole Foods is right across the parking lot. Very close to highway access. We will return. read more

The Santa's Workshop needs to be called out. This was my first time, trying to take photos with Santa, at this location. We made an appointment online, and showed up on time. We were told that Santa needs to take his lunch and they are running 2 hours behind. They will call my cell when they are ready for me. We talked to a staff person there, and the person said that they accepted 5 appointment for every 15min times slot. And that the owner is money hungry. They also refused to give us a refund and said the best course of action was to dispute the charge with our bank, as they require you to put your credit card in online when you book an appointment and they charge you $23. They did call me, nearly 4 hours later. I came with 3 kids under 6 years old and needless to say, everyone was disappointed. This feels like a scam and is absolutely despicable and disgusting, to do this to kids on Xmas. Del Monte should not allow this business owner back, next year. read more

Decent Shopping Center! Smallish compared to other shopping centers you have probably been to. Lululemon, Apple, Macys, AMC, and others are some highlight stores they have. Being outdoor that is pretty cool. Can not imagine this shopping center ever getting super crowded, but I am sure it has its days since it is the only real shopping center in the area. We arrived about 2 hours before closing (which we had no idea most stores closed at 5pm on Sunday) and spent a while at Macy's, it was nice walking the outdoor mall and even into the new year they have the Christmas tree up. For the Monterey area, this is a good mall. They have a variety of stores and some decent restaurants plus a movie theater. It's the best unless you go to a major city. It's better than anything in Salinas or Santa Cruz. read more

We stopped by at ride aid after googling for a pharmacy and found this cute outdoor mall It is nice outdoors place with a main anchor store Macy's. Other anchor stores, I guess are Whole Foods, H&M, and Petco It has quiet a few smaller stores like apple store, and quite a few restaurants. It is a nice place to take a stroll and grab a bit to eat. Really nice flowers and gardens around this place. It is not a huge place, but has a few stores that may grab your attention. This center is definitely in need of a renovation and update on its stores. It seems to have a lot of possibility but honestly I have been coming here for 20 years and it looks the same way (now needed more TLC) than it did the first time we came here. It seems they may need to find someway to attract some businesses that will get more customers there. This mall is trying to be made more like Carmel-by-the-Sea with its boutiques and clothing shops. Most of the shops open for a few months or a few years then close, the only anchor store seems to be Macy's and that is a whole separate mess. I wanted to do a little after Christmas shopping and couldn't be bothered to hit up the Gilroy outlets and Capitola was pretty much out of the question. That mall has seriously gone downhill. I figured though I'd go to Monterey as their Macys is a billion times better than the Capitola one and they also had a couple of other stores I was interested n checking out. As I pulled up, there were lots and lots of cars. I hadn't been here in ages!! It's totally changed. Even though there were a ton of cars, it took me less than 8 minutes to find a spot. Parking spots are a plenty here for the most part. Once I got into the mall, there were people, but it didn't feel like many considering how full the parking lot was. I browsed around Macys making mental note of what I wanted to spend my gift card on. I popped into Banana Republic that had some pretty awesome deals. I picked up a top for $30 that was retailed at like $80. Sweet. They also have Ann Taylor Loft, Borders Express, Gap, The Body Shop, Lucy's, White House Black Market, Pottery Barn, Williams and Sonoma and the Apple Store. For food, PF Changs and Whole Foods. I think they've really improved the mall and of course, this is catering to the Monterey/Carmel folks so you're not going to be seeing the super cheapy stores. I didn't bother walking down to see if Mervyns is there still which I should have to get some cheap slippers for around the house. This is a nice alternative to hitting up Valley Fair over in San Jose, plus it's less of a headache. All they need is J. Crew and I think the mall is covered. Haha. read more

Chaos, mayhem and crazy drivers-- Valley Fair in San Jose? Nope Del Monte Center in Monterey. This place HAS CHANGED over time to be this massive shopping center with some trendy stores, restaurants, a Whole Foods and some people who can't **cking drive... I had not been here in a good while (probably about 5 years) GOOD LORD... it was a shock. I will give this place four stars however because 1) I went bra shopping, got my brother shoes and went to the grocery store in under an hour (and found parking with ease) 2) The massive parking despite shady drivers makes it easy to get out, and get whatever you need done. 3) The movie theater and coffee/ eatery choices 4) It is clean and tidy considering all the traffic and there are tons of places to walk around and sit outdoors (there are only so many times I can deal with the musty odor of Capitola Mall) 5) Sunday does not equal chaos To those cars who almost ran into me 1) you went against traffic and were on the wrong side of the street 2) when you back up usually looking back is the best way to see if someone is behind you 3) when someone is really close to you at a stop sign, backing up further and then doing a U-Turn in a busy area.. probably NOT the best thing to do ( read more

Stopped here cause the kids wanted to check out a mall. This place was less than a mile from our hotel. Several spots to eat, and multiple shops. Even a theater if you wanted to take in a movie. It seems to be a lot smaller than a normal mall but that is cool with me. I am not a shopper. Some of the major spots was a Champs Sports where the kids got some better Golden State Warriors gear.
