Five stars for this company! I submitted a online request for a repair on my fridge giving a description of the noise it was making. They emailed me saying that it sounded like something was caught in the fan at the back of the appliance. I pulled out the fridge, took off the back and they were right! I needed my dryer(s) fixed... one dryer was working but making extremely loud noise in the process and other dryer didn't spin. I called on the weekend but they are closed; i did receive a call early next business day to see if i was still interested in getting my appliance repaired. I set up a date - the repres. informed me she'll call me on the day of the appointment to let me know the repair person was on their way and she did. I would say the only reason this company won my heart was the fact they diagnosis two appliances for $65 - I've called several places and most only will diagnostic one appliance which cost up to $70. So basically each appliance cost $32.50; so make sure to have two appliances - even if you don't repair at the time at least you'll know what's the problem. Repair guy greeted with me a smile - he didn't mind that i watched him disassemble my dryer and I also asked a ton of questions. He was very happy to answer and even made small talk; he diagnosed (both dryers) , called for cost, and then repaired (only one). Not sure about the price but for someone who doesn't like working with gas - i was more then willing to pay and he was less a used dryer, so mentally i was fine with it. So I have a work schedule that is tough to work around and I couldn't take time off just for a repair. After emailing them for a while I asked that if a cancellation happened or they could squeeze me in on the 1 day of the week I didn't work, to call me. They did and Brain arrived in the agreed upon time frame and was professional from start to finish, wore his mask the entire time that I laid eyes on him. I think he was here an entire maybe 40 mins and figured out the issue which was a disconnection of some wires to the door, he pointed out my belt was also worn and showed me and I agreed to replace it and he did some cleaning of the lint and gunk from the vent etc. Personally I was happy, my dryer is OLD OLD and I know for a fact I had not replaced the belt in the 10 years I had it and don't know when was the last time my sister had changed it before she gave it to me. I was very happy to be accommodated on the one date I had free, as 3 days after my dryer went out my brother and two 1st cousins died and I was dealing with a lot and worrying about my dryer was an added stress i honestly didn't need. Brian and Kim were great to deal with. I've been hearing about their company for years so when my washing machine stopped working and smoke was coming out of it, they were the first ones I called. Brian showed up when he said he would and was very professional and knew his stuff. Sadly in my case my washer's motor was about dead. Brian told me it was time to get a new washer instead of spending just about as much on having his put a new motor and one other thing in. Unlike other repair places that are only after your money they didn't want me to repair something that was going to be too expensive to fix. I'd recommend them to anyone. The tech tried troubleshooting the issue over the phone, which I appreciated. The tech informed me they would not be in my area for 2 days. Our stove wasn't working after being stored in a pod following water damage in our home. From my first phone call I have been very happy with their response, communication, and repair. During this period of 'social isolation' I wasn't sure how or if my repair would be done. But Brian fixed the stove this morning and was extremely polite and professional. As he was putting away his tools we talked about the steps we were both taking to try to ward off COVID-19. I needed a repair on my drier and called Homeline after researching local contractors on google and yelp. I was pleased with how eager and helpful their customer service (Kim) was. She couldn't schedule an appointment immediately and even referred me to another contractor so I could get the service quicker. After learning availability of the other contractor was the same (called on 12/31 and appt made for 1/4), I went with Homeline. Repair person (Brian - owner) was on time, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. The issue was fixed in less than an hour. Price was fair and I'm a happy customer. Today was the second time I've used Homeline for appliance repair and I called yesterday to have them come out the fix my oven. It occurred to me, that while I don't use my oven a whole lot, especially since we just got a sweet toaster oven, Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I can't cook a turkey in a toaster oven, no matter how sweet it is. I left a message and got a call back within the hour from Kim. Based on the information I gave her, she had a reasonable and knowledge idea of the problem and quoted me a price. She set an appointment for the NEXT day! Brian (I think? Or maybe Steve) was on time, very polite, clean and funny. He was efficient but never made it seem like he was hurrying or taking his time. When he finished, we chatted a bit while he gave my dog lots of pats and kisses that she patiently waited for while he worked. Our washing machine stopped working and I was trying to decide whether to repair or replace since the machine was quite old. I called Homeline to ask about getting it repaired -- the woman who answered the phone was really terrific. She gave me a very rough idea of minimum repair cost, then just out of the goodness of her heart, helped me look at new washers online over the phone to find one that fit our needs. The customer service was outstanding -- really above and beyond, especially since I had decided to buy new and not have them do the repair. I agree with other customers regarding friendly service. And I believe they are quite competent to do the job right. But I was very disappointed to be charged $150 for what amounted to a 1-hour visit that involved cleaning out the drain on our front load washing machine - no parts, just labor. When questioning the high amount I was told that was "standard rate" when a pump has to be removed. Call it what you want - $150 for an hour of labor, in my experience working with various skilled contractors, is excessive. I voiced my displeasure and was offered a reduction to $136, which I declined. This is a honest and accurate review - if I'm wrong about what is reasonable for an hour of routine work (not an emergency call) then others can decide for themselves if they want to pay that much read more
