The owner (as he announced himeslf to me) made the service call for my stove himself (a couple few late expected to say the least). He was very nice and respectful when he finally showed up. However, the service was never rendered. It was fine because he said he that he would reach out to someone the could provide the service that was needed (and this didn't materialized either because I never heard from this so-called different repairman.) I can't fault "Americare Appliance Reair" for that (I don't think?) What I can fault is him for allowing me to pay him to simply reverse my dryer door (while he was already at my place.) A task that seemed quite simple to do, it although also seemed to stumped is personal abilities. After awhile he said that he needed to get a different bracket from his shop and that he would be by my place early in the morning to finish the job. He answered one phone call from me in the morning but never showed up to finish reversing the door (while he left all of the parts scattered about.) He would not answer or returned any more calls (not even before I submitted the review.) I sent several (friendly) courteous messages (during this time) but to no avail. I waited numerous weeks before submitting my review of this small business owner (to give him the "benefit of the doubt" to make himself whole.) I finally realized the he didn't know what he was doing when I googled my dryer's model number (and watched the video on YouTube. Everything that he needed to do for the job was actually provided on the dryer. He didn't need to get a different bracket at all. He just didn't he know what he was doing for all intents and purposes. I watched the video and troubleshooted the rest for myself. He really should feel bad and should mail my money back to me? I sure he that understands that is was wrong and that you all dailed into these reviews... good luck to you all. read more

They were efficient and prompt - easy to schedule and little wait time for appointment. The technician seemed very experienced, answered all of my questions, and explained my options. I love their policy about allowing up to a month after their initial visit to see if the issue reoccurs and they will waive the service fee for coming out again. I experienced this reoccurring issue and the follow-up plan from the visit was enacted. The only complaint I have is that a part was ordered, I was told it would take 4-6 weeks and upon follow-up at the six week mark, it was discover that the part was no longer in production and the plan had to be amended. It seems like they could have figured that out sooner. read more

We called a repair service to fix our oven. They couldn't make it out til January 8th. Not great for the Christmas holidays. My husband did some research and called Americare. They were responsive and were able to come out the next day. Our repairman, Dave, was awesome. Took everything apart, tested, reassembled the oven and it's working great. We shared a good laugh on my DIY failure, which my pride prevents me from describing in this review, where he only charged me the base service call fee which I truly appreciated. I had a bad washer and dishwasher and a young guy showed up after I raised a service request through AHS. He inspected washer and said the motor is bad and he will come back with new parts and replace it. After a week he replaced the motor with new one and found the issue is not resolved. Then he told me this could be transmission problem. He also mentioned that replacing a transmission would be expensive then purchasing a new washer. Then, he said he wanted make a phone call. After the phone call he started saying that he can fix it with a new transmission part. So, I was confused. I asked him how sure you are that the new transmission will resolve the washer issue. He said 90% confident and if the problem still does not resolve there could be some electrical issue and needs to be checked. (It seems he has not found the root cause of the problem and just replacing the parts one by one is the way to resolve it) And I dont know how many more days that will take for him to dignose the problem by replacing each and every part. ***Dishwasher issue also is still not resolved*** This service made me wondered when I saw all 5* reviews about Americare Appliance Repair. In addition, this phone number 248-919-8592 is never answered any call. Only texts and not so responsive to texts either Just an update on Refrigerator door seals was replaced by same technician and it already started to condensate on doors. Amazing appliance repair company! They do exactly what they promise. We had a problem with our newly out of warranty Whirlpool stoce: the door hinge was stuck. They gave us a date and 2 hour window for their repair guy to come by, and he called us when he was 30 minutes away. The part needed to be ordered so he gave us the exact amount to get it installed. Our fifteen year old "Built-in" refrigerator stopped working. Many people told me that was the usual life expectancy and it was time to replace it. Before I spent $10,000 on a new unit (yes, that's how much a 42 inch built-in refrigerator now costs) we decided to call Americare. They came out and told me they thought they knew what the problem was (control board) and could fix the unit. Due to COVID, the part was on back order, but Rich managed to track one down, and had it installed one week later. Refrigerator is working great! No need to buy a new box. Americare is knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. Their rates are very reasonable, and parts were not marked up! The tech arrived on time with the proper PPE, did a quick job of diagnosing the problem (faulty sensor). He had the part in the van and fixed it immediately. I called today for appointment for my 3 year old LG washer. The service manager was extremely helpful and gathered information and diagnosed problem by phone. (Loud airplane nose when spinning). Unfortunately bearing is worn and the new part is more costly than a new machine. In addition there would be a service call charge. I wish I could leave 6 stars! I called Rich re: an issue with my parent's dryer. The dryer is almost 30 yrs old but is one of those "they don't make them like this anymore" dryers. So I was hopeful it could be repaired vs buying one of the new pieces of garbage that they're selling at Lowes/Sears for $900. 1. Rich was super great on the phone doing the intake call. 2. He was able to get us in the very next day. 3. I explained that my mom has underlying health issues and asked if he had any issues with strict COVID PPE protective measures/precautions and he had no problems with that. 4. As promised he called 30 mins before showing up to give my mom time to get it together. 5. He showed up on time and was wearing all the PPE bells and whistles. 6. He fixed the dryer issue (the igniter needed to be replaced) and had the part on his truck-no additional appointment necessary. 7. Bonus Points-he also gave her advice on an issue she was having with her washer AND fixed the soap dispenser on her dishwasher. 8. He was a complete joy and very pleasant-he really understands how to engage with aging clients and put them at ease. Mom is very happy! 9. He's earned a loyal lifetime client! I strongly recommend Rich and his company for you all your appliance repairs. I Have spent the majority of my life (50 yrs) in the Construction business, half in new home construction, with some of Michigans largest and respected builders. My wife who also hails from the same industry ,we are tryinjg to complete our permanent retirement home and bought an expensive LG Gas range 2 years and 6 months back. Six months after warranty ended right before Thanksgiving it went haywire and oven would not come on or could the oven door open. We called another company on the east side, their guy came out , with out doing any testing just said, Mother board is out, $700, dont no when part will be in, $ 80 bucks for the visit. Growing up on a farm I have seen a lot of mechanics and shenanigans, Sorry. We called Rich at Americare, he came right out, ,nice young man, to the Point.
