Wanted to hide the majority of my income, making it that I'd have to put down a significant amount of money. Anyone could have gotten me a loan with 100K down. He told me several times that he was doing me a favor. Then they made me pay off every credit card that I had. The cards were 0% interest offers that I use to consolidate debt. So now they've cost me be about $150K. The underwriter is completely clueless. I went through sourcing hoops. I was asked for a bunch of things that no other bank would have requested. I was asked to lie and say that a gift for my mother's memorial was a gift towards my loan... then two days before closing they have another issue. They've had all of my information from day one. So what was the pre-approval for? Wasn't I in underwriting? Essentially they will keep you jumping through hoops until your under duress and are about to lose your purchase if you don't do the crazy, illegal things they want. Steer very clear.

It took us a little while but Danny and his team were responsive the entire time. At the end of all of it, Danny's original estimates were right about 2.5% off from the final monthly payment, the majority of which is accounted for by a misunderstanding of reported taxes, and the closing cost estimates were right on target. Closing had no issues, and Danny ensured his end of the communications between our agent and attorney were prompt. With all of that time on the phone, you start to get to know someone a little bit too. A 1960s building is not safely equipped to house a dangerous transportation device inside its building. 2/3 of its occupants/families are in an uproar, and the board members and management are not listening.
