Where to start? Never paid so much for an accountant and got poorer service than this. Bonnie was condescending to us as we were trying to get out of a financial hole. On top of that, when I reached out during the slow season for basic guidance regarding my payroll deductions, she blanked me. We thought that after paying $1800 for a basic joint return, we would be able to get some simple guidance in the off season. We fired Bonnie for incompetence due to an entirely avoidable error that should have been caught by a first-year tax accountant (I caught the error myself). To add insult to injury she wouldn't refund us the 2 years of accounting fees, of which she didn't earn. We had been clients of hers for over a decade. Her error cost us over $15k in back taxes owed, plus interest, fees, refiling, and time. Bonnie's response was to pay us $600 for "our troubles". It has been 2 years since this fiasco and we are still untangling this mess. It has put my business and, thus our livelihood, under immense stress. read more
