And I didn't want to work with a realtor because I didn't want to feel pressured to buy anything before I was ready. However, I saw a house on the market and knew I needed to see it, so I started searching for a realtor. And that's how I found Krissi, on Instagram. I knew that finding the right realtor for me was going to be key for me during the home buying process. I started looking at houses this past winter, but I didn't have high expectations that I would find anything for at least 10+ months. Because I expected an extended timeframe, ensuring my realtor was someone I would enjoy being around was critical. Luckily, Krissi showed up as her authentic (and fun) self. It didn't take me long at all to realize I made the right choice to have her as my realtor. Plus, when I informed her that I wasn't looking to buy immediately but just wanted someone to be available if I needed them, she was patient and understanding. There was never any pressure -- just occasional check ins if she hadn't heard from me in awhile. Going through the home buying process with her felt rather comfortable and stress-free (crazy, especially in this market) -- the communication was always open and honest. In the end, we ended up buying a house sooner than we expected (YAY!) and only submitted one offer during the whole process -- the house I now call my home. And, the icing on the cake... we secured it for under asking price. But that's not even the best of it, Krissi had recommendations (and an entire team supporting her) throughout the entire process that made the process a breeze for a first-time home buyer.
