Some of the Homesense/Winners/Marshals stores get a little chaotic after the shoppers have had time to go through everything and shuffle the clearance items around, but the staff at this store seem to be working really hard to keep this location spiffy. This shopping area of Stittsville has been really well planned out - the parking lots are well organized, there is a good use of roundabouts to separate the areas and help to prevent that "I Got Here First" Stop-Sign issue, and the assortment of stores is very useful.

You're welcome, economy! The footwear section was great. It had a decent selection of size 11 shoes. I ended up getting a pair of Crocs sliders that felt so good putting on. There were a number of Grogu items. I ended up getting another PopSocket. The price and design were right. If you like water bottles and on-the-go drinkware, this store has an extensive selection. I also picked up a pig Squishmallows plushie. The Squishmallows here were cool. You can also get backpacks. The facial products and nail polish sections were wonderful. I ended up getting toner and a Mickey Mouse nail set. I found a copper tongue scraper. It reminded me of the one that my dad used to have. On my travel day back to Markham, I grabbed one for my dad, which he loves using. Less gagging. Better breath! Staff here are so nice. Bring your own bag. Get your TJX rewards card scanned. Floor plans are constantly being switched around in attempt to revive and brighten up the space. Regardless of the amount of people in line, the checkout is slow and tedious. If you suffer from hot flashes, waiting in this line to checkout may trigger one. Parking is always a mess here, especially during the weekend & trying to cross from the parking area to the sidewalk is usually a challenge due to the heavy traffic and cars not stopping to let you cross. I now park around the corner at Staples, so much easier! I'll always be a fan of Winners as I love the thrill of the hunt for brand name items, but there are far better Winners out there. This location is just A-OK!

They have a surprisingly good selection of snacks from the UK, especially chocolates. And they are much cheaper than specialty candy stores. They carry Tunnock's brand items from the UK: Snowballs, Tea Cakes and Caramel Wafer Biscuits! I love these. They also have a good selection of Asian products. They have Turtle Chips from Korea! They also carry my favourite ramen brand from Korea: Buldak! Oh yeah, bring on that fire chicken! Haha. They have the largest selection of Buldak flavours I've seen outside of an Asian grocery store. Their regular mainstream items are reasonably priced and they often have sale items in-stock. Their pharmacists are competent and diligent. My parents get their prescriptions filled at this Walmart, and without going into the specifics, I can say that my interactions with the pharmacy staff in straightening out issues related to prescribers not being as clear as they could have been, have been positive. I have been impressed with their professionalism and committment to getting things right. Not all Walmarts are equal. This one is better than the rest. Lots of free parking, obviously.

This is a Winners (which for my American friends is like a TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, etc.) that is attached to a Homesense (like the houseware version of Winners). This location doesn't carry a lot of cool brands and there is no "Runway Section." That being said, I have found a few pieces here, but mostly just athletic wear. Unless it's a return from another location, you likely won't find any fashion-forward items here. I love Winners in general, and I still go hoping to score that awesome find one day, lol. The space is big and it looks like other suburban Winners (as opposed to the "urban concept" Winners or the quirkiest Winners I've been to which is the one on Front St in Toronto which is in the space of several converted row homes). This is in a strip mall, so naturally lots of free parking.

On the flip side, it is convenient if you need to do some shopping on both sides and only want to check out once. This is the only location we've got in Orleans. I guess the next closest one would be the one on St. Laurent. If you're selecting between this location and St. Laurent, I recommend picking this one.

It's been a while since my last review for Bouclair…read more.. I decided to pop in today because I saw a pillow on their online website that I wanted to get that was on clearance. It wasn't too busy in there, actually for a Saturday afternoon it was pretty quiet. Their prices are meh, somethings I find are overpriced, so I usually wait until things go on clearance. Speaking of clearance items...make sure you inspect them well, I found a lot of their items on clearance had defects, were stained or had some kind of rip or tear in it. Sales associates usually keep to themselves. Overall, I find this chain to just be meh....In all honestly, Bouclair is not a place I really frequent anymore in store, unless there is something online that I really wanted. With places like HomeSense and Winners...my wallet and heart usually gravitates to those stores these days.

Grace in the Kitchen is a kitchenware and gourmet foods store in Kanata…read more I went in in search of some scones because I was served some of their scones at my in-laws and they were delicious, but I went on a Friday and was told they only have them on the weekends :( I browsed around and they have lots of cool products, but they are pricey. They do have a clearance section towards the back of the store, but most of the stuff there was actually past its best before date. If you love gourmet stinky cheeses, they had lots! As for me, I'll just stick to brie, harvati and other benign to the nose cheeses thank you very much ;) Fun store to poke around. Lots of free parking.

They have everything an upscale kitchen could need - from the tools to the groceries, including (but not limited to) spices - right down the pepper and salt mills, cheeses, chips, dishes, pots and pans, and top end coffee makers. I will definitely be back to try out the coffee shop in the corner. You need the rest that refreshes (coffee) after a stroll through this shop. What was I waiting for?? They had some very good sales - leftovers from Christmas. I picked up a mug for myself (which had the design of a scarf and mittens. What can I say? I'm a knitter!) and one of those stoneware cookie molds which came with a recipe. This was on sale at a good price; I've seen it at double that elsewhere in the city. Did you know that there's a difference in the mechanisms of a pepper and salt mills? Apparently the salt can rust and corrode a pepper mill, and the pepper is too hard for a salt mill. Whodathunk?! I actually went in looking for coffee pots. The ones we have at work have been seriously used and abused. I'm also feeling the need for an espresso or latté machine, and was hoping I might find one of those nifty combo things here. Turns out that the design I'm thinking of is a bit passé. Too bad for me! However, the good coffee makers they have here are too good for work (read: expensive), and could almost be professional, like for coffee shops. So, I will have to keep shopping. Yum. I've just gotta say this place was very inspiring!!

Selection is similar to other Winners, but I tend to have more luck at this location than others. They seem to have lots of small sizes. Their jewelery counter is also good with lots of unique pieces. Since it's in the suburbs, it doesn't feel cramped like those "urban concept" stores (e.g. Queen/Sparks location and Lansdowne Park location). There's lots of free parking in the plaza. It's in the same plaza as a Shoppers Drug Mart, Metro, Mark's, The Butchery, and Kardish. If you're hungry there's also a Quiznos (one of the few left in the city), a Shawarma place, The Butchery/Vera's Burger Shack, and a Starbucks. Or if you're feeling for a sit down restaurant, there's Lapointes too.

I decided to get it, for it was a unicorn, and I see it being practical to wear around your waist or a sling bag. It's also different. I spent some time in the shoe section. I got a pair of Converse sneakers. The price was right and I do not have a pair of black ones. It was a pleasant surprise to find a good selection of calligraphy pens. I went with the old-school pen with interchangeable nibs that you need to dip into ink. I have the urge to get back into calligraphy. I now need to get some ink. The man at the checkout area was great. He scanned my TJX Style card, rang up my total, helped me get the transaction processed, and bagged my items. He was competent and polite. There was plenty of parking in front of the store at around 7 pm. I like the selection of items at this Winners. (217)
