The company they outsource the repair to blames them; they blame the repair company. I'm the one left rearranging my schedule and frustrated by the lack of service and accountability. This was very expensive furniture and I had much higher expectations. Maybe 3 stars is too many, but I really do like the furniture, but kind of wishing we had gone somewhere else.

We have been using Joe Evans at Ethan Allen furniture in South Setauket for many years. Our house has literally become a small warehouse for their furniture. What I love most is the level of professionalism and customer service that we have gotten from Joe. It's not just about selling furniture, it's literally about designing a comfortable and beautiful home. Joe knows the current pieces in the showroom as well as a huge selection of upholstery. I love the fact that a couch can look so many different ways depending upon what it is upholstered in. Most stores don't offer this high end customized option. Enter your typical Long Island furniture store. either get gray, brown, maybe occasionally a blue and some more gray! It's like ice cream, vanilla , chocolate or strawberry. Ethan Allen's 's furniture is worth every penny because you get what you pay for. It is incredibly durable and extremely well made. Certainly you can get less money however, I have not found the sane long lasting quality. Joe has come to our home to help us to measure, come up with pieces and ideas as well as things is small is picking out paint colors/ He now puts it on a computer with an architectural rendering of what the room would look like. It actually came out better than it looked on a computer screen and a print out. I could not be more pleased with the outcome and look forward to many many happy years even if I'm in quarantine. I mean if…read moreanything, I'd probably think I'd be penning some negative words for a furniture store, especially after all the odd, awkward, and uncomfortable experiences my fiancée and I had prior. But no, my friends. Ashley Furniture Home Store of Lake Grove is the opposite of all those unfortunate things you often run into. They shine through as a true winner when looking to furnish the interior of your home (don't let the low Yelp score fool you!) Why? Well let's start with the variety of items available. Ashley balances their styles between modern/contemporary and a more rustic/farmhouse vibe to give you a nice range of furniture to choose from. I'll add in that the prices of their stuff is totally reasonable and probably falls in the middle tier of affordability for furniture (maybe even a little cheaper). Throw in quality that (to this point after a few months of owning our items) seems great and you've got a recipe for success. Though when you really stop and think about your experiences with furniture stores, one of the largest parts to it all is your interactions with the employees. My fiancée and I have quickly skimmed a store and bolted after being hounded, heckled, and followed by staff (even at other Ashley's!). But at Lake Grove, the people working here are exceptional. It's not just one of them. They're all a class act. Let's start with Marcel. He spent a good two hours with us going through bedroom sets, mattresses, payment plans, and even some living room furniture inquiries. The whole time it almost felt like I was talking to a friend who just happened to work at Ashley. Marcel is kind, informative, and honest with his sales tactics which makes you want to return. We did just that a second time a month later. Marcel happened to see us, remembered our names, and even though he was helping other customers, he said if we needed anything to let him know. Wow. You'd say it almost doesn't get better than that, but when we returned to Ashley a third time to finally purchase some living room furniture, we were helped by Patrick (Marcel's partner) and Jeff. Both gave us the same thoughtful attention that we encountered with Marcel. They spent plenty of time with us checking out different sofas and chairs and discussing options. Never did we feel pressured to buy anything. Patrick even took a pillow around from the living room set we wanted to help in matching colors that worked for what we were looking for with an accent chair. It was just another fabulous experience. Overall, Ashley Furniture Home Store of Lake Grove is so much more than the 2 1/2 stars on Yelp that it unfortunately has. It deserves the five star treatment because that's how you'll feel after interacting with this staff and finding some furniture that you'll really love (which we do!). Oh and one final tip: If/when they offer you water, coffee, or a chai latte, take the chai latte! It's delicious.

The chairs are all loose and stripped and the finish on the kitchen table that we paid $1500 for is wearing off for no reason. I use place mats and silicone table protectors.
